This review is for the Service Manager, Charles Kim. From the moment, the GM, Julian asked Charles to personally oversee my new q6 eTron Prestige electrical and SW issues from delivery, I was in good hands. Charles is someone who is very diligent and when he says he will do something- he actually does. In this day and age- usually in the auto industry, sadly this is not a regular occurrence. My q6 eTron was in service for over 3.5 weeks and Audi Tier 2 Technical Support was out of ideas on how to solve my electrical and SW gremlins. I was asked to pick up the vehicle since Audi was aware of the issues and that I was not the only one having these connection issues with MMI user profile, myAudi app, Plug N Charge, Digital Key. Charles made sure I had a brand new 2025 Audi q5 as a loaner while my car was in service. And Charles went to bat for me asking Audi to provide some form of compensation since my car didn’t work from the get go. (Audi of America CS is a separate issue since they denied his request). Charles also went out of his way to follow up with me afterwards and took care of me afterwards. I appreciate his integrity and diligence. He’s also a friendly guy. If you need your Audi serviced and you are near West Covina, take your Audi to WC. Charles and his team will take care of you.

So, a retired U.S. Marine goes to buy an Audi RS model -- Audi Mission Viejo stocked the ONLY RS Q8 that I was in the market to purchase in the state of California. I’ve read many reviews, before and after my purchase, and this is my honest and unadulterated review of my purchase experience. There were no Audi special finance rates or incentives on this unit and interest rates otherwise are extremely high in the marketplace among all automobile manufacturers of specialty vehicles. I initially contacted the dealership with an inquiry of the unit being in stock because the website MSRP sticker stated “SOLD.” It was in stock, verified by Chris So. Chris’ customer service was above excellent – no pressure and amiable to deal with. Chris met my request for verification of sticker and video of exterior and interior of the unit. One might think that these are customary, they are actually a necessity before a decision to visit a dealership. I set my appointment for a couple of days later, on a Sunday morning. Chris had thoroughly communicated with me in several telephone conversations; and that I would later deal with another salesman after his initial overview with me of the unit. Tim Fitzsimmons would actually walk me through the vehicle features and a thorough test drive. Tim was also amiable to deal with during the negotiation process – no pressure. The negotiation process also involved the trade of my 2022 Porsche Cayenne (base unit) purchased during COVID timeframe (that’s interesting long story because of limited supply and availability). Tim was very knowledgeable on the features of the unit and did an excellent job post sale of further features and the initial set up of the myAudi app and the MMI. Between my negotiations with Tim and the salesman manager, Uttam Oli, we came to an amenable RS Q8 selling price and trade in figures. Uttam was instrumental in finalizing the deal. Chris, Tim and Uttam were very professional. I did come prepared with my own financing, as everyone should do (with multiple financing sources). The back office, you know it well, the Finance and Insurance office (F&I); Anthony Holguin, the finance manager was very informative while accommodating my various scenarios to finalize my options. And I must mention Farhad Yousofzai (Mo), a finance manager with whom I finished with my own financing a few days later. Mo was very constant with what seemed to be an uncharacterized delay in my credit union’s authorization process via phone. Taken together, I couldn’t find my desired Audi RS Q8 specifications in the Inland Empire where I live and traveled the considerable distance just to “take a look” in Mission Viejo. It was well worth the time, miles and tolls required to purchase exactly what I wanted and nothing less. I would recommend anyone interested in an Audi purchase to shop around for competitive pricing BUT GIVE SERIOUS CONSIDERATION to the Mission Viejo Audi dealership. I did and now part of the Audi Family!

Yesterday, I brought my 2023 Q5 to Audi Pacific Service - Calbear92

Yesterday, I brought my 2023 Q5 to Audi Pacific Service since the power telescopic tilt button on the Q5 was not in its proper position- slightly depressed in and angled down so one could not lower the steering wheel. I only chose to go to Pacific since it was the closest dealer in the rain and they said getting a loaner “hasn’t been a problem.” [Background, car was at Audi Long Beach the day before for oil change, but I forgot about the steering column button issue]. Upon arrival to Pacific in Torrance, I was greeted and met Service Advisor, Jonathan. He seemed nice enough. Once I told him of the main issue- he went to physically inspect it and got the shop foreman to look at it to see if it was something easy to fix. [and another on-going MMI and Bluetooth issue that’s known across most Audi platforms.] He came back and said that it looks like “outside influence” and that’s not under warranty. It would cost $310. “If it was something easy to unbolt a screw, I would just do it for you, but you have to drop the entire steering column.” I declined. He also said that if your car was just at another dealer- you should go back to the selling dealer (not possible since in San Diego) or the most recent service dealer since you have a relationship with them on THIS car. This button is on the lower left side of the steering column and slightly recessed. One of the clips on the inside was not holding it in proper position, but the inuendo that “we” broke this is absurd. There’s no physical damage. This is the 1st time (and likely last) that this car has been brought to them- I had a terrible experience with a previous service writer several years ago on my eTron SUV where I asked for my keys back and would not return while he was still working there. I will appreciate Jonathan's frankness. He said that I should take the Q5 back to Long Beach or BH since I have had the car serviced there before and since I have an established relationship with them on THAT car- they had more leeway to offer “goodwill” and cover that issue. I was shocked that when he told me that the button was now inside the steering column since the foreman pushed it in while trying to assess. When I actually got into the vehicle- there was now an open hole in the lower steering column and a loose button. Since this was caused by the foreman and it was returned this way- this is not returning the vehicle in the same condition as it was brought it. Not taking responsibility since I declined their $310 charge. Not acceptable. What’s more outrageous- I took Jonathan’s advice and went back to my regular service advisor at Long Beach today. (Charles is awesome!). He not only greeted me when I pulled up- he already saw my note- personally took the vehicle straight into the service. In 15 minutes, the car was ready. Not even paperwork needed since it was a single Torx screw to remove the lower steering column plastic panel and put the power control button back into proper place. I even got a snack in their new comfortable, location. Moral: stick with Audi Long Beach for your Audi service needs.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Audi of - Fit Life

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Audi of Van Nuys, particularly with the salesperson Denham. I leased a 2024 Audi Q8 E-Tron on February 1, 2025. From delivery, the vehicle had unresolved issues, including Apple CarPlay that has never worked. During the sales process, Denham disclosed that the vehicle had been returned by a prior customer but minimized it as the customer simply “changing their mind.” Concerns about CarPlay not functioning were also downplayed, and I was told the issue was likely phone-related and would resolve on its own. Despite replacing my phone, the issue has never been fixed. Since purchase, the vehicle has been non-drivable on four separate occasions due to charging failures, later confirmed to be software-related issues with the vehicle, not charging stations. The car is currently in service (at Audi Downtown LA) and has been there for over three weeks with no permanent resolution. Once these issues began, communication from both Denham and the dealership became extremely poor. Calls and messages go unanswered, and promised follow-ups do not happen. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable for a luxury brand and dealership. I would caution anyone considering purchasing or leasing from Audi of Van Nuys to proceed carefully.
