My wife and I wound up leasing a 2021 Hyundai Tuscon from Freehold Hyundai. We were first time leasees and we were very happy that we chose to go with this dealership. We were greeted at the door by Kurt Sliski, who was our sales representative. He and the dealership let us test drive a few different of their crossovers/suv's and he took us through the different trim levels. We got down to brass tacks negotiating with Kurt and his manager, Rich and wound up with a deal that everyone was comfortable with. The whole team was great, including the guy who fixed us up with insurance as well as the leasing team.

On November 11th I took my Kona EV in for a battery software recall and tire rotation ($40). The car had been running well before I took it in, and it's running fine now, so I have no basis for judging the quality of the work performed. On the multi-point inspection sheet, however, all the green boxes (e.g. checked and OK) were checked, including the engine oil level, even though the electric motor has no engine oil. The windshield washer fluid level was also checked okay even though I added more than a quart when I got home. The exhaust system was checked OK although there's no exhaust pipe. All four tires were said to have 35 lbs. of pressure. Using an electronic tire pressure gauge, I checked them when I got home, and with the tires still warm, two had measure 32.5 psi and two had 32 psi. I then checked them with a mechanical gauge and got slightly lower numbers. The reason I was skeptical about the accuracy of the multi-point inspection was a result of a previous inspection of my wife's Santa Fe which said both her fog lights worked when one had been demolished in a collision with a deer weeks before we took the car in. So the bottom line is this: did the dealership perform the work it said it did? The answer - I hope so.

I am pleasantly surprised about my visit. I have stayed away from this place since its new ownership because of my terribly experience with the previous management so I was hesitant going on. I received an email from Steve and figured I would give it one try before I took my business somewhere else and he knocked it out of the park. Steve was wonderful and I did not feel stress working with him. He was patient and funny! Even the finance manager, Max, was awesome to work with. Actually gave me some good advice. I am beyond satisfied with my experience.

I can't say enough good things about Franklin Sussex Hyundai (and believe me, I've never uttered the previous words about a car dealership in the past). My wife was interested in a new 2020 Hyundai Palisade, and I contacted about 6 or 7 other dealerships within a 60 mile radius. Most dealers wanted 3000 dollars over the MSRP as a starting point since the Palisade is such a new, hot car. Not only was Chris and his GM able to come down to the price I wanted, they gave us a very good deal on our trade in car as well (which had 140 thousand miles on it). Since Franklin Sussex didn't have the Palisade SEL in stock that we ideally wanted, Chris contacted a multitude of other dealerships up and down the state, and was able to locate one 40 miles away that he personally drove back to Sussex so that we could close the deal asap. On top of all that, the finance woman in the dealership got us a rate that was even lower then the promotional APR rate that Hyundai was offering at the time.
All in all, it was a fantastic car buying experience, and my wife is happy as can be in her brand new 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Thanks to Chris, Erin, and the Hyundai Sussex GM-- a fantastic team that sticks to their word and truely puts the customer first!

I made an appointment online to have my car serviced today but when I got there the place was closed for their Christmas party. It would’ve been nice to receive a phone call, text message or email letting me know they were going to be closed around the time my appointment was made. I usually walk in because it’s better for me but I’m always told it’s better to have an appointment & look what happens. This was an inconvenience trying to make it here on time.

I test drove a Hyundai Kona January 12th. I own a Hyundai and wanted something higher with more clearance. I called in May and the person told me that the payment comes from another company. Seven months later, no payment. And they never took responsibility for their (what amounts to) false advertising. Very disappointed.

They make empty promises. They promised a car from another dealership, we put a deposit down and left happy...not as happy as we should have since I was given a price BY THEIR DEALERSHIP before we drove 40 minutes to the dealership and then were told that they couldn't do that because all of the rebates were stacked and nobody could ever get that price...so why email me saying it was an "exclusive offer" for me? Anyway, days came and went. Bottom line- we didn't get the car as promised, our deposit wasn't refunded until a week later after I contacted the manager, who was very helpful. During chat I asked for a managers email and was given A FAKE EMAIL that came back to me BECAUSE IT WAS NOT A REAL EMAIL ADDRESS! I emailed another manager about how unacceptable things were and about our negative experience and he never even wrote back. Terrible.

I use to go regularly for oil change for my car Hyundai Sonata Hybrid 2013 bought from Global auto mall. But this dealer is near from my apartment use to visit him on regular basis for service. Below are multiple instances after which I completely stop going there for service :
1. Brakes - router and pad need to change
I was called by technician when I was sitting in lounge waiting for my car to be done for oil change.
Tech explain me that brakes for all four tires need to be changed immediately and its very "RISKY" to drive without changing them ( they usually scare you on purpose and don t give you anytime to think or research). But thank god I said to myself lets get second opinion and I said I will come back. I went straight after oil change to two places have them brakes inspected and was told that brakes are completely fine no need to change for next 40,000 miles roughly. I saved myself $900 estimate given by dealer.
2. Every time I go for oil change they show one book which shows services recommended usually every 3000 to 6000 miles so regardless you use regular oil or synthetic you will be eligible for different service. So I was being charged for each semi synthetic oil change (65 dollars) plus this recommendation usually 200 to 550 dollars. I skip few time saying will do next time but they will approach you next time for two services saying you missed last time.
Finally I stop going there since this is HYUNDAI and actual car resale price is very less. I was putting more and more money into it. I had 45000 miles latest when I stop going to this dealer. Right now I have 95000 no problems and any additional expenses like this dealer use to charge.
I strongly suggest people to double check with different garage before doing any maintainance with this dealer.
