Mr. Geary is absolutely excellent, his smile, his customer service, and he is trustworthy (you can feel it). I found a car I liked online and contacted them via their website. I got a response within 10 mins of the dealership opening that monday. I was an out of state buyer who had never financed a car by myself. I was unsure of the process and was nervous about driving so far for a car I knew nothing about. They pulled all the service records and told me everything about the car. Then the sales man I worked with David Johnson called me and was very willing to answer all my questions. I recieved all the paperwork I needed to see before I planed my trip. He had me approved on a loan within 30 mins. The day I had an appointment to go see the car he had it detailed and already ready for me. After I drove the car, he had all the paperwork prepared for me and it only took maybe another 20 mins to finalize everything. The sales staff are very polite, honest and professional. They were very fair on their pricing and didnt push anything extra on me. I was very pleased with the service I received and would highly recommend this dealership.

I was looking for a 2018 Colorado ZR2. I used my bank's car buying service and was pointed to a dealer in Frankfurt and Rod Hatfield here in Lexington. I had hear nothing but negative feedback on that dealer but since my bank gave me a fixed price I decided to give the lady who called me a change.
I showed up at Rod Hatfield and met the Lady and was immediately passed off to a standing salesman. Who them proceeded to minimize the lady and said he be right back he had to talk to his manager. He proceeded to go behind the glass and yuk it up with I assume his manager. I waited 5 to 10 minutes and walked out, blocked their phone calls and figured I was done with wanting a new truck.
I had a 2015 Silverado LTZ and was getting the service done at Sutherland . The interactions were great and they had gone above and beyond to fix a few things that really didn't need to be and do it parts cost.
I met with Denver and he was polite and respectful the whole time. He introduced me to the owner and aside from the finance guy Denver was the sole person I talked to. No, talking about payments, and the four square BS...just a straight deal, simple for both he and I.
Its amazing what a difference in attitude and culture can make in the car buying process. Everything you read about the Lexington dealer is likely correct...I would recommend Sutherland if you don't mind a few miles...

2016 Chevy Malibu engine problem - - angryCustomer
Well I bought a 2016 Malibu Chevrolet in around Dec 2016 I believe which is not even that old. I was told it was brand new and it turned out to be a loaner that they sold me as brand new and mind you I am paying the car note which is a lot. Anyone knows if you were to buy a brand new car and as soon as you drive off the lot, its no longer new according to the dealer. a couple of months ago while driving the car suddenly gave me an error message on the dashboard which reads "engine power reduced" and I almost got into an accident since the car suddenly reduced power on its own and I was unable to speed beyond 40 miles. The gas pedal just stopped working and engine light comes on. I had to pull over and turn off the car for it to work again. Then it happened again and again . Now I took the car to Bachman for service on the 11th and told them of the issue. They say they would look at it and it would take about 1 to 3 hrs as they were busy . Now 7 hours passed and they left me a voice mail at 5 pm that they couldn't get to it and they would fix it in the morning the next day. Now its after 10 AM and no one called me back and when I tried to get them they just told me to come pick the car as they would have to order a part and they don't know when it will come it..when it comes in for me to come back and drop the car. If a car is not driveable why the xxxx would I want and go pick a car to drive home that the engine stops on its own and cannot speed and for me to drive back again to them with the same condition. You can bet this issue will not die as I plan to take my grievance to GM or the Bachman family and look into this with the Attorney General to see if a lemon was sold to me and a car being advertised as new which was really a loaner..I now regret I ever walked into Bachman. I am praying that my wife's Sonic which she bought there does not start giving issues as well. And they better not charge me for whatever work they are doing cause I will be fuming .

We bought a new vehicle from Big M Cheverlot in Radkliff KY today. It was the best buying experience on anything we have bought before. We will definitely buy any new vehicles from this dealer in the future. The sales team, Louis, Tiffany, and Dennis, was awesome. They were friendly and informative. They weren't pushy. The customer service was off the charts. They worked hard to find us the best deal and financing. We went in with a pre-approval from another finance company. Louis stated he could get us a better deal. We were skeptical because we have heard that before. He was right, they got us a better deal. If you are in the market for a new vehicle you really should check them out. We drove 2 hours to check them out and it was well worth it.

Not so good - Prior to taking my vehicle in for service, I inquired about taking competitor coupons. I was told they did not but the rep asked if I was military. I told him no, but there are military in my household. He told me to have them come in with me and bring their ID - I would get the discount. Upon pickup up my vehicle at checkout, they were not honoring their word. First they told me nobody was at the dealership to process the discount, then they told me they were not going to honor their word because my name did not match the military ID. I explained what happened and they said they couldn't verify what I said - pretty much called me a liar (rude and insulting). I asked them to call the rep that told me I would get the discount. They said they didn't have a phone number for him. I suggested looking in their employee file - they found a phone number, called the rep, verified my story, then proceeded to tell me it was a misunderstanding (like I was a liar and it was my fault some how).
No apologies, no sorry for the inconvenience, no sorry to take up your time, nothing...just pay us the $1,000.00 for services and move on.
Well, move on is what I shall do - to another dealership.

I've had them perform diagnostic & repair work on two different vehicles on two different occasions. They diagnosed & fixed the problems each time and for a fair price. We had taken both vehicles to two other repair shops previously, repair work was done and the repair bills were paid but the issues came right back, I spoke with Tim Midgett & explained the problems & work that had already been done, he assured me they had a service tech that could find & fix the problem and they did, Great Work!!!
Also had a similar experience with my GMC 3500 dually, they diagnosed & fixed the problem & Mary was in constant communication with me throughout the process, again, Great Work!!! I'll continue to use them in the future & will also recommend them to others.
Overcharged and lied to about taxes - TN Chel
I live in TN and frequently buy vehicles out of state. In the past, other dealerships have always handed me the paperwork upon purchase to take care of my sales taxes, license plate and registration. I was told that this dealership just takes care of it all for us. When I questioned that, I was told thats how they do it. So....I was charged, $1712.52 state tax, $31 Title transfer, and $91.00 for license/registration. Total: $1834.52. Six weeks passed, didn't have registration yet, contacted dealer and was told it can take 8 weeks. A week later, I got an envelope...it was a check for $1675.93 and a note telling me to go to the DMV and take care of my title/registration/tax. It took 7 weeks for them to basically give me the money they already charged me - and not ALL of it either. After two trips to my county office (they couldn't find the paperwork) I got it done. Of course it costed more than the check the dealership sent me ...obviously, given that they charged me $1834 but cut a check to me for $1675?

I would like to be able to give a star lower than one for the service I received here this morning. If you want to waste money and time, this is the perfect spot for that. I called them two weeks ago to schedule an appointment for an oil change and maintenance, they told me the price was less than $30. After going to my appointment I received a bill for over $50 for an oil change and "maintenance". The maintenance report showed the car has no problems, although my car has been diagnosed at other companies with major problems (alternator going bad, two parts going bad under both front tires, front brakes need to be changed). Not to mention that the front light was not working during the time of the inspection, they did not even report the bad light on the maintenance report. When I brought this up to customer service manager today, he obviously did not care about my concerns simply stating "I'll take care of it". I am not sure how he was going to take care of it as he did nothing for while I was there today and did not provide me with any further instructions regarding the situation.

If anyone wants any additional information about this to support my claims feel free to email me, I have my report from this company today and I have reports when I had the tires changed around a year ago when they noticed the broken parts under both front tires. The parts were not changed, yet this failed to flag on the maintenance report today.

I bought an as is vehicle about 6 weeks ago and still do not have my tags yet, getting ready to be in touch with the attorney general and make a formal complaint as not one person will even tell me what the problem is and just pass me about. This dealer is not to be trusted. I would give them a half star but you cannot.
