The sales part of this transaction was fine, but the - rlprichard2008
The sales part of this transaction was fine, but the overall shadiness of the company left us questioning their practices. We bought a Jeep with lower miles, which was exactly what I wanted and needed. However, they lose a star for lying about the bank rejecting GAP coverage. When I called the bank the next day, they said they never rejected GAP but wouldn't loan on the GAP the dealer used. They charged me above book value for a vehicle that should have been in mint condition. The front seats are worn and faded, the front tires had no tread, and the shroud around the wheel and bumper was damaged. The oil was also overdue for a change before they sold it to me. Right off the bat, like every other car I've bought from their auto group, this one cost me hundreds. Tires were around $800, I still haven't gotten an estimate for the shroud repair, and I had to pay their sister dealership to change the overdue oil. The bank eventually added GAP for $375.
The experience worsened when I went to the local dealer (their sister lot). Long story short, the management feels it's okay to mistreat loyal customers who didn't buy directly through them. This is when the sale really fell apart. I contacted Colville about the situation, but I was ignored until I posted a review about my experience. I raised concerns about the limited ASE-certified mechanics in the area and explained we always used the other dealer since it's closer to where I live, and my medical conditions make driving difficult. The owner eventually contacted me, claiming this behavior wasn't tolerated and attempting to smooth things over with empty talk about how great his employee is and how much he loves the area. However, there's been no resolution--he was supposed to contact us, but we've heard nothing. I did get a call from Ivan Reese wanting to discuss the issues, I replied with an email stating the further communication will need to be in writing for transparency and of course there was no response.
