We are not ones to buy new cars often. - gwtrc4
We are not ones to buy new cars often. We tend to keep a car till the time comes when a repair out weighs the value of the car. I loved my Chrysler 200. In fact, my last four cars were Chrysler. Friends of ours love Subaru's. They said how safe and reliable a Subaru was. I had seen the advertisements for all the safety features, and Subaru was one of the dealers on the list when the time came to go car shopping. The day arrived, so I sat down and googled "small SUV" The Crosstrek caught my eye first. Next, read reviews. Now I wanted to go test drive a Crosstrek. Googled near by dealers and International Autos in Orland Park had good reviews. Jeff Nonog greeted us, told him I saw a red (an absolute requirement in a car for me is it has to be red) Crosstrek. Immediately, I felt comfortable talking to Jeff. He made eye contact, had a pleasant smile, and listened to our answers of what type of car shoppers we are. When I sat in the Crosstrek, I was very impressed with the comfort and layout of the dash, feel of the steering wheel and, most of all the size and layout of all the screen. I have to admit, I was overwhelmed, but not for long. Jeff immediately sensed that I was overwhelmed, and began to slowly explain all the features, starting simply with, "ok" get comfortable in the drivers seat, "how does the steering wheel feel?" He explained every feature in a fashion that didn't make me feel like I was out of touch with technology, but, like a friend showing me their new car and all it had to offer. He was patient and did not rush through anything. He gave me time to feel comfortable before we proceeded with the test drive. The Crosstrek handled smoothly. I felt comfortable driving it. It is a larger vehicle than I am used to, but the drivers seat has more adjustments and, being very short, I was sitting high enough to have full view. Did start to get close to the lane line and a beep beep sounded, warning me to move over. Every safety feature helps. Test drive over, yes, I like this car, let's talk. Once again, Jeff was professional, not pushy, and we were able to agree on a fair price. His manager never came to talk to us, which shows Jeff has his confidence. All in all, a very pleasant experience with Jeff Nonog and International Autos. Jeff has been in touch to make sure I am happy with our purchase and to remind me to call on him with any questions or concerns. One last plus for the dealership, they offer, free of charge, a time to come in and go through, in more detail, all the vehicle has to offer. Thank you to Jeff and International Autos in Orland Park.
