I bought a new Prius in 2012. I've come here for nearly all my services. Not once have I had a bad experience or have been disappointed. A "triple A" rating to our salesman Al Hunter for his knowledge and patience with the sale. He helped us explore many options until we found the best that worked for us. Al referred us to others who have purchased the same car, so we "didn't have to take his word for it". And worked for the best price for us. Compared to purchases from other dealers this was a very pleasant...even great experience.
Making an appointment with service department is easy and done within a day. They accommodate needs by giving a loaner. They explain everything that was done and willing to answer questions. There were times when they could help me troubleshoot over the phone and I did not need to make the trip in. First class.

Speedy oil change! - DUB
Have a 2005 Suburban Z71 and needed an oil change! I had made an appointment and was there right on time! Another dealer told me it would take 1 hour to get the oil changed BUT from the time I pulled into Bob Brown's till I pulled out was only 41 minutes! I would say 20 minutes for the oil change 5 minutes for the wash and 10 to 12 to pay the bill and I was on my way! Good service is here at Bob Brown's in Ankeny! Keep up the good work guys!

Had been looking for a vehicle for quite some time, i got involved with another dealer who I had told I had the check for a vehicle and made an appointment to meet the sales rep and the day I was headed out the door, I got a simple e-mail from the General Manager that the car was sold overnight! Really, overnight.
Thats when my wife and i took a few minutes to rethink a new plan on what to do. We chose Browns's in Elkader because after many trips through their display of cars over the years, we knew they had high quality used vehicles!
I then looked up vehicles that met our needs and called Lori, who helped us connect with Wes our salesperson, sat with Wes and went through our story and he was more than willing to get us in a good car. The whole process with Lori, Wes and Kelsey was a treat after what we had gone through. Our feeling that dealing with local small town dealership with friendly customer oriented people sure makes life more enjoyable. Hats off to Browns's and their super staff. Would recommend them anybody!

Transmission broke after 10 miles - Renopreacher
I test drove 3 vehicles, the first one had a bad motor,(making a lot of noise and the check engine light came on). The second had a bad power steering pump. I bought the third unfortunately and ended up losing the transmission. They will not help or refund me any amount. I recommend you never buy a used car from here, they sell junk, and know it. They refuse to take any responsibility and hide behind there as is no warranty policy. Repairs are going to cost me more than the price of the car, and that's on top of my tow bill.

Found my truck leaking fluid the day after I had the oil changed and supposedly an inspection was done but for as much as it was leaking I feel like there is no way they inspected anything.

DANGER! Reported this dealership, Mike Molstead Motors, to Iowa State Credit Card Fraud Division this morning - gave our credit card number as downpayment on a truck. Received a phone call almost 20 hours later that our truck had been "accidentally" sold to someone else but not to worry, they had not run our credit card. Where did that information go if not into a credit card processing program?!? And where is our truck!!!

When my Honda needs service, all I have to do is call...and I am worked in almost immediately (or to fit my schedule); I am given an estimate of cost of service to be provided and time it will take; if needed they will pick up and return my car (or I can wait on site while the work is done). Upon completion, staff go over the bill which shows what actually was serviced and/or checked and then I am asked if I have any questions. Your service managers have certainly honed your system so it runs smoothly and delivers great service and information. I'll certainly keep coming back. (M. Travillian)
