Had recall on Kia Soul. - Harmony

Had recall on Kia Soul. Called made an appointment and expected to drive vehicle back home same day. During diagnostics there was an "Oops" moment and I was advised car was unsafe to drive and they would have to order part for necessary repair. Eric Hicks, service adviser, ordered an uber which took me to Enterprise Rentals and provided me transportation home. Eric kept me advised over next few days status of vehicle. Kia of Burlington went beyond what I expected to get vehicle back on road and I am very appreciative of their excellent service. I would recommend Kia of Burlington and especially their service department to others. Thank you Kia and Thank you Eric.

Very professional, friendly, and thorough. The communication throughout was outstanding. I appreciated the shuttle ride home, as it made it so convenient for me. The shuttle driver is really nice and easy to talk to. AJ was my service representative. He went above and beyond to help me with my car, including calling me the next day to check if everything was all right. My car was ready before I knew it, and they even washed it for me! I really appreciated the service!

Tony Clarke was such an amazing person to work with, not only was he very very helpful in finding the right car for our family, but he was so funny and made this experience for us really easy! He helped find the right vehicle we were looking for that had all the important details we wanted and needed. He really went above for us! Eli in the finance department was an easy person to talk to. He made us feel welcome and went the extra mile to help us choose which direction to go with our purchase. This is our second vehicle from Kia and we couldn’t be happier! Matthew informed us of any recalls pending on the car and worked with us to set up a time to complete the recalls. Matthew also provided the technician to provide any additional details. We had a great experience with Matthew and the service team. I am looking at possibly buying a new Kia Telluride based on my experience with the Keffer Kia team!

I recently bought a Kia Sorento out of state before moving to NC. I had a few problems with it and issues getting an honest answer from other Kia locations. Once I moved to NC my neighbor referred me to Kia of Gastonia. Once I got there I was greeted by Morris the service manager. Morris was legitimately concerned about the issues I had been having and assured me he would personally ensure my vehicle was taken care of. Turns out I had an electrical short from a wire that was worn down and it took them some effort to find it. After my vehicle was serviced by Morris and his team, I have had no problems. Those guys are highly professional and they truly care. As long as I have this vehicle I will continue taking it to Kia of Gastonia because I know it will be done right and I won't get the run around like I seemed to get at other dealerships where I didn't actually purchase the vehicle. If you live in the area I urge you to go see Morris and his team because they are first class!

Brandon Owens was my consultant. He was awesome! He told me it was going to be about an hour wait and offered a free Uber to and from anywhere I wanted to go in the area. Of course I took him up on the offer. While I was out he called me to let me know what was going on with my car and that it would be longer than they expected, so the next day. That wasn’t a problem because Brandon immediately offered a free rental car. Brandon really took care of me and when I got my car back, it ran like new. Thank you for all you did Brandon and team!

Several weeks ago, I was in for routine maintenance after which they offer a free car wash. When they brought my vehicle out, I noticed black spots on the hubcaps on the driver’s side, but it looked like smeared dirty oil and I thought it was either that or someone was sloppy with whatever they applied to my tires during the car wash detailing. I figured it would wash off in the rain. We had a really hard rain a few days later, and afterwards I noticed the black patchy looking spots were still there. I decided I should get something to wipe the substance off, but as I was getting ready to do that, I realized there wasn't something on the wheels at all. What was actually going on was the gray powder coating was peeling off in patches revealing the black metal underneath. It was at this point I realized all four wheels were damaged and peeling. I wanted to make sure I hadn’t just missed seeing this damage before, so I pulled up the video Bob King sends to customers when the vehicle first goes back to the service bay. Sure enough, the video showed close up views of all four tires and every one of them was intact and had zero damage. No peeling whatsoever. I called the dealership and they told me to bring it in so they could view the damage . After looking it over, the service manager and the person who oversees car washing employees said they couldn't figure out what had happened to the wheels. They also claimed at that time that they don’t even touch wheels/tires while doing their car washes. This tire claim was a lie and was the first red flag for me that they were going to try and avoid responsibility. I knew it was a lie because I had seen the menu for car washes posted in several places inside the service advisors’ area that very day, and even for the most basic car wash it said that they did clean the wheels and tires and apply ArmorAll. I left the dealership that day with the service manager saying the matter was above him and he needed approval from a higher up to authorize a repair because it wouldn't be cheap. It wasn't just a matter of popping on a new set of hubcaps; the actual wheels are painted, and the vehicle would have to be taken somewhere to have that done. While waiting for them to get back to me, I started to get a bad feeling and decided I should go back and get a photo of the car wash menu. I went in recording with my phone the following day. Curiously, the menus, which had been posted in several places, had suddenly gone missing. The advisors I spoke to (without revealing why I wanted to see one) hunted for the menus at each of the stations and throughout their area. They were confused because they knew they had been there previously and said so on camera. While I was doing this recording, I saw the service manager I had spoken to in the distance, and I believe that he either saw and recognized me and saw I was recording, or the nervous employee I captured on camera told him why I was there, because before I could even get home he called me to say they were going to make sure and get my wheels taken care of. This service manager said he wasn't sure what method they were going to employ to get the wheels repainted, but because they didn't do it on site he would have to find a company in the area that did it. This was on a Friday afternoon, so he asked me to give him Monday and Tuesday of the following week to call around and find a place, but said one way or another the wheels would be taken care of and they would also provide me with a loaner vehicle while the work was being done. A few days have now turned into weeks, and they will not return my calls. Thank goodness I have video evidence of how my wheels looked before and after and of the call during which they told me they’d do the repair. I had hoped to avoid small claims court, but I can’t let this rest. I have called around for an estimate myself, and I'm getting a price of $650, no doubt the reason they're reneging on their promise.

Brought my Optima in for repair ( needs heater core) the week before Memorial Day; it was there over a week and they never got to it since they only have 1 mechanic who can do the work. I was told they would call me to get it in ..............still waiting today's date 7/19/16. SO WHERE DO I GO TO HAVE MY KIA FIXED??

Just wow! After visiting my local (High Point) Kia for some help with a flashing check engine light and being treated rudely, I made a call to other Kia places and struck gold with Battleground Kia. So friendly, treated me like I was important and they cared. Everyone was friendly, from the lady on the phone, and the service rep., to a sales rep that chatted me up while I waited. (No, he wasn’t trying to make a sale.) very impressed!

The service department here definitely needs new management and service advisors. Very unfriendly service advisor with Ciera. Her whole attitude and demeanor communicates that she’s being put out with any question or issue and she’s doing you a favor by even answering your phone call. John the service manager completely disregarded our complaint and issue. Like not even a response! Besides not standing behind the complete engine replacement they completed, which was done just a few months ago, an 02 sensor went faulty and instead of replacing it for a reasonable cost, they tried to charge us over $600 to replace a $99 part. If parting with your hard earned money and being fleeced is something you enjoy then by all means use the service department here! If you don’t appreciate being ripped off, then avoid for sure. John, the service manager didn’t even bother to call or respond to an email about the issue I raised… I called three other service shops in the area and all of them were 50 to 60% of the price quoted by Ciera. If you’re looking for any level of Kia car repair or Kia auto repair in the Rolesville, Wendell or Raleigh area, I would highly recommend avoiding this particular dealership. Just super unhappy with the lack of friendly customer service, and I despise being ripped off by dishonest repair shops like this one. These scam artists even included $190 diagnostic fee in the repair even if we decided to go with them for the repair. We’re talking about a five minute hook up to a computer to get the Kia error code. Hopefully this review costs them a lot more than $190 by helping a few others not get ripped off and have to be subjected to terrible customer service in the process! Go get your Kia repaired somewhere else!
