My daughter car ( 2020 Kona) is making ticking sound on the engine when i check the oil and pull the dipstick out it was smoking and no oil showing on the dipstick. I have to Add 2 and 1/2 quarts of oil.
I told the service advisor that car lost 2 and 1/2 quarts of oil.
Left the car Saturday and got the call from Percival Roque\Service Advisor Thursday pm said the car is done and there’s nothing wrong. I asked if there’s nothing with the car then why is the car losing oil?with no leak. He said the their test is saying that its ok and there’s nothing that he could do. I asked if i can talk to the service manager and he said no and again said that there’s nothing on that dealership can do anything for me. He also said that i can vent to anyone and still won’t do me anygood.
I already called HyundaiUSA and told them the issue and i was told that the Service person should have explain as to why the car is losing oil. The person in customer service was pleasant and opened a case on my behalf.
Do not intend to go back to that dealership ever!!!!!

My Sonata was towed to the dealer on Aug 23. The engine died while I was driving on the highway after exhibiting signs described in the Hyundai engine recall website. Next day Mike told me it would take a while before they can even look at my car. A week later, I was told there is a back log of cars ahead of mine but they will get to it ASAP. Their waiting list for loaners is 1 to 2 months backed up. Today, Sept 1, 2021, I have no idea if they even looked at my car. I emailed Ernie Dix at firstname.lastname@example.org, no reply. Horrible experience. Because of COVID and the car inventory shortage I decided to buy my car at the end of its lease. My residual value cost was low as well as low mileage due to working from home. This is my 3rd car from the dealership and the salesperson told me I had to pay an additional lease end buyout of $1,699 to purchase the car. I then asked to speak with a manager. Salesperson came back to me and told me he was too busy to talk to me. Wow what great customer service. I told salesperson I would wait. Waited and then manager finally came to talk to me. Still would not negotiate the acquisition fee. Walked out and will never go back.

When I told him, he pointed at the computer screen and asked if yhe car on the screen wad the one. I informed him how much the car cost and yhe mileage. He seemed to be angry. I get free tire rotation & oil change with my car. I only came to this dealership because my regular place was booked solid for 2 months. I’ve never had an issue with my car until it was serviced here.
I don’t know if they didn’t change the oil at all or drained and never replaced it, but my oil warning light came on and after checking the level, it was bone dry. I had to go to the local auto parts store to add 4 quarts. No leaks....
Fast forward a month later and I have a flat tire... beyond flat. One tire was so worn, wire from the tire wires were showing. I could have been killed.
This dealership has always had a shady reputation. I hoped because of the remodel and move things would be different.

I test drove a Hyundai Kona January 12th. I own a Hyundai and wanted something higher with more clearance. I called in May and the person told me that the payment comes from another company. Seven months later, no payment. And they never took responsibility for their (what amounts to) false advertising. Very disappointed.

It would’ve been nice to receive a phone call, text message or email letting me know they were going to be closed around the time my appointment was made. I usually walk in because it’s better for me but I’m always told it’s better to have an appointment & look what happens. This was an inconvenience trying to make it here on time.
