Although I did not (as of yet) buy the car (Genesis G70) as I am still researching and looking at my options, I would still like to add that my customer service experience was excellent. Jordan came right up and didn't hesitate to help with any and all of my questions. The final deal that was offered was very reasonable but I am still doing some research before making the final purchase. All and all, great experience!

Took two weeks to get an appointment at 0830. Arrived at 0815. No place to park. Had to park in middle of lot with cars everywhere. Waited in side for help. When I did get waited on man checked my last name in his lap top and asked if I had been there before. This was my third visit and will be my last. Man said would be an hour and a half before car was even looked at. What good is making an appointment with these people?
Had a discouraging experience with Pohanka Hyundai... - Victoria
Had a discouraging experience with Pohanka Hyundai associated with the tags and title process. Dealership failed to file paperwork until 1 month after vehicle purchase. When they called to confirm that I wanted to transfer tags 1 month after purchase, I was alarmed by the delay and requested confirmation that the paperwork was submitted to the DC DMV. They were not willing to document the confirmation.
More than 3 months later, I called to get my second set of temporary tags (!!) and check on the status of my tags and title. At this point, one day prior to my tags expiring, the manger of tags and titles informed me that "DC DMV refused to process my tags" 2-3 weeks prior to my phone call. No one from the dealership informed me of this issue. The manager of tags and titles complained about DC DMV and informed me that 6 other customers' applications were returned from DC DMV - which was a red flag to me. Pohanka refused to give me a new temp tag, left me with expired tags, and informed me that I was on my own to get tags from DC DMV. In addition, they failed to return my phone calls which pushed the issue further, and when I asked to speak with the Controller to make him/her aware of the issue, it was never fulfilled.
I work for public schools and this was a huge disservice to me at the start of the school year. It required me to miss work during a critical time of the year. DC DMV was kind to sort through the paperwork and mis-filing by the dealership. My DMV visit took several hours - even after getting an agent because the situation from the dealership was left in a complicated incomplete state. Ultimately, it was discovered by DC DMV that the dealership made an error in payment for the tags, and DC DMV was waiting on a new check from the dealership - which would have been a very simple fix on the end of the dealership on behalf of their customer.
I processed the payment myself with DC DMV - inconvenienced and disheartened by the lack of customer service at Pohanka.
I will not recommend this dealership to friends or family.
Let me say first that I am a return customer who... - dhl
Let me say first that I am a return customer who purchased a car from Antwerpen Hyundai Clarksville in 2012. I visited Antwerpen Hyundai Clarksville on Saturday 9/11/2021 to test drive a 2021 Hyundai Sonata. I explained that I was looking to do a cash purchase and that my financing was already in place. I had done quite a bit of internet research on this dealership's website as well as making in person visits to the lot during the previous week and again on the day of the test drive. I was very careful in documenting the VIN numbers and the costs displayed on the stickers as well as on the web site information and costs for several vehicles. I asked specifically why then sticker price online was higher than the advertised "Jack Says YES" prices on their website. I was told that the "Jack says YES" prices would have to include all of the dealer incentives for being a first responder, first time college student and active military personnel discounts. I asked how someone could possibly be all three of those things at the same time but was only met with blank stares and stammers and was never given a straight answer.
My wife and I test drove a used 2021 Sonata demo car with several hundred miles on it. The car was filthy on the interior, there was some type of crud on the steering wheel and the interior of the windows were so covered with dirt and film, that I believed someone must be smoking in it. The car also had at least one very noticeable paint chip in the hood. The salesperson apologized for the condition of the vehicle and advised that his manager had been using the car for personal use and as a test demo.
We completed the test drive and came back to talk about the price. To our surprise the salesperson ran the costs on the used demo that we had just driven. The total price was $31,974.24 included a $1295.00 option for aftermarket paint and fabric protection that we did not want nor did we request. When I asked why this option was added without our request , I was told "Oh yes, we just always add that to every sale we do here" I asked if he really expected me to buy this used/damaged demo as if it were a new vehicle. Once again I was met with blank stares and stammers and was told “yes”. I did not appreciate my experience on the showroom floor, so I thanked him for his time, took a picture of the sales sheet which included the vehicle cost and VIN number and left.
There is an option to purchase the car online through Antwerpen Clarksville Hyundai Website. Around midnight that same night, I decided to go online and see if I could purchase the vehicle myself. I observed that you are required to click the 'purchase online' button, in order to be able to see the full window sticker with the pricing and VIN numbers. I did that and carefully checked several vehicles. I wanted to be sure that I was not attempting to purchase the used/damaged demo that I had driven the day before. That vehicle had a VIN# that ended with 8101.
I began the purchase process for a different 2021 Sonata SEL with VIN number ending with 0759. I had physically viewed this vehicle in person on 09/11/2021 prior to the test drive. I specifically showed it to my wife and told her that this was this was the car I was interested in. I pointed out that it still had the shrink wrap and packing protection foam on the body panels, and that interior was still covered in plastic. I was given a final cost for this specific vehicle of $29,776. I checked the fine print to verify that this included dealer incentives, dealer fees, freight destination charges, DOC fees, tax, tag and title fees. I completed the transaction and received a notification that this price was valid through 09/18/2021. I decided to go to bed and to upload my photo ID, Proof of Insurance and Proof of Identity the next day. I also received text messages confirming the process.
The next day I received a call from the salesperson I spoke to on the previous day. I told him that working with him "left a very bad taste in my mouth" and that I was not interested in dealing with him any longer. He made the excuse that the manager set the price on the previous day and that he had no control over that. He went on to say that they saw I had begun the purchase of the second vehicle the previous night and asked if I could come to the dealership to complete the process @ 1:30 pm on 09/12/2021. I reluctantly agreed and my wife and I drove to the dealership.
I got there, sat down and immediately was told that the vehicle I had requested to purchase was the same vehicle that we had driven the day before. I said it absolutely was not. I explained that I knew exactly which VIN belonged to each vehicle, and that my purchase was for the Sonata with VIN# ending in 0759. Without checking or discussing with anyone else he immediately switched gears and said “well then there is a problem. That vehicle is not here. My manager took that car for personal use”. I replied “are you trying to tell me that that I saw this car yesterday, I put in a purchase agreement for it last night and somehow between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm the same manager who was driving the other demo, came into the dealership, didn’t check to see if there was a pending sale on the car, removed all the shipping protection from it and then immediately left the lot, essentially turning almost all of their 2021 new stock of new vehicles into used vehicles”. He said Yes. I got up and said I was leaving. He then said, my manager can knock $1000.00 off the price of the second car for a total price of price of $31,800.00, but only if I financed through them. I then spoke to the manager and said if I was not going to be given the price that I was presented for the online purchase I was leaving. He said “there is no way I’ll sell you the car for that price”, I became angry and the conversation degenerated to becoming vulgar so I left.
This was a disgusting experience! The blatant lies, bait and switch, attempts at high pressure financing demands and unwanted add on products/fees, would be laughable if it weren’t true.

Just the worst. Typical cocky car sales bologna. More interested in being cool in front of the pencil pusher finance guys than dealing with a returning customer and fixing the fact that they sold me a lemon 2 years prior. They wanted to charge me $80 for a clogged tube that was under warrenty. Don’t fall for the radio commercials. Go elsewhere. They don’t need or deserve your business

If I could give this dealership a zero star rating I would. They lie to get you in a vehicle and then after that when you have problems they never return your phone calls. They even sell vehicles that they have no titles too.

This was the best car buying experience ever. Before coming here I went to another dealership they wanted a lot of money and the car wouldn’t be ready until the next day. I decided to come to Nissan where Cedric was willing to help. He asked what I was looking for and about my payments. Cedric did his thing on the computer and told me walk with him outside.. he had a car that was perfect for me waiting for me to test drive. I loved the car and it was going to be ready soon as paperwork was done.. & not the next day! He made my experience quick and easy!

Zero stars if it was possible. We bought a new Venue on 10/03. Paid the same price as all the other new Venues listed. Promised tags would be mailed to our home without a trip needed to DMV. More than 3 hours waiting outside for the paperwork to be ready to sign......
On 10/20 we got an email from the title department telling us that we bought a rental car, not a new car and had to take it to DMV. How is that even possible? Emailed about it. Salesman says he had no idea the car was a rental. GM says it was disclosed. Purchase agreement is marked NEW.......not as a rental. GM, President and salesman completely silent after we sent our copy of the purchase agreement to them.
Apparently we are not the the first person this has happened to.....according to BBB. We asked for them to take this one back and replace it with a true new one, same specs. No response. No apology.
They sold a used car as new and now that they got caught they just ignore us. Pathetic excuse for a car dealership. Buyer beware!

We came to Team Hyundai from out of state. They had the exact Hyundai we wanted. So much paper work was done before we even got there. Jamie was our sales associate and she was wonderful. Explained everything in detail. Programmed our phones to the car. Moved to financing with Matt, He was knowledgeable and found us the BEST financing. Jim the manager is just the most pleasant person and always on hand for any questions. EVERYTHING went as smoothly as possible. There was NO pressure in any way from anyone at Team Hyundai. We never had such an enjoyable experience buying a car. We stayed overnight and they recommend a nice hotel and an excellent restaurant. How nice was that! Huge thank you to Jamie!! She's the best. We will return when Hyundai sends the Genesis SUV to them. THANK YOU!!
