My husband and I had a great experience purchasing a newer used car from Brooks LeFever at Hiday motors in Bluffton, Indiana. We are actually from Cincinnati but they had the car color and features we wanted at a fair price! We did our questions, information sharing, price agreement and credit application all online. Brooks was very helpful, knowledgable, straight forward and responded quickly. So when we decided to make the trip for the car, it was just a matter of a check over and test drive. I am going to buy all my cars by online search and email first from now on! There are a lot more options if you expand your area by a 100 miles or so vs. just taking what you can get at your up the street dealer. I love my Midnight Amethyst 2018 Buick Envision and enjoyed the 100 mile drive home to get used to it. Thanks Brooks and Hiday Motors!

I took my relative's car over to GM City on the advise of a cousin who bragged on the people over in Scottsburg. I'm sure glad I did. They sure do know what they are doing!
My cousin's car was making a new sound and she drove it everyday to work. She told me about it more than once, so I asked around at church. Everyone had a different idea. Finally, another cousin said drive over to see the service folks at GM City in Scottsburg. I's glad I did!
I need to shout out to Scott Nale who really helped me. I got out in less than an hour. While I was there, their General Manager Ryan Barker even introduced himself. I didn't want to leave. They really valued me and made sure everything was more than okay.

My husband and I went to Summit City Chevy to check out a 2017 Malibu that we saw on cars.com. It was POURING down rain when we went. Shawn came out in the rain to greet us and took us inside. We got there around 9. By 9:15 we were out for a test drive. By 9:30 we were back inside discussing details. By 10 they were running credit, and at 10:30 we were signing paper work for our new car. The entire process was so easy, quick, and painless. Shawn was great and very detail oriented and was great with communication. We would highly recommend Summit City and Shawn!

I brought my Service van in on a Saturday afternoon after it was broken into explaining I needed new door locks and passenger glasses I was given the impression that it would be done hopefully Monday I also wanted them to check the front brakes my steering wheel was shaking when I was breaking I told them I think the rotors are out of round only 30,000 miles on van My update on Monday was the glass was put in that’s it the door locks were all the way in Chicago that’s where I work it’s not very far this is a fleet maintenance program the service tech was off the next day Tuesday she had to call in to them for allok on repairs that means nothing got done on Tuesday Wednesday I get a call and and I was told the brakes were fine the tires we’re under inflated and wore out in the front this vin just had an oil change and they were checked they were fine the maintenance program was called and they okayed new tires thousand dollars I pick the van up Wednesday night at the last minute because that’s when they finished it I also had warning lights on now for my tires because they couldn’t reset because I have an aftermarket key fob. it also had a front endalignment it pulled to the right all the way home the next day I drove it to work The steering wheel now was shaking so bad I almost had to turn around and go home so I had to go slow as I could to get it to work I dropped the van off on the way home from work and they worked on it again they found out the new tires that I didn’t need were balanced Wrong all it needed was the rotors turned which is what they did like I told them when I brought it in they realigned the front in and this time reset the tire warning light on the dash The brand new tires or missing valve stem caps in the side door they worked on the panel on the door handle was laying on the floor inside the van The second time I picked it up it runs great now she said they have a Rookie techwork on it the first time the second time was done by an experienced tech

Buying an Used Chevy Equinox - Doru
DeFouw Chevrolet in Lafayette it's a great place to start your car shopping experience! I live in NW Indy area and at the beginning of the year I started my search for our next car, looking for an used Chevy Equinox. I bought it a month ago from Defouw Chevy. So, I'm writing this review not under the euphoria of a new car purchase, but after the things settle down and I used the car for the past month.
After a week of internet research I started to contact different dealerships. Even from this point the experience was great with DeFouw: they answered my questions and even they invited me to come and see their cars they didn't try to pressure or lure me in.
After we checked several dealerships in Indianapolis area, we decided to go and check some in Lafayette. We visited some and in the end we went to DeFouw Chevy. We really liked what we found here: great services provided in timely manner, the salespeople didn't try to sell their cars telling us untrue stories, but most important we liked the cars. Comparing them to what we found in other places these cars looked and feel great and they had competitive prices. The car we bought I also took it to a car shop in my hometown to be inspected, after I bought it, and they said the same thing: the car was in a great shape.
We visited the dealership two times until we agreed on a car, and we worked in our negotiations for the car with several sales agents and their manager and all of them did an awesome job. After I bought the car I talked with a friend of mine that lived in Lafayette area ten or fifteen years ago and he said he used to buy cars from them, too, because of their great services and quality of the cars. It seems over the years they managed to keep their high standards in a very competitive business. So, I think you won't go wrong if you'll start your car search with them!

The following interactions I'm providing for review contains my experience of a used car purchase from TeamChevy in Valparaiso, IN.
During the sale/testdrive, I alerted the Sales person, Rich, that there seemed to be some concerning items, such as the car sounded loud during idle, as well as it required being jump started twice. I placed my trust into Rich and his Mechanics, as they reiterated that the car was in great shape and was 'heavily inspected' prior to being available for sale. They explicitly told me the causes for the concerns were a broken sway bar and that a light had been left on in the car, both of which are relatively simple fixes. I purchased the vehicle with confidence due to the assurances of the staff.
Only 3 weeks after purchase, I got a check-up with a 3rd-party Mechanic, and they found that there will be about $1200 due in repairs. He had found the struts are broken upfront, and that there is a significant hole in the muffler, which means they sold me a car that will FAIL emmisions in Porter County (a County that requires emmisions testing). I also had to jump start the car multiple times, and had to replace the battery for $225, since it was under powering the vehicle (aka a bad battery).
Feeling betrayed, I called to speak to the Sales Manager, Billy, to see if they would honor any type of responsibility. Unfortunately, the final interaction with TeamChevy was very confusing, with Billy being unreasonably defensive. His stance of 'I wasn't there', 'I didn't hear it', 'It's not in writing', was insulting and childish, which ultimately made me feel like a liar.
+ Be warned that used cars from TeamChevy with 'high mileage' will not actually be fully inspected as their Sales Manager, Billy, had stated to me AFTER the sale.
+ Ask to record the Sales person, as when they lie to you, the Manager can't play the he-said-she-said game with you later. This sounds assinine, but it could save you $1200 3 weeks later like me.
+ I do not recommend spending the extra on their standard 'Dealer Warranty', as it is whatever they choose to cover. It's only Powertrain and Engine, and much more specific than that.
In conclusion, this whole experience has ended with me, the customer, being liable for TeamChevy's failures.
