I have purchased 5 vehicles over the years from Towson Hyundai. All of the experiences have been great. All of the purchases were with the same sales person: Stan Gabrovski. He is low pressure, easy going, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Buying a car can be a trying experience; Stan makes it enjoyable. I am planning on keeping my current car for a long time but when it rolls around for me to purchase another one, I'll seek out Stan.

Ripped off twice with the same car, then on another car! - Bluekate
First time I was ripped off was they added $3000 to the original sales contract after I had signed the original sales contract for them to pay off my Ford mustang which originally said it was but they added the $3000 later in which was the difference owed on the mustang. So when 3 months came along Ford called me to tell me I owed $3000 on the car I had traded in to Jones 3 months before in which I thought Jones paid off but then later found that they changed my sales contract. I had to go back to Jones and have that $3000 added to my auto loan so I ended up being upside down on my new Hyundai Accent, took them to court and lost, shame on them.
Second time ripped off was years later with that same Hyundai Accent, I had a major transmission failure while driving so I had the car towed to Jones and they said that the car would be fixed under warranty and then a week later thinking the car was being fixed they called to tell me that the transmission was never serviced correctly when indeed I serviced it there even had proof that I did and that I had voided my 10 year 100,000 miles warranty with Hyundai because nothing was never done, total BS. So I just then had the car towed to another much more reliable shop to have a new transmission installed in which should have been under warranty. So I was completely done with Jones Junction. So about a month ago I decided to get another car at Jones Kia since my mother in law and father in law had bought cars there so I felt like I would try again, but then later screwed my in laws on their Subaru.
Third time they ripped me off. This place rips you off on extra warranties that you don't need and laughs at you when your car could possibly catch fire. Doesn't matter what brand you buy from them they rip you off they have the past 10 years with me. Here's my most recent experience (a month ago)- I had a major horrible scare with my 2018 Kia Niro within the first few weeks of owning with a very strong gasoline and burning smells in the cabin of the car. First I thought that maybe I spilled gas on myself, but no, it was coming out of the vents each time I either ran the AC or heat didn't matter what setting you had it on it was bad. Along with the gas smell there was also a burnt wire/plastic smell which was so bad I was expecting to see smoke or flames coming out of the vents, it never did. Both smells made me completely nauseous and sick each time I had to drive the car I had to put the windows down to feel better. The Dealership actually laughed and said it was part of the break-in process I said no way and they made me feel uncomfortable that they laughed at the fact I could of died in a fire, I've owned enough brand new cars and these smells were not typical break in smells, they didn't find anything wrong with the car as I couldn't deal with the sicking odors anymore as it was only getting worse. I felt so uncomfortable in the car feeling this sick. There were other things among the smells just didn't seem well for a brand car it lacked power and had jerky/missing during acceleration. Good bye KIA brand. I ended up trading it in on a 2019 Buick Encore (From Boyle Buick) which has been a wonderful vehicle in the past month since my trade of the junky KIA. If Jones responds it's not sincere and they just tell you it will be taken care of and they never follow though. So Please do yourself a big favor and don't buy from them unless you want to be out $$$$.

Ms. Deibler, was our sales person when we bought a new 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. She was an amazing, professional, courteous amazing sales person to work with. I have bought several cars brand new and have never had such an enjoyable, painless experience as I had with Ms. Deibler purchasing this vehicle. We, my wife and I were waiting to be helped as othe sales reps passed us by, Ms. Diebler politely and kindly asked if she could help us and from that introduction took care of us every step of the way, through the car buying process, which can tend to be a tedious and daunting process. Ms. Deibler made the process very pleasaurable, not only pleasurable but pretty expediant. Most car sales I have experienced take about four hours, this took only two. Kudus to Ms. Deibler for her can do attitude and above and beyond unwavering comment to customer service. No doubt this is a 0 not a 1 star. DO NOT BUY FROM MASSEY HYUNDAI HAGERSTOWN (FRAUD?). I purchesed a 2014 Hyundai Elentra on June 3rd 2016. Paid $541.00 for a maintenance care plan for 10 oil changes 3 years 37,500 which would be 1 oil change every 3,750 miles. Took my car for oil change the next month (July 2016) and they charged me full price (still have the receipt). I just noticed this error after selling the car and being told by my new dealership about checking the car plan for possible refunds. I called the warrenty place and they say the dealership printed out the 10 coupons. The dealership says the warrenty place should have sent the coupons I didn't receive anything but 1 peice of paper from the dealership they day I pruchesed the car which describes very little to nothing. Looks like they are working together and pocketing the money giving the customer nothing in return. They had the chance to make this right after calling them 3 times ( just give me what I paid for oil changes) but chose to make the excuse the it's been 2 years and you sold the car. The management is so weak they would not speak with me and just relayed the messages through someone named Robby. Shame on you Massey, you did not honor the plan just 1 month after I purchased the car. Stealing from your customers is never a good thing. I will be posting this everywhere and anywhere I can. I drive over an hour to specifically go to this dealership for service as the Hyundai dealership closest to me provides poor service, but NOT Preston Hyundai their service department is the BEST! TY for the excellent service each and every time I come in!
Not as advertised, nor as discussed - disappointed
I was shopping online and called into inquire about a particular vehicle. First, they listed the price of the car with rebates that only residents of North or South Carolina would be eligible for? Rather odd for a Maryland dealership to do that. So that caused the price to go up $2000. After some time and some negotiations we came to an agreement. I was under the impression we had come to terms on price. When I called back later that same day to verify, before I made the drive out to the dealership, I asked for written confirmation of the agreement. What I got was disappointing: To start the price went up (granted only $200, but still) and then the agreed upon extended warranty that had been discussed was now no longer included. That would be an additional $1700. So now the price went up a total of almost $2000. Sure glad I asked for it in writing before I drove to Waldorf.
BE WARE. GET IT IN WRITING.

I would really like to thank Bob Bell Hyundai's service department. I've owned two Hyundai Accents. Every time I go in for an oil change, it's a wonderful experience. They are professional and very efficient. I was quoted a 1 hour wait time, and they were done in under an hour. I recently had an issue with my car and they got to it first thing in the morning. Everyone was very helpful in answering my questions. I also appreciate their shuttle service if you live within miles. Their service department and their sales department are excellent. I was never fond of going to a dealership for basic maintenance but it is totally worth it!

Pohanka Hyundai has been the most unprofessional, non-communicating deslership I have ever dealt with. Do not take your car there unless you want it returned in a worse condition than when it was taken in. My car was taken in after a recall, that caused my car to stall in the middle of the highway, which almost caused multiple accidents (because my steering and brakes both locked up). I was guaranteed no more than 2 weeks til I had my car back. they wanted me to PAY for a rental. They then had my car for over a month (would've been almost $1200 in rental fees). They constantly said "it'll be ready tomorrow" and then put it off for weeks. Then one lady said "You can come pick up your car but it doesnt run" WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY CAR DOESNT RUN??? it was brought so you guys could make it run because your terrible manufacturing caused it to stop running. They eventually fixed it after I reached out to a manger.
I ALMOST LOST MY JOB BECAUSE THEY HAD MY CAR AND WOULDN'T GIVE ME A RENTAL. I have a house, a 5 year old kid and bills to pay, this has taken SUCH a toll on my life.
Aside from all of that, I go to pick up my car (it's got a VERY expensive tiffany blue custom wrap on it) to find GREASY HANDPRINTS all over my hood, wiped down the side of my car and to top it all off an oil spill all down the front of it?!?
So now, I have EVERY manager, gm, director etc trying to keep me from reaching the General Manager, Tim Pohanka himself. Well I won't stop until I do just that. And I guarantee neither me, nor any of my family will ever shop with Pohanka.
Might I add, my family owns MANY auto/mechanic shops down the east cost, and they are all completely baffled by how unprofessional and STUPID the person who worked on my car must've been.
I encourage to not take your car to Pohanka Hyundai of Fredericksburg.
And let's not forget the guy in front of me who pick up his car that had a fresh paint job and found scratches ALL over it.
Yeah, No thanks to that. I will never rep Pohanka's name in a good way until something is done about this.
(And to think I almost accepted a job with them) 🤦???
