The service department is a total unorganized and unmitigated disaster to say the least. We had three vehicles serviced several times in 2021, and each was worse than the other. Recently, we scheduled an appointment for a 2020 Jeep Gladiator to have a clip replaced. We scheduled the appointment and we asked to confirm that they had all of the parts. I waited for confirmation and took the vehicle into the dealership. I waited hours before they brought the vehicle out and called me over to check out. At that point, they told me that they did not actually have the parts to make the repair. Unbelievable. They were going to order the parts and call me in to get it fixed ASAP. Well, we have heard nothing. Typical lack of follow-up.
Worse yet, they serviced my handicap modified Pacifica in late spring 2021 to fix defective steering linkage, after several prior service failures. I waited forever to get the vehicle back as they worked to replace parts and heard excuse after excuse for why it was taking so long. I picked the van up and drove it to and from Ohio only to learn a couple weeks ago, while in Ohio at a Goodyear service center getting new tires and an oil change, that there "were no cabin and air filters in the engine compartment and other engine parts and regulators were missing." To my surprise, Hendrick's "Team" took a bunch of stuff out to gain access for their repairs and never bothered to put it all back together when they returned the car to me. This is despicable. They have no quality control. Hendrick had to know that there were parts laying around the shop that belonged to someone's car. While it would have been embarrassing to call me and tell me "oops, we forgot to put all the parts back in your car," it was the only honest and safe thing to do.

Got a call asking me about my deposit money that I paid that they couldn’t come up with because some one was playing dirty with the money!! Was told they needed proof of the deposit I paid Wow!!! Was told I didn’t need new tags!!! Drove around two months with tags that not registered to the car. All I got was a sorry this happened to you. Can we say lawyer!!! Oh yea… it’s more but be cautious!!!!

This is not my first purchase here but this time it was not the truck that sold me, it was the outstanding salesman Braxton that sold me on the truck. What a fantastic guy. He made my entire transaction so smooth and easy. I had met him before when shopping. He was so outgoing and honest, I came back to him and I’m glai did. It was a pleasure meeting him. This company needs to recognize his talent and reward him if they don't want another company to scoop him up. I also want to share how fantastic the service department always is. Trey in finance said he was GIVING me a Mopar service deal and GIVING me a tire and wheel protection plan. I found later he charged me $1125 for the service plan and $800 for the tire plan. I specifically asked if I could get my truck serviced close to home. Trey said yes. The contract says I missed bring it to his dealership which is two hours from my home. Trey also said he was giving a Mopar service plan but it was some cheap Global administrators plan. All designed to pad Treys pocket no doubt.
I cannot understand why these people would want to steal a few dollars from me if they valued my return business.

Y'all don't take your car to this place. They have had my car now for a week and still haven't gotten it back and Everytime my husband calls up there they tell him the next day it'll be ready. It was a simple 2 hour job but has turned into a week. Yesterday we were told itll be ready today Friday and now we are told "probably" monday. Went to the Honda side of the dealership on Wednesday and purchased a used GMC pick up. When I got home I found that someone had drilled 4 two inch holes in the bed apparently for a hitch. No one at the dealership mentioned this. I went back to the dealership on Saturday and voiced my opinion and said that they should make it right. I was sent to the Ram side of the dealership and was told to talk to Lance. When I spoke to Lance I found that Piedmont actually does care about their customers. I left the dealership with a 2021 Ram 1500 Limited and was very pleased how Lance and the salesman (Mark) handled my problem. I will send multiple customers their way!

In December 2020 I purchased a full set of tires from South Strand. Contained within the purchase was an agreement for lifetime tire rotation if and when I brought the vehicle in for service. Earlier this week I took our van in for a 50000 mile service (which was well done and completed on schedule). Upon picking the van up I noticed that I was charged for tire rotation. I explained that I had purchased the tires there and that it was part of the deal. The service manager overheard this and came over to tell me that they don’t do that anymore. He never looked at the vehicles records so I don’t know if the free rotation was noted in their records or not. (Unfortunately, it’s not noted on mine). But, it’s not unusual to receive this service when you take your car back for service to the place you purchased the tires…..
So, I questioned him about how I can trust or rely on what is said or any promises made. His response was that he fired all the previous service techs because “they were all a bunch of worthless liars”….and then he just walked away….just walked away!
I filled out a detailed Chrysler Corp survey that was sent to me following the service. A part of the survey asked if I’d like to be contacted by the Dealership. I answered yes. The Service Manager called me the next morning. We repeated the same conversation. He said exactly the same things in exactly the same words as the previous day about the former service techs. I said to him that his attitude would force me to look elsewhere for vehicle service. His reply “I understand”…and that was it…
I don’t think he does. I am a lifelong Chrysler owner, including the two we own today. Chrysler has owned my service business for 40 years….but now I’ll look locally for a good service shop. I know there are several.
Then yesterday I received text from the dealership that asked if I’d like to take a survey about my service. I answered yes. The first question was “would you recommend us to others?”. I answered no. “Please tell us why”. Then when I started to type a reply I received the message that I was timed out. I tried again, same message. I tried again with a one sentence response, same message. Is this the way the dealership keeps their ratings up????
I am not a person that likes to post negative comments but I feel I gave them several chances to discuss and easily resolve this.
Just think about how different this situation would be if the response to my tire rotation would have been “ I’m sorry Mr Z we have no record of your lifetime tire rotation but we see that your vehicle is always here for the routine and schedule service so rotating your tires is not an issue as it’s a 10 minute job.”
So, beware of South Strand and their Service Manager! The customer service skills need some work.

Will not purchase a Car, Truck, SUV, Van, Moped, or Bicycle from here. We were lied to by staff regarding sales figures multiple times. This was not a pleasant experience, and will definitely not go back.
