Salesperson, Jordan Miles, has sold us numerous cars and we always get a great deal and have never had a bad experience. We have used this company (sales and service) for 15 years and don't foresee us ever going anywhere else!
My kind of vehicle shopping - Randy H
My experience started online. I found a preowned vehicle I was interested in. It took me a few days to decide to actually go look at it and look forward to a test drive. When I arrived I was told the vehicle had been sold...waited too long. Maria Gomez apologized and ask me if I’d be interested in a new vehicle...i wasn’t prepared to spend that much. Maria then introduced me to Napoleon who asked if he could make me a deal would I be interested. My response “It’s going to have to be one heck of a deal”. While Napoleon was trying to work it out I mentioned to Maria that I don’t want to do the dealership dance that I’ve experienced in the past. Where several people come in and out...they let you sit for long periods hoping to wear you down. Fast forward, Napoleon came back with a deal and to my surprise was right in my price range with no strings...I’m now the owner of a brand new truck for what I was thinking I’d get a used one for. Thanks Maria, Napoleon and Ethan for making this a very pleasurable buying experience.
Service Dept - Lori
The service dept employees, especially Jason, are very friendly and professional. They changed the oil and rotated the tires in about an hour. The waiting room is comfortable and warm. They always do a great job.
No help - Nathan
I bought my used chevy truck around the first of December and when I completed the paperwork, the finance guy was extremely pushy for me to buy a warranty that would add a lot of expense to the price of the truck and also tried pushing gap insurance which would add even more expense. I didn't purchase either one. It's easy to spend someone else's money, and a lot of reputable dealerships give you a 30 warreny on used cars. Needless to say, the finance guy made me feel very uneasy. After only 4 days, I noticed a problem with the engine and when I took it back the next Saturday the service department wanted to charge me to see what was wrong with it. So the following week, I took it to Broadway service center in Jefferson City where Jerry told me the engine needed to be replaced. I asked Morristown Chevrolet if they could help with only half of the expense, then I got a call from Joe who told me because I didn't buy a warranty and I didn't let them fix it, they weren't going to help with the expense. After buying a truck with a bad engine, I didn't trust them to fix my truck. They should stand behind their vehicles and treat customers better.
Joe you did lose a lot of business because of this.
Other shopers beware.
Customer Service at its Worst... - Louis Josey
Needed a/c repair and after spending over $800 was told the rear a/c line needed replacing and was on back order, an additional $800+ estimated cost. After calling back on 3 separate occasions during a month long time frame, was told we will call you when it comes in. Now, over 2 months later, no call back, summer is over, and still no a/c. Really don't have anything positive to say other than, your just another number, really don't care about you attitude by service mgr, don't call us we'll call you, etc...No wonder people don't like dealerships, especially Volunteer Chevrolet in Sevierville, TN.
Your hometown I don't give a flip about you or your car attitude. Since the ownership change this dealership is simply horrible, and it shows. Now I need a new engine, but promise i'll go to a Knoxville Dealership to get it replaced, and they will ask why I came there when Volunteer is only 2 miles from my house...
No stars for me I give them a zero - Darrinw
This place need to be shut down, I paid $794 for service and my car is still not fixed. They need to hire someone who know what the xxxx their doing. I will not buy a car again from this place. They got 43,000 from me and $25,000 from my wife never again.
Great experience buying a new car - divemaster24
I recently purchased a Volt at Don Ledford. Carl made the process enjoyable and went above and beyond (I forgot my garage door opener in my trade in and he brought it to me the next day, saving me a long trip back to the dealership). I highly recommend Don Ledford. Go see Carl if you are looking for a new car!
Dishonest, Made the Problem Worse! - aquist93
First off- they were super great to me in the service department UNTIL I left a good review on their website. Then it all started to go downhill.
We started having problems when our 2002 Chevrolet Malibu started overheating. We put more coolant into the surge tank, it filled up fine, but the next day it overheated and the surge tank was empty. Suspecting a leak, I took it to the Walker Chevrolet Service Center because they were so helpful when I was trying to get my vehicle to pass emissions just a month prior.
They fit me into their busy schedule, which was really great of them to do, and did a pressure test. Almost an hour later, they came back to tell me they found no leaks; however, the whole cooling system was "gunky" (they described it like the film in a fish tank that hasn't been cleaned) and they believed it had never been taken care of in the life of the vehicle. They offered to flush it- twice to be certain- to get the gunk out, then the would refill it and pressure test again to make sure they didn't miss anything.
The quote they gave me was a few dollars less than what the total came to, so I was unimpressed with that part. I was also unimpressed with $300 to flush my system, that seemed excessive. But I paid and they gave me back my car and said I was all good, no leaks were found.
FOUR days later, the car started SMOKING while my husband was driving home from work and suddenly went from fine to overheating. We took it back to Walker Chevrolet the next day to try to figure out what was going on. I had an appointment, and even arrived for that appointment a little early, but it still took over three hours to figure out what was wrong. They updated me once during that time- the first time, they said it was going to take several hours and offered to shuttle me home...until they noticed (apparently for the first time since coming in??) that I had a toddler and they said they couldn't move my car seat over to get me home and we'd both just have to wait. The only other time they talked to me was to tell me what the problem was.
THREE gaskets were suddenly leaking and the car needed $1200+ in work to take care of. I asked how that could happen since we just took our car in less than a week ago and there were no leaks. TJ talked around the problem- saying the "gunk" from before was "masking" the problem (though they cleaned out the "gunk" and tested again, according to them, so shouldn't they have found it?) then saying that the problem was driving it around when it was in bad condition (they had told me less than a week prior that the cooling system was fine, so I had no reason NOT to drive it, I trusted their assessment). When I expressed that they might be responsible- at least for not actually solving the problem the first time and telling me it was fine to drive which made the problem worse- he just kept talking around these points. Then he suggested that if I didn't have $1200 to fix it, that it might be good for a trade in.
I said I had to talk to my husband, and they offered to get my car seat to their shuttle car and get me home. I'd already had to WALK with my toddler to a Walgreens to get lunchables to eat in their waiting area AND they had woken my toddler from taking her afternoon nap on a chair in the waiting area. I only did these things because they said they COULDN'T take me home before.
So they shuttle me home and my husband and I decided to trade in the car...but somewhere else. We didn't trust Walker Chevrolet with our car any longer.
When I went back to pick up the car, they brought it around for me and said they'd had to jump start it. They tried to tell me the battery needed additional testing and there might be more wrong with it and they needed to keep it longer, but I told them to give me the keys to my car and let me leave. They kind of laughed at me and shrugged their shoulders like "good luck." They went from helpful to condescending practically overnight.
Until we could trade in the car at a different dealership, we had to jump start the car every time we started it because the car would overheat if we drove it long enough to get the battery charged back up. The battery should not have been bad, it was only a year old!! They killed my battery in the one night they had it and tried to use that as an excuse to keep my car there. I suspect they wanted to do that so they could give me pennies for my car in trade in value and get me to buy a car at their location.
I got a Toyota and am more than happy with my decision. My husband and I have sworn off Chevrolet for all future car purchases, just in case we'd ever need to bring it to Walker Chevrolet for any reason.
(They also never gave me the opportunity to review this visit on their website. Once they get a good review, the service goes downhill fast. I wouldn't trust any review on their site, at least not the good ones!)
Disappointed in loaner car policy. - Wiseguy
I had a warranty issue with my 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. When I dropped it off the job was going to take more than an hour. I was told they do not do loaner vehicles.
ESTIMATE - Rediron
Freindly clean fast. They were good about explaining what’s good or bad. My only issue is that when there’s work to be done on your vehicles ??. They need to PRINT THE ESTIMATE out by computer ?? NOT A HAND written paper on back of something else. A complete break down of what work.... parts... charges will be done

Brand New LEMON!! - Cdell
Brand new 2017 Malibu with less than 25 miles on it when we drove it off the lot. It's been back to this dealer at least 10 times!! Still having the same issues along with other issues with it to this day!! They push vehicles and sale crap!! Apparently their maintenance department doesn't know what they are doing either. Only gave a 1 Star because I had to!
