I can't say enough good things about Franklin Sussex Hyundai (and believe me, I've never uttered the previous words about a car dealership in the past). My wife was interested in a new 2020 Hyundai Palisade, and I contacted about 6 or 7 other dealerships within a 60 mile radius. Most dealers wanted 3000 dollars over the MSRP as a starting point since the Palisade is such a new, hot car. Not only was Chris and his GM able to come down to the price I wanted, they gave us a very good deal on our trade in car as well (which had 140 thousand miles on it). Since Franklin Sussex didn't have the Palisade SEL in stock that we ideally wanted, Chris contacted a multitude of other dealerships up and down the state, and was able to locate one 40 miles away that he personally drove back to Sussex so that we could close the deal asap. On top of all that, the finance woman in the dealership got us a rate that was even lower then the promotional APR rate that Hyundai was offering at the time.
All in all, it was a fantastic car buying experience, and my wife is happy as can be in her brand new 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Thanks to Chris, Erin, and the Hyundai Sussex GM-- a fantastic team that sticks to their word and truely puts the customer first!

I try to get the word out when i have a positive experience, and don't like to write these kinds of reviews. . however, in this case my experience was quite difficult - actually miserable - and i don't like the idea of other folks having similar setbacks. I actually purchased a Chevy here, and am concerned that my initial review would not be viewed by the more numerous Hyundai buyers. So to keep it brief ...I am the proud owner of a Chevy bolt, which was sitting in this dealership for about 2 years. so lucky for them i took it off their hands - buying a 2017 car in 2019 is not so smart, but i took a chance. . in any case the team was not educated about this car, and informed me that it would be fully charged after a night in my garage, plugged into the standard cable. to my surprise, i find that a full night plugged in only gives you about 25 to 30 miles, unless you spend close to a grand putting in a higher voltage charger. so this is one issue, which i am living with. in any case, the manager vincent tells me i could use the on-site charger at any time if i am having a problem. so i take him up on this and did use the charger there a few times. I'm not sure how long i am going to keep this car, since the charging is a hassle, and it's just not that comfortable overall, though i do like the technology. But turns out that the last 2 times i leave the car at the dealership I return to find that they have turned off the current on me. kind of vindictive on their part, i'd say, especially after having made a promise to me. At least they could have called to ask that I stop using their charger, since I barely make it into work today.
also the supposed customer service rep - who was supposed to respond to my initial concerns - never got back to me. and finally the gm cares team also informed me that they are not able or wiling to help out with either my charging issues or the major issue with the poor seat comfort (part of the reason why the Koreans are taking over, most likely).
in closing i'd have to warn you folks out there that this is not a very friendly, highly trained or customer-based group of individuals, though this is not easy to reconcile with my prior experiences here many years ago, when i had better times purchasing cars here. not sure what happened, and I intend to stay away. there are better choices out there. good luck!

I would give Burns's Hyundai 2 👍👍 up. A dealership is only as good as it's employees. From the salesman (Dan), to the GM (Russell), to the other employees I had interaction with (parts & service depts) it was a pleasant purchasing experience.
I would like to add that Hyundai's website (hyundaiusa) and the website of ALL Hyundai dealers, including Burns Hyundai, made the search for the EXACT car I wanted very easy and NOT time consuming (driving around from dealer to dealer searching for a car). Burns Hyundai (although 50 miles from my home), at the time I was searching for a car, had an excellent selection of vehicles. I was looking to by one particular model and found another one, that I thought suited me better.
You may not find the car you want, at Burns Hyundai, but stopping in and speaking to the staff is a GOOD place to begin.
Once again, thank you Dan: EXCELLENT pre-sale knowledge, walking me through the purchase process, taking the time to show me the operating instructions of the car (An Ioniq plug-in with lots of switches and dials), setting up the blue tooth of the infotainment system, AND inviting me to return to Burns's Hyundai, anytime, for additional help with using all the Bells and Whistles that are offered in the car. Both Dan AND Russell made me feel as if I were their only customer and that I was now part of the Burns's family.
I could have gone to closer Hyundai dealers. I'm glad I drove the extra miles.
At the time of this writing I have had access to the car for about a week, driven almost 700 miles, and each mile has been a pleasure.

From the moment I walked into the showroom Sam, Joe and team made me feel welcomed and my business appreciated. I had horrible experiences at other Kia and Hyundai dealers when looking to buy a Telluride or a Palisade. From bait and switch pricing to flat out lies, I had experienced the worst of the worst. These gentlemen turned that experience around in a few hours (I had been shopping since April). They were honest, sincere and worked with me on getting what I felt was a fair deal. Joe was hands down one of the best salesman I have Interacted with in a long time. Sam was super hands on and Chris in finance was very helpful as well. The worst customer service - can't even register a car - MultiBuyer
I bought 4 cars from this dealer in the last year. Last 2 they never called me about plates. I called them before expiration of temps and found out they were told weeks before they needed something but never called me. Mike Mojica (salesman) told me they could get me new temp plates which was wrong and he never called me back to follow up. Found out 2 days later that they found out they needed something else and still never called me. Manager Kris Kamlet wouldn't get on the phone with me or return my call until I got Hyundai corporate involved. Temporary plates expiring and they told me they won't provide loaners even though they admitted that they dropped the ball. How does a dealer not follow up on plates, let temp plates expire without, and not even provide a loaner. Looking at their reviews for the last few years, many more negative reviews in the last 12 months. Must be a change of management for the worse - probably Kris Kamlet. I saw him totally berate and older couple looking to buy as car as several of the other reviewers pointed out. Salesman Mike Mojica talks big about what he'll do but then didn't follow through.

I bought my 2017 Hyundi Sonata Hybrid from a Dealer in Toms River, NJ....I live in Old Bridge, NJ...because of the distance I brought my car in for service after a year to Sansone ,the car was great for a year and I only have 11, 300 miles on it. BUT I started to have problems. .From the Moment I arrived, there was a bad attitude from the employees in the Service Dept.. I had three issues to be fixed..the Driver's side Seatbelt wouldn't retract back and would hang down for the door to hit it., the Headlight Highbeam Assist stopped working and the MPG readout on the dash and GPS gave false readings.....at times it read 70 MPG. After waiting a hour and a half I was told they couldn't fix any of my issues...they saw no issue with the seatbelt, they didn't have a way to check the High Beam Assist AND they didn't know why I was getting false readings for the MPG read out ! Is this the great Warranty we have with Hyundi that they couldn't help me ….and I was sent home with no repairs ! My next step will be the Lemon Law if they can't repair mt car !

I just purchased a Hyundai Tucson yesterday. We have been dealing with Hyundai since Brad Benson days and I have since it change hands at least 3xs. I would say by far this has been the best car buying experience I’ve had working while working with Hyundai. Bruce was an excellent sales man, he greeted myself and my mother at the door. He listened to exactly what I wanted and brought the car to me. When i wasn’t sure and wanted to see a different trim he didn’t complain he went and got it without hesitation. I settled on the first car I saw, he was very informative and explained all its functions during our test driving. And while doing all the paper work which took forever he brought me and mother sandwich’s to eat. Andrey who’s also a part of their finance time was great to work with as well. I would recommend this dealership to anyone, definitely made me feel like my voice mattered and took the time to work with me. Loving my 2019 Tucson.

I spoke w angie on the phone regarding a used accent when I came in she personally greeted me and had me sit w elias who was my salesperson. Everyone was so polite they had food refreshments and everyone was so professional. I ended up purchasing a new sonata I didn't think I can afford it but they made it happen for me I am beyond thankful for the new staff and management was also amazing. I test drove a Hyundai Kona January 12th. I own a Hyundai and wanted something higher with more clearance. I called in May and the person told me that the payment comes from another company. Seven months later, no payment. And they never took responsibility for their (what amounts to) false advertising. Very disappointed.
