Andrea Goodwin's customer service is first rate - mr ed
I arrived at Champion early for my appointment with data sheets on the 2017 Impala and one of the 2018 Malibu's which had the same options package as about 6 others on the lot. After Stacey (Champion's Internet contact person) introduced me to Andrea, Andrea picked up fobs for the Impala and the Malibu that I had data sheets for. We were going to drive the Malibu first so Andrea used the fob to locate the car, only none of the Malibu's were responding. So, she identified the VIN on one of the Malibu's that were gathered together on the lot and retrieved the fob for it. We did the test drive thing and that went OK. We drove the Impala after it got jumped to get it started. We were not as impressed by the Impala as we were with the Malibu. After we returned to the show room (nice Camaro's by the way), it occurred to Andrea that the first Malibu we tried to find might be headed for the detailing station. Since my wife and I indicated that we didn't really care for the accent striping on all the rest of the Malibu's, Andrea excused herself quickly and rushed back to the detailing station and found the Malibu there before its processing began. She intercepted it and brought it back out to the main lot where we noted that the striping had not yet been applied, and we were pleased about that. We felt the car simply looks more elegant without the stripe. We negotiated about the price and the trade and came to an agreement concerning the financial end of the transaction. My wife and I needed to visit our bank to obtain the necessary funds, so that gave Andrea and the rest of the Champion team the time to finish prepping the car for delivery. Upon my return, the car was totally ready (without the stripe), we took care of the finances, and Andrea gave us a crash course on the operation of the car - much of which went flying through my consciousness without stopping - but Andrea did give it a good go. All in all, my visit was handled professionally and also in a personable manner. I don't buy cars very often because I drive them until they get some age on them (my current run-about car is 16 years old), but I appreciated the manner in which Champion's staff treated my wife and I during the purchase of her replacement car. If Andrea is still there in two to three years, I will see her again for my car's replacement.

After a few days, he finally found one, not in greater Cincinnati but over 100 miles away and had it delivered to Hirlinger. Customer service and a staff to work with you to make your dream car a reality and later provide the expert service to keep it running properly. Spoke with a long time friend who works or my credit union and they don’t charge a fee for the loan liken the finance guy told us and direct loan will get me even a lower rate. So while I feel the dealership negotiatied fairly the hidden charges or not open honest charges I would suggest anyone go direct themselves and not through dealer

I bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in May of 2017. I live near Indianapolis and therefore usually have service at another dealer in Indianapolis. However, I was in Monticello on vacation and asked if I could get the recall addressed. The entire recall service only took about 15 minutes. The dealer in Indianapolis told me they would need my car for a half of a day and didn't have the parts. Come to find out the recall was only a software upgrade. I highly recommend Hendrickson Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge for their honest and professional service team.

I need to shout out to Scott Nale who really helped me. I got out in less than an hour. While I was there, their General Manager Ryan Barker even introduced himself. I didn't want to leave. They really valued me and made sure everything was more than okay.

My husband and I went to Summit City Chevy to check out a 2017 Malibu that we saw on cars.com. It was POURING down rain when we went. Shawn came out in the rain to greet us and took us inside. We got there around 9. By 9:15 we were out for a test drive. By 9:30 we were back inside discussing details. By 10 they were running credit, and at 10:30 we were signing paper work for our new car. DeFouw Chevrolet in Lafayette it's a great place to start your car shopping experience! I live in NW Indy area and at the beginning of the year I started my search for our next car, looking for an used Chevy Equinox. I bought it a month ago from Defouw Chevy. So, I'm writing this review not under the euphoria of a new car purchase, but after the things settle down and I used the car for the past month.
After a week of internet research I started to contact different dealerships. Even from this point the experience was great with DeFouw: they answered my questions and even they invited me to come and see their cars they didn't try to pressure or lure me in.
After we checked several dealerships in Indianapolis area, we decided to go and check some in Lafayette. We visited some and in the end we went to DeFouw Chevy. We really liked what we found here: great services provided in timely manner, the salespeople didn't try to sell their cars telling us untrue stories, but most important we liked the cars. Comparing them to what we found in other places these cars looked and feel great and they had competitive prices. The car we bought I also took it to a car shop in my hometown to be inspected, after I bought it, and they said the same thing: the car was in a great shape.
We visited the dealership two times until we agreed on a car, and we worked in our negotiations for the car with several sales agents and their manager and all of them did an awesome job. After I bought the car I talked with a friend of mine that lived in Lafayette area ten or fifteen years ago and he said he used to buy cars from them, too, because of their great services and quality of the cars. It seems over the years they managed to keep their high standards in a very competitive business. So, I think you won't go wrong if you'll start your car search with them!

After shopping over the internet for well over a month we decided to give Smith a try as they are relatively close.We never left.We had planned to check out two other dealers in the area,but the price was in the ballpark and the atmosphere was pretty laid back.Lisa was a charmer and knew the vehicle she was selling. The following interactions I'm providing for review contains my experience of a used car purchase from TeamChevy in Valparaiso, IN.
During the sale/testdrive, I alerted the Sales person, Rich, that there seemed to be some concerning items, such as the car sounded loud during idle, as well as it required being jump started twice. I placed my trust into Rich and his Mechanics, as they reiterated that the car was in great shape and was 'heavily inspected' prior to being available for sale. They explicitly told me the causes for the concerns were a broken sway bar and that a light had been left on in the car, both of which are relatively simple fixes. I purchased the vehicle with confidence due to the assurances of the staff.
Only 3 weeks after purchase, I got a check-up with a 3rd-party Mechanic, and they found that there will be about $1200 due in repairs. He had found the struts are broken upfront, and that there is a significant hole in the muffler, which means they sold me a car that will FAIL emmisions in Porter County (a County that requires emmisions testing). I also had to jump start the car multiple times, and had to replace the battery for $225, since it was under powering the vehicle (aka a bad battery).
Feeling betrayed, I called to speak to the Sales Manager, Billy, to see if they would honor any type of responsibility. Unfortunately, the final interaction with TeamChevy was very confusing, with Billy being unreasonably defensive. His stance of 'I wasn't there', 'I didn't hear it', 'It's not in writing', was insulting and childish, which ultimately made me feel like a liar.
+ Be warned that used cars from TeamChevy with 'high mileage' will not actually be fully inspected as their Sales Manager, Billy, had stated to me AFTER the sale.
+ Ask to record the Sales person, as when they lie to you, the Manager can't play the he-said-she-said game with you later. This sounds assinine, but it could save you $1200 3 weeks later like me.
+ I do not recommend spending the extra on their standard 'Dealer Warranty', as it is whatever they choose to cover. It's only Powertrain and Engine, and much more specific than that.
In conclusion, this whole experience has ended with me, the customer, being liable for TeamChevy's failures.

We purchased a 2015 Chevy Cruz (new) Blossom Chevrolet. Upon purchase, we had a warranty to help with any issues. We have had to take the vehicle five (5) different times to the dealer for repairs for leaking antifreeze. Each time, the dealer informs us that they have made the repairs, it lasts a few months and then we have to take the vehicle back for repairs. Each time they tell us something different about the repairs.
Now, we are having issues with the antifreeze leaking again! We called and spoke to the dealer regarding this and they stated that it is now out of warranty and any repairs would be on us. My complaint is two-fold: One, what is going on with this new car that is causing it to have a continuous antifreeze problem? Two, what kind of dealership has us return multiple times with the same issues and the problems is never resolved!

So I bought a 2017 Chevy truck at a price very close too what the dealer was originally asking; I was told there was. Dry little room for negotiation! This vehicle had 18k + not new but fairly clean. I negotiated that they detail the exterior of the truck with the deal as it had rust dots imbedded in the white paint! I was told it would be detailed the morning that I came to pick up my truck and pay 40k! Needless to say they did not follow through on their promise. I took the vehicle regardless as it was raining and I had driven an hour and 10 minutes after making a deal a previous day; they had given me their word so why would I question? I received an email from the salesman asking how I felt about my purchase. I stated the truck was treating me good so far; but I was a bit disappointed that he did not follow through with our agreement to detail the truck and remove the rust dots. A few days later he made it a point to call me and tell me he was very sorry and he would like to make it right and detail the truck for free at my convenience in schedule! I made him aware that I couldn’t get it in rt away as I don’t live close but I would set something up as soon as I could. I emailed the salesman to set up the exterior detail and asked about getting a price to detail the interior and get an oil change while I was there since I would be make no the trip! He called me back said oil change was 70$ and entire detail was free of charge; so we set a date when all work was to be done and I was told it would take approximately 4 hrs and a would wait in town. So I go through all of this driving/ waiting in town and receive a call that vehicle is ready for pickup. I return on foot to the dealer to get my truck and find they have maybe changed oil and ran the truck through car wash only! They swept interior did not attempt to detail or steam clean 1 thing inside, and the exterior was still polka dotted with rust specs in paint as it had been when I originally looked at buying the truck!!!! Very pusses off that they chose to waste my day, fuel, and lied to me about their intentions!!! The dealer would’ve been further ahead telling me no they would not detail the truck for free from the get go; unbelievably dissatisfied customer!!!!!!

The lady they stuck us with was not even remotely pleasant.
She was immediately dismissive of me when I told her my price range. I felt like she had no interest in working with me. When I asked to test drive a car that was slightly above my price range she refused me. When questioned about it she told me I wasnt going to buy it so there was no point. When I mentioned my husband she grilled me on why he wasnt here. I left feeling belittled and extremely unhappy. I am tremendously dissapointed in this dealership as I have had good luck with Chevrolet dealerships in the past. With so many other dealerships around I see no reason to return.
