I worked with two salespersons, both new, after discovering my car would need a lot of work. I found the service department and the sales department to be far from what I have come to expect in most dealerships.
I was pleased with my service the last time I came in, and I am pleased with the sale and package I got this weekend. Everyone from the person on the front desk on seems to understand sales and service. Nice.

This is my sixth experience buying a car from a dealership. I know Beaverton Toyota sells quality used cars; they clean them up and they check them out thoroughly before they list them.
My salesperson Von saw me through from the beginning to end. There was no good cop bad cop to deal with. There was only the good cop who even signed all my financial paperwork with me and caught a couple very minor errors that were printed out and made sure everything was done correctly. I gave him a very tight time line and he was able to move along very quickly on my behalf. he was authentic; he cared about my wife and I and our needs. He was genuinely interested in us and our background.
I have kept his card and will recommend all my friends and family to Von and Beaverton Toyota.

We first went to the local dealer on the coast. Their building is run down, the grounds a blight, and the showroom very old school with stained carpeting. They use the same “high pressure” sales pitch we encountered four years ago when we were car shopping. We did not like it then, and we do not like it now.
We decided to try Capitol Toyota in Salem. Car buying was almost fun! The building and grounds are welcoming, the showroom modern and clean, and the sales pitch relaxed and helpful. Our PR man, Mike Brown, was professional, expressed an excellent understanding of Toyota products, and learned more about the RX 350 in the process. Thank you, Mike, for a job well done. BTW Hunter, our yellow lab, really likes the heated passenger seat! 😀

Now days does not seem folks take enough time out to compliment a job well done. Sooo Here's the story . Last couple of days the phone in my Tundra went wonky on me. Thought at first it was my personal phone but Verizon told me it was not the phone(turns out it was) so what to do? Best idea I've has in some time popped into my head. Stop by and see my friends at HomeTown Toyota. Explained the problem to Jr. he without hesitation said he knew just the guy to talk to. Out comes Cameron and within minutes he figured out the problem. everything back to normal.

They really only do sales. The sales department is great, but the service department is incompetent. They diagnose problems just by replacing parts and charging until they find the problem. It took us 3 visits and over $800 of repair with the same problem until they discovered it was a leak and a $23 relay. The negative reviews on this site and others are accurate. A good example of their style of work is the last time I got the car I noticed that the air conditioner switch was gone. So I had to go back and the technician comes out looking for it under the seat. He had forgotten to put it back.

I went in last month to check out a used Chevy pickup, planning to trade in my current Chevy. They looked over my trade in, and we couldn't really come to terms on the price difference. I was emailing the sales guy for a few weeks, then we finally settled on a price. I went in on xmas eve, checkbook in hand. Then the "used car manager" tells me he needs to look my truck over again. My truck was the same condition they looked at weeks prior. He then tells me my truck isn't worth what they offered. They required more cash on my end. I took my keys and went home. I'll never set foot on that lot ever again.

They did get my $20, but they will now never get any more of my business.

Failure to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle resulted in my being stranded at night along I-5 50 miles north of Sacramento. My engine in my Sienna van was destroyedand it was rendered fit only for auction. I am a senior citizen woman and I was very, very scared as I sat in the dark waiting for nearly 3 hours for a tow truck. This could all have been avoided if a simple, physical inspection of my vehicle had been done instead of running through the computer and driving it for 6 miles.
