This is my fourth Subaru and I've liked everyone.
Jason and the team did a great job making my 2012 Forester run like a top. Repaired the multiple oil leaks, recommended services that made a lot more sense when the engine was pulled, and made it their mission to troubleshoot a misfiring cylinder. (Problem was a bit of carbon in the bottom of the cylinder.)

The entire experience starts with the service manager and Shane is one the best I have ever come across. He has been great to work with every time I have been in with my car. Very friendly, helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and at minimal cast. Shane is a true professional and a credit to Gateway and Subaru Motors. The team he has behind him are fantastic as well. The work is always done well and in a timely manner. Usually out of there sooner than I expected.
Thanks for all of the help and great work. You never want to bring your car in for service but with the service department at Gateway it's a whole lot easier.

We scheduled an appt ahead of time and everything was ready when we showed up and took a minimal amount of time to check in and get a rental car. Car was ready when promised.

I bought a Limited XT Outback from this dealership on July 3rd, 2020 (10 days ago) and took my new car on July 13th, 2020 for a tow hitch installation.
To my surprise, when I came back to get my car, it had the following damages and / or issues:
1. Rear bumper scratches all over the place. Specially in the corners. It was clearly left on the floor without any protection.
2. The Rear bumper under guard cut, was completely miscalculated leaving it not aligned, meaning that the left side is longer that the right one.
3. The hood had three scratches which were not there before.
4. All the doors, especially around the handles were greasy. Fingerprints and even the hands of service technicians were clearly visible.
5. All my personal belonging were thrown in the back seat without any care. I even found a box on top of the rear elbow rest, which the technician did not even had the courtesy to close before placing my items on the rear.
6. My old tags and metal plates were also thrown on top of the rear leather seats without any care. This could have damaged the leather seats.
As you may understand, I was surprised and unable to accept the poor job performed on my brand new $40K car. This was my first ever experience with Subaru Gaithersburg Service and it will probably be the last. Besides all this, I would like to mention that I paid almost a thousand dollars for this poor and careless job!
I do not have any more confidence in the person/dealership who performed the work, especially in such a delicate job as installing a tow hitch.

After visiting Norris Honda and Firestone regarding a repair, I chose Graff's, as they seemed more confident about doing the job than Firestone and much less money than Norris Honda. Honda said they charged so much because their mechanics were certified - I asked because I knew the job did not take much time and the parts were not that expensive. Anyway, the job was done well by Graff's and within my budget. I recommend them.

My Pontiac Grand Am was involved in a fender bender in which my trunk lid was bent and my rear bumper was punctured. Hanagan's was recommended to me as an inexpensive and high-quality auto repair shop. I was impressed with the quick and friendly service. Even when I had to return to have a followup repair (they had repainted my entire trunk lid and a little bit of the paint had come loose from where the trunk closed), they did the work quickly and cheerfully--no cost. It's never fun to have your car in the shop but Hanagan's at least makes the experience as stress-less as possible

Let me start by saying I do not usually write reviews but with the service issues I had with this dealer was really unacceptable. It happened to me a few times and I know it was my mistake going back hoping that things will be better from the last time, but I was wrong. The first time I went there was for a check engine light. That was around 5 pm when they scheduled me and after waiting for around 2 hours with my kids, they said cannot accommodate me anymore because the Tech already left for the day. I went there for nothing. So, I was told to just drop off the car early the following day so I could pick it up and was assured the car will be ready by 12. They gave me a ride home and waited. It's already 2 pm and still, no call from them. I decided to call and found out that my car hasn't been checked yet. No updates from them or whatever. Now, they said the car will be ready by 6 for pick up. I called before going there around 6 because its a 40 min drive from my place and guess what? My car wasn't checked yet and needs to stay for another night. I am already frustrated with their lack of communication. When I went back the following day, the car wasn't fixed because they were not sure where the problem was. Out of my frustration, I just took my keys and left. I have not learned my lesson yet so I came back this week for a simple wheel alignment. I had no choice because they were the only one that has an available schedule. The attendant accidentally snapped my transmission cable when parking my car because after rolling the car on a sloped on a neutral gear, he put it on first gear. He wasn't aware that first gear on a stick shift cars are to be used on a complete stop only, Subaru cars are known for that. They called the service manager and I was told that the car needs to stay for the night again since no one is there to fix the problem. Take note, the manager knows that my car has modifications on and still, they accepted it for an alignment. The following day came, I called early in the morning to inform the manager about adjusting the height of the car before aligning it and he said no problem. I got a call from him after an hour saying that they cannot align the car due to the aftermarket parts. I am so frustrated with their lack of communication, they really really need to work on that. They know about the aftermarket parts the day before and yet, they wasted my time again.
I know some of you will agree or disagree with my review but I just want to voice out what happened because of my frustration and wasted time. I hope this wouldn't happen to anyone anymore.

Would never recommend. Very poor service department. Repairs not completed. Agents do not answer messages left by phone and email....just one example: have taken car in 2 times to get sunroof leaks fixed. Entire inside of car wet with condensation, floor mats soaked in water. After 2 days and $800+ paid, leaks/water recurred. On 11/11 tried to make appt. via internet but site broken. Sent emails to Brian, service agent and Bob Schrader, Gen. manager to set appt. On 11/12, called, spoke to Leo, Service mgr. Said he would have my car picked up TODAY, would let me know time. Never heard frrom Leo. By 2pm, called Leo, Brian, left messages. Still no responses. Finally got Brian on phone at 4:30. He thought Leo made plans for pickup. Did not say why never answered voice mail messages. Said he would have car picked up tomorrow. FINALLY heard from Leo at 5pm, said he "got busy and forgot". Great service!!??,eh?I Am NOT associated with VW dealership or service. center.
