Top-Notch, from start to finish! - Beetle fan
I was helped by LeeAnn and couldn't have asked for a better person to make a stressful situation better in every way. Her friendly, no-pressure demeanor and knowledge of the Beetle I ended up buying were second to none. By the time we finished the test drive, I knew she was a person of integrity and I was completely at ease with her at the helm. She showed and informed me of all the things this dealership does in preparing their Certified Pre-Owned vehicles for sale. It was impressive. She provided me with the CarFax and then we got down to business. I was actually planning on going to see a few Kia Souls after I had test driven "Bugsy" but after naming her in my head during the test drive, those other cars didn't stand a chance. Now, I hadn't purchased a car since 2004 so I was shocked at the technology available and LeeAnn had no problem walking me through everything and even setting up my phone so I can talk hands-free.
Everything she presented to me was completely transparent and when she took my offer to Scott for approval, he did me right and then some! He was genuinely eager to make sure I didn't feel pressured in any way and suggested I drive it again if I so desired.
By then I had made up my mind so off to financing I went, where Matthew gave me clear, easy to understand numbers and provided options and add-ons without any pressure whatsoever, which was such a pleasant surprise.
So, Murrieta of Volkswagen aims to please and they did, in every way! I've seen my share of car dealerships over my 65 years between me and the kids and know I will never find a dealership as well run, with happy employees who are genuinely interested in meeting your needs, not to mention their sparkling clean showroom and offices.
Buying a car usually ranks right up there with going to the Dentist. Not so here! It truly was a pleasure, from start to finish and I drove off into the sunset in my little bug and haven't stopped smiling since!

Great experience at Walnut Creek VW. A very efficient and painless process. Shannon Sousa was accommodating and knowledgeable. My car was serviced in a timely fashion, it was available for pick up just after lunch.
Painless. - 2018 geeze-R
During my first 18 months of ownership, I've made three visits to Capo VW service, two of which were unscheduled due to separate problems with the radio head unit, which was ultimately replaced under warranty - and here's the important part - I just realized that at no time did I find myself becoming impatient or irritated with the process or any of the dealership personnel. Everything always went smoothly. My car was placed on the shop schedule quickly, parts when needed were reasonably available, and completion times met or exceeded my expectations. When comparing my service experience here to what I previously endured at the hands of a local Mercedes dealership, I've died and gone to heaven.

Easy Car Leasing Experience - AF
Leased a car through Bobby. We figured out all the pricing over text before I even arrived to the dealership so all we had to do was test drive and paperwork. There were no surprises, they were quick and easy and pain free. Would recommend using Bobby as he was honest and laid back, I felt comfortable leasing through him and it was nice to not feel taken advantage of
Happy customer - Hart2

Service you can trust - jazhiel
I highly recommend Southbay VW, specifically the service adviser Ricardo Sanchez. One thing that's hard to find in a service shop or dealership is honesty, but with Ricardo honesty is his policy and he's build a reputation for integrity.
I've been coming here for oil changes, repairs, and auto body repairs. Ricardo has been very attentive and does everything he can to help me out. I really appreciate that he makes sure to call or text me with the progress on my car. I will definitely bring my vehicle back to Ricardo at Southbay Volkswagen as long as he keeps working there. No question about that. Ricardo is extremely professional and knowledgeable.
My Dream Car with Red Carper Treatment - CaliGirl93
I received the best service ever at a car dealership. Rami Zeid took wonderful care of me. I was not in the most positive mode having less than perfect credit, mechanical issues on my trade-in, and upsidedown in the note. He jumped through hoops, and with his solid long time relationships and expertise he was able to get me approved on the terms I wanted on my dream car, a fire engine red Volkswagen Jetta. He gave me a great of advice, truthful information about the car industry, and treated me with the utmost respect. I left there feeling like part of their family. He even followed through on setting up my first service appointment. Over all the presentation of their dealership was not crowded or hectic like most. I felt the highest amount of quality and true class. I highly recommended this dealership and my sales representative.
You can’t find a better, smarter or nicer team - Notamorningperson99
Norman is terrific. Knows his cars but more important, a very good listener. He heard my issue and with Abe and other team members worked through the problem until there was a resolution. Super service and friendly, almost makes you want to have an issue so you can go in and hang with the team.
Great Experience - Marissa
Great experience at this dealership, especially with the assistance from James Jamous. He was a huge help during the process in getting my new VW. Eric the GSM also made sure I got the best deal and was extremely kind and helpful. I recommend going to this dealership and talking with James and Eric!
Great service, as always! - cally45455
I highly recommend VW South Coast. I've had extremely positive experiences with purchasing two brand new vehicles from Olias Lynch ( great customer service at a fair price ) and in the service department great support by Steve Nickerson. I been a very satisfied customer since 2014. Best dealer I've found in Orange and Riverside County area for all your VW needs.
I reason I am finally giving them the long overdue 5 star shout out.
My 2014 Touareg TDI had the engine warning light come on when I was in Riverside Co. I decided to stop by the closest dealership, Cardinale VW Corona to get the fault code read. They read the code P0101 as needed a new MassAirFlow Sensor. They just assumed fault code was correct and diagnosed me as needing a $564. part which I knew I didn't need. I declined their services and drove to my go-to Service Advisor Steve Nickerson at VW South Coast. Glad I did because fault was being caused by a loose hose. NO new parts needed. That is why I will only go to VW South Coast. 5 star rating for truth in customer service and for skilled technicians. Thank you! You have a customer for life!
And- I am filing complaints against the lying Corona dealership.

Painless car buying experience. - semperfi1775
Upon arriving at the dealership I was greeted promptly with friendly smiles. Within 5 minutes I was test driving the car I had inquired about online. During the test drive Rafael was explaining the various features included with the car. He never rushed me to finish my test drive and allowed me to perform various brake and acceleration checks however I saw fit. Needless to say I ended up buying the car and the whole experience took only 2 hours. A lot of the staff here, when they found I was military, went out of their way to come and shake my hand and give praise for the job I do. Coachella Valley Volkswagen is a professional, efficient, comfortable and welcoming environment that I would recommend to anyone in the market for a Volkswagen.
Deceptive Business - Jlondon
They will abuse your trust and over charge you do not go there. They are very unprofessional. I drove off the lot with a missing hub cab that I paid for and no one told me.
Charging for warranty work 😡 - cally45455
On April 22, 2019, my 2014 VW Touareg TDI stopped running in Norco, California. The closest VW dealership was Cardinaleway VW in Corona, so AAA towed our car to that location. Up to this point, our go-to VW dealership was VW South Coast in Santa Ana. but I thought this would be a good opportunity to try Cardinaleway VW. .
Cardinaleway VW Corona determined our Touareg had a catastrophic High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) failure. When the HPFP fails, it sends fragments of metal through the entire fuel system, necessitating replacement of every fuel component, with exception of the gas tank. It is an extensive and intensive repair. Needless to say, replacing the entire fuel system means the service technician is touching / leaning across / brushing against most parts under the hood as he replaces every fuel system part. Cardinaleway Service department had the car from April 22, 2019 to May 16, 2019. All HPFP repairs were covered under warranty. We picked up the vehicle on May 16, 2019 at Noon. On the way home from the dealer, the engine light came on. This was 5 miles after leaving the dealership. I called Cardinaleway VW Service Manager. She and I agreed I should bring the vehicle in the next morning, May 17, 2019.
On May 17, I returned to the Cardinaleway VW Corona and was again helped by Service Manager. After waiting for 2 hours, she reported the vehicle was running a P0101 fault code which means there was a problem with the Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF). Stated we needed a MAF Sensor and was $562.14 out of pocket because the MAF was not covered under extended warranty. I asked if the error code might be something related to the HPFP workmanship since the service department had to disassembled and reassembled the whole fuel system. She said, “ No, you need and new MAF, it costs $562.14 and it is NOT covered under warranty.”
. None of this seemed correct. I decided I needed a second opinion. My gut feeling was the car was running an error due to faulty assembly from the lengthy HPFP repair and it was not a $562.14 MAF repair.
I immediately took it to VW South Coast Service Department in Santa Ana where they took their time to read the P0101 fault code. And they actually popped the hood to look for the problem,
South Coast service technician discovered the breather hose to the MAF was not attached! VW SC attached the breather hose and fault code cleared. Service Technician said the breather hose was removed during HPFP repairs. He also said if I needed a new MAF (which I did NOT) it would have been covered under VW extended warranty.
After visiting, VW South Coast, I found out:
1. My MAF was not broken, instead Cardinaleway service technician did not reattach the breather hose when reassembling the fuel system.
2. VW CardinaleWay said I needed to pay $562.14 out of pocket for a part covered under extended warranty. Makes me wonder. Why did they insist it was broken? Why did they insist I pay out of pocket?
I am now working with VWA on an ethics complaint.
Nothing but positive except for the 1 fly in the ointment - Walker
I was a return customer looking to buy one of the last Beetle's made. I already own a 2016. I met Lavel Darty last year when I came in for an oil change. I asked him to find me a 2019 Beetle that was just like my current one. He tried hunting one down for me with no luck. About June he texted wanting to know if I still wanted one, and if so, he'd keep searching. I gave up since the year was half over. Two months later I am at the dealership and there was my car. Jim Willhide i said he'd let him know I was looking for him. Lavel came in, we test drove the car and I agreed to buy it. It was the easiest car purchase I ever made. I wish I could say the entire experience was great but the fly in the ointment was Manager Shant Bashian. I wanted an explanation as to the change in the agreed upon price of the car and his patronizing ego was down right condescending and arrogant. He strutted in to explain that a mistake was made on paper with the price of the car and "He" had to fix it, which resulted in a larger purchase price. I did not get his logic and his high and mighty attitude was very off putting. When I was taken into financing with Michelle who is very nice and quite good at filling in for others, she showed me the price which was not my agreed to price. She went for help. In comes Mr. Personality himself, Mr Bashian. As he enters he says outloud, "I've already explained this to you, do I need to explain it again?" I believe he actually heard himself and realized how unprofessional and demeaning his comment was. I was appalled at his cavalier, pretentious exclamation and he saw it on my face. He quickly changed his tune and said, 'It would be my pleasure to explain this to you 'AGAIN'."
Let me say that I love my new car, I love the professionalism and can do attitudes of Jim Willhide, Lavel Darty and Michelle. I'm thankful that I got the last car I ever hope to own, because I will not have to do business with Mr. Bashian again. I am not going to let a Little fly ruin my past and future experience with Ontario VW. My past 3 1/2 years of doing business with Jim and Lavel has been great and will continue I'm sure as long as I have a fly swatter.

CPO Atlas - 90 days & had brake issues - JUNORODZ
SERVICE WAS EXCEPTIONAL! After only having our certified pre-owned Atlas for just about 90 days we had an issue with the rotors and brake pads. Dealer went above and beyond to right this wrong and helped out with the cost of the repairs. THANK YOU, Car Pros of San Bernardino!!!
Great staff experience - The Busari’s
Our experience at Winn was outstanding. We were approached right away by Damien when we walked in the door who was patient and informative. The manager provided a good lease price and Ray was efficient with the financing. Overall we are happy customers!!!
OLD School Sales Manager Tricks from the 1970s - outoftownbuyer1
Remember when car dealers used to pull the good cop/bad cop routine? Well they still do at this dealership only I had it between two sales managers. The one on duty refused to honor the price I had offered to me from the guy who was on duty the day prior. He accused me of making up the price I was offered even though I had a voicemail from him with the price in it. SHADY.
GTI purchase - 1bixby1
I had great experience working with Danny on my GTI lease. He provided all the senders to my questions and was a pleasure to work with. Even after the fact, he checked in to make sure I was enjoying my car. Great service, great people, highly recommended.
NIGHTMARE PLEASE DONT COME HERE - Tonimarie
I purchased a car from here about 6 months ago a 2016 Ford Fiesta only 55k miles I felt really good for a used car within first 6 months I’ve had to get over 4 repairs and two toes due to car not being drivable and spent over 2000$ dollars I’ve reached out to manager nick Hassan multiple times been transferred to two other dealerships and still no solutions I’ve came in here literally in years so stressed had to not pay rent for a month just to get my car fixed and I purchased the extended warranty for over another 1k which basically didn’t cover anything that needed to be repaired I just feel so ripped off and this isn’t how it should be when you purchase a car and I’m financed so all these problems and I’m still paying over 300$ every month and I’m not the only one I posted a review on yelp and instantly got messages from over 5 people wanting to protest against this dealership it has to be something we can do but please don’t be like me please DONT purchase from this dealership!! I assumed since it was a big known dealership they would have a lot to lose having such a big name but no
Mechanical problem with Routen 2012 - Engine Light on - Saranasee
Original service agent would look at it only the next day, had to call the manager to get him to look at the issue the same day. He called back and said the issue is with the Engine valve damage for no apparent reason. The Vehicle has been maintained by Dealer since day one and done only 57,000km.
Had a bill of about $1,500 with only $18 discount. Left message for the manager to call back which he did not. Would not recommend VW vehicle to anyone and will change to good ole American brand asap.
Painless process and excellent customer service! - CharlzR
This was the easiest and quickest car buying experience ever! From Tony, the sales manager, down, it was excellent and painless! Got the car we wanted for a killer deal!!! Athena made the initial contact very pleasant. Josh the salesman was thorough and attentive and made sure everything was perfect. Dave in finance was 5 stars! Thank you VW of Oakland!
Dishonest... - pmw-ps
I went to in to see a used minivan they had listed on autotrader. After spending the day looking at vehicles, I called back to Alex to go back and look at the minivan again. He told he the manager raised the price $3600 to $16,585. After cooling off, I started my search again to find the minivan still advertised on the internet at $13,995! If they are this dishonest when buying a vehicle - I have to assume it flows through the entire dealership.
Battery issues - MRZUNOV
Even though I had to leave my car over night because it was late by the time I came in. They took my car in and provided transportation back to my home. The very next day my car was ready by 9:00am. Excellent service!
Staff was great, but car itself had problems. - PATENGINE101
The staff was great but the car had several issues I discovered after signing all the paperwork. I know you buy a used car in 'as is' condition, but I have purchased many used cars and never had this happen. I guess I took it on good faith that a dealership would fix broken things and fix egregious cosmetic issues before selling it. I never felt the need to inspect every single thing in a car before, but I guess that's on me. Again, I just had the expectation that a dealership wouldnt sell a used car in that condition for top price.
