Outstanding experience - therinj
Justin, the sales agent, did amazing work. He was very patient to work with us and our four children. He knew exactly what we were looking for before we knew. The dealership did quick efficient work and did not pressure us to get any more than we needed/wanted.
Excellent Customer Service - Michael1995
I have to say Ray Waters was an excellent salesman and a very patient one. I picked out a truck I liked and we test drove it and came back to dealership and Ray filled out all the paperwork and then I seen another truck on the lot that I liked better so he had to re-do all the paperwork. He worked late into the evening hours with my wife and I and didn't mind at all. He said to me as long as you all are happy with the truck I will stay here all night and do what ever it takes. After we signed all the paperwork he took us out to the truck and demonstrated everything on the truck for us. I would recommend Whitten Brothers to anyone. It was a great experience, had a great salesman, and great customer service. Thanks again Ray for putting us in a very nice truck.

Fast Service! - April29
My husband and I had agreed to buy a Jeep beforehand. We were greeted promptly upon arrival at the dealership by Lewis Ashlock. He helped to assess what we wanted in a Jeep and we were able to test drive multiple vehicles before deciding. We did not purchase the first day but he called a few days later to see if he could help further. When we decided to purchase from Pomoco CDJR, Kelsey helped us modify the vehicle to our specifications and get a protection plan. Patricia then helped us to settle the financial obligations to something affordable for us. Thanks to whole team!

Great Experience Every Time - joshwyant22
I have purchased at least 8 vehicles in my life. The last 3 have all been from Auto World. They have a great staff, very friendly, and always helpful. They always work to get me the payment I want and once it was even less than I asked for. I suspect, if I buy another vehicle, it will probably be from them as well.

Should have never taken my Jeep in for service. - LatitudeAttitude
I really hate leaving a bad review, but my email asked me to. I loved my Jeep until I took it in for service and recalls. It's not been the same. The transmission now slips, my liftgate fails to life quite often. Both things supposedly corrected on recalls. I wasn't having any problems before taking it in for service and regret it terribly as I must keep this vehicle for a long time. I called about the problem right away and was given some strange explanation about the 'slipping' and that it was normal in the newer vehicles, yet friends have the same vehicle & don't have a problem. After learning from mechanics that makes no sense at all, I called my salesman to get his thoughts before my daughter purchased a Jeep also and given the same lame excuse. Live and learn (and pay bigtime:( Never again!! Unless I have a problem no recall corrections for me. The service techs were very accommodating and kind but that doesn't help my Jeep run any better.
Avoid this place - jrfromffx
A while back my wife and I were looking for a Jeep, we went in to this place and after waiting for half an hour for the one and only wrangler sales person to finish with a previous customer (5 minutes), go have a smoke and pal around with his friends (25 minutes) he was finally able to give us a test drive in a model that was nothing like what we were interested in, no matter we got a test drive. We got back and told the guy what we wanted my wife had 3 things it had to be, green, automatic, Rubicon. The guy told us I don't have anything like that. No offer to look around, no talk of ordering one from the manufacturer nothing. He suggested a couple options that came close that he had on the lot. We left, he didn't seem to mind. I found exactly what I wanted on my own at Darcars in Rockville, they were awesome by the way.
Fast forward a couple months and I'm having problems with my stereo shutting off randomly. Since I passed by this awful place on my way home at the time, I stopped in. The service writer very rudely to sent me away because I didn't have an appointment. Didn't offer to have some underling take a look because all it needed was for the software to be reflashed (takes 3 minutes) or even offer to make an appointment. Just said he didn't see me on the schedule come back when I have an appointment.
So as my review the whole place it terrible, avoid it. All of these positive reviews are people who don't mind being jerked around, or are friends/family of the employees trying to help out.
deceiving sales tactics - dk89
After purchasing my 2018 Jeep Cherokee and doing research (obviously too late), I read reviews of the same situations that happened to me. Leckner Chrysler Jeep and Dodge in King George, Virginia is advertising vehicles for prices that are super low and then adding crazy amounts of "upgrade fees" to the vehicle after. The Jeep I purchased was “on sale” for $9935 off of the advertised price. By the time I went to sign, the fees they added ended up making the vehicle only $1,000 off. I have never had so many fees at the time of purchasing a vehicle. I was told that there were dealer upgrades not listed on the sticker- however, there was no sticker at all and when I checked on uconnect’s website (similar to Onstar for Jeep vehicles), there are no dealer installed add-ons.
Before buying the vehicle, I took it for a test drive. It drove great and after driving around for a bit, I took it back to the dealership. I opened the door and Adam L., my sales guy, asked me how it was. I told him I liked it but wished it had navigation. He said they could add that for $600 but that it had Apple Carplay so it wasn’t necessary unless I really wanted a standalone navigation system. I decided it wasn’t necessary if it had CarPlay and we went in to sign papers. When I went to leave, I realized they didn’t put gas in it so they sent another sales guy, Scottie B., to run and fill it up with gas. I asked him if he could help me figure out how to get CarPlay to work and he played around with it and asked where the sticker for the car was. I told him it didn’t have one on it. He said he didn’t think it had it but to take it to a local dealership later and “play stupid” and its probably just an upgrade they can install but Leckner’s upgrade system was down so they couldn’t do it there. I thought it was odd, but after spending over 4 hours at the dealership, I was ready to go. I got home and logged onto the uconnect website and, of course, there are no available updates.
I tried several times to get in touch with a sales manager and after 8 or 9 failed attempts, I reached out to the Better Business Bureau. They sent two letters to them asking for clarification- both of which got no response. As a final attempt, they called the dealership and also got no response. After three failed attempts, the BBB closed the case and made a note on Leckner’s account. You can find that on their website.
As a final step, I called Jeep’s corporate office and spoke to two people on two different occasions, both of which let me know that they spoke with the dealership (while I was on hold) and that the sales manager would reach out to me. That never happened, so today I called one more time and FINALLY got a hold of Dustin R., the sales manager. He told me that I shouldn’t have waited a month and a half after getting the vehicle and that his hands were tied. Nothing can be done. Oh, and Scottie doesn't work there anymore so he has no way to verify anything...
BUYER BEWARE- Leckner is after your money and does not have your best interest in mind. Stay far away from their shady tactics and go elsewhere.
WORST EXPERIENCE WE’VE EVER HAD - Plrod2
We came into dealership fully intending to buy a 2018 Jeep Rubicon ($50,000) when we arrived we were greeted by one of the coolest salesman we’ve met, named Zach. Zach was great and showed us different options on the lot. We decided to go for the one in the showroom, which was a little more than we wanted to spend but we loved it. We had a trade in, and at the Kelly blue book value the basic stock price was $18000 but our vehicle had thousands of dollars in upgrades. Everything was going great until the manager tried giving us well below the trade in price and refused to work some numbers out. The manager let a $50,000 deal walk out over not willing to work with us. I think our salesman Zach was absolutely wonderful but the finance and management team here is a complete joke! The next morning Richmond Ford ended up going over the Kelly blue book value and still gave us money off our vehicle. We ended up buying a $60,000 vehicle from a dealership that wanted our business and did anything they could to keep us from having a bad experience! If you have a trade in I would strongly suggest going elsewhere! If you intend to buy from here I would strongly suggest asking for Zach! He tried his best and is amazing but his management team lost a sale from him!
Bad service department - Aks
I purchased a 2011 Dodge Ram at Starr Motors Aug of that year. I’ve taken the truck in for a clicking/ticking/ knocking noise numerous times over the years. They have diagnosed it as a “hemp tick” and front end axle noises. They’ve replaced the axles and that didn’t fix the issue. I taken it up there and have taken rides with the mechanics to show them and replicate the noises. The noises always come up when I take my foot off the gas. A lower end tapping is always heard. After talking to Joe the service manager and Tina the service writer today April 26 2018 after explaining the problems I was having with my truck after dropping it off with them a little over a week ago they miss diagnosed the problem. They reset the check engine light and changed the oil and sent me on my way. No one checked the oil. I changed my engine oil after seeing there was no oil pressure after the truck warmed up. The oil was full of nonmagnetic metal, gold in color. The service manager told me he was going to call dodge and get back with me I haven’t heard anything from dodge and I’ve called them myself self and their explanation was since it’s out of warranty there’s nothing they can do except for talking to the service manager. No help at all! Dodge told me to call the owners of Starr Motors. I’ve called and spoke to Clay White and he’s played the political game with me and offered no help not even a rental for the time my truck is down. The service writer told me it’s a bad time for my truck to break down since it’s the end of the month and the beginning of the month the following week. So inspections are more important than replacing my engine! The service manger offered a rebuilt engine from powertrainproducts.net for a price of 3699.99. I’ve told them to order it and get in so the repair can start. After ordering the engine the service writer called and told me they would add 25% to the price to order it. So 900$ just to order the engine and approx 20 hours labor to replace it. Ripping me off again! They have misdiagnosed my trucks issues for years which has now costed me an engine at the price of around $8400.00. This has left a bad taste in my mouth with Starr Motors and will never buy or have any service work done there again and I would advise others to stay away also. I hate to see what they do to people who have no idea about the mechanics of automobiles. I had planned to buy a Jeep JL from them later this year but now I won’t go anywhere near this dealership. I will be buying out of state and having any warranty work/ issues done at another dealership. Received 2 calls from Tina the service writer today May 3 to say the engines cakes/ gunked up inside and they need to clean the oil pan, valve covers and oil pickup at a extra cost of 3 hours labor (315$) and my total bill is now $8400. And some change!!!!!
To add insult to injury Joe called me today to say the truck is ready for pick up. The engines in they’ve taken it for a spin checked for leaks and all fasteners. He informed he talked to Clay White and was told to adjust the bill. I said okay and to email me a detailed bill to look over. I was charged an extra 1049.00 just to order an engine. This place in my opinion is a rip off and would never send anyone there of any thing!!!! They ended taking $525.00 off the bill and nothing off the cost of ordering the engine so a 20 minute cost me $1049.00. Stay away. I also talk to Clay White today and he told me since my truck had and aftermarket bumper and fishing rod holder I run the truck hard... What an assumption to make about some and the way they drive vehicles... I will never send any busy their way or do business there ever again.
Not CARMAX so they need to negotiate the price. - Stevew5565
Not willing to do much of negotiation. There is always room to negotiate on a used vehicle. However they did not seem to want to negotiate at all even when brought to the sales manager.
Happy customer - Freddy82
Always a pleasure to be serviced by this place, they are caring an very prpfessional! They, always ask if there is anything else i need.
Came in for a recall on my Jeep - Judym212
Best and fastest service I have received from this dealership. Steve who took care of me when I signed in was very professional and friendly. Made the visit more enjoyable
They are ok - Trade inn quick
Dealership is fine. Their 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee is crap. Never received recall notice. Have “phone needs service” forever and can’t get fixed which means my 911 doesn’t work
Deception with a Smile - Honest1
This is a very dishonest company. I purchased a used car there and it was a very big mistake. At the time of purchase, the staff was very friendly. I purchased a used car for my son. I asked the salesperson what would happen if the car didn’t pass the inspection in MD. He said that they were a family-oriented company and that they would address any problems. Of course, that didn’t happen. I purchased a used car that required over $1,500 of inspection-related repairs. This dishonest company turned its back on me. Please don’t by a car from a company that dishonors human decency.
