We have purchased vehicles from Long McArthur Ford in the past. Dan Penner was the sales person. We have purchased a car from Dan before. This was my first time as a widow to buy a car and Dan treated me with respect as did the man from finance. I have been driving a Dodge van and it starting to cost more in repairs than I wanted to do. So I decided it was time to trade. This visit started out as a service visit and ended up as a sale.

Electric fuse issue - Robert
I came into the dealership with a issue with my headlights. They went above and beyond to go out of their way to help me. They did not have the part but went to their lot to find the piece I needed. Much appreciation on their kind service and willingness to help

Friendly. Answers all questions. Dealership in Clay Center, KS that I bought this vehicle from always gave a detailed report (tire pressures, etc.) and swept out floor mats, wiped down console and offered this complete oil change service yearly free for life for vehicles bought there. Really appreciated that.

2006 Ford mustang with aftermarket supercharger and... - SadMan
2006 Ford mustang with aftermarket supercharger and upgraded fuel injectors. Runs perfectly fine...Always has. Dropped off at the Ford dealership for simple airbag recall. They called to tell me it would not start. $150 computer diagnosis of “rich fuel mixture“ = Laymans terms “you flooded it“. The mustang owners handbook has a great description on how to start a mustang with fuel injectors and how to disable fuel injectors by depressing the gas pedal when you accidentally flood it. I have never had that problem before that time; or since after picking it back up at the dealership. Not sure how they flooded it. Their assumption from the computer diagnosis was “leaky fuel injector.” Sounds awfully expensive. My diagnosis was to start it the way it is supposed to be started and drive it normally. Has worked fine ever since. Sorry guys. You blew that one. There was no problem to fix. Just learn how to start your own cars. Thanks for the pricey bill for a free airbag recall. Maybe let some of your old school mechanics do the diagnosis without the computer. Or just start the car without pumping the gas pedal like it is supposed to be started.

oil change and tire rotation; rear brakes redone - shorner
Had oil changed on Wednesday, I think, and scheduled the brake work for Thursday. Dealership was kind enough to deliver vehicle to my work site.
When I took the car out Friday morning, I was a bit unnerved to find a lug nut on the floor of my garage. I checked all the lug nuts on the vehicle, and they seemed to be fine. The service manager checked with the technician, who said a nut was missing when the car came in.
My guess is the nut was loose from the tire rotation two days earlier and came off sometime between the oil change and the brake job.
My daughters car needed some recall work done on the... - sahoopes
My daughters car needed some recall work done on the transmission. Should have been covered work but they cited a technicality and forced us to pay for the work. Ford sold a car they admitted was faulty. But Rusty Eck didn't care about that or making it safe for my daughter to drive. They did give us a $130 off which is less than a 10% discount. They give non-loyal customers bigger discounts than that for stupid things like oil changes.
They had a lot of options for how to handle this. Rusty Eck chose to make us pay to repair a defective car. That tells me everything I need to know.
There are a lot of choices for car repairs. We're going back to Mel Hambleton. And we're both looking at new cars next year. They will not be Fords.

Had a oil change at 930am. Had to wait until 1130am before the oil change was done. Should have just went to Jim Clark's right down the street, but I was in a new Ford company truck, so I thought I stay with Ford. Never again.

BMW has the worst service department we have ever... - JReichenberger
BMW has the worst service department we have ever experienced. We took our SUV BMW in for yearly service and it came back three days later in WORSE shape that when we brought it in! We have purchased three BMWs in the last 10 years but we will not be doing this again.
When I went to pick it up, they had gashed in the back of the car with some type of tool. And then we discovered, after we got home (one hour away, that they hadn't even changed the oil!!
Service - Jessica G.
Our vehicle was there for THREE weeks. We would call to ask about progress and several times we got an answer of 'we don't have any record of your vehicle being here.' Then we would get a call back later in the day to tell us that they were waiting on the mechanic or ordering a part. On Friday, September 29th we called to ask about the status of our vehicle. We again got the response that they had no record of our vehicle being in the shop. We were told Mike would have to call us back. We made plans to get a car dolly and tow our vehicle to another dealer because we had no confidence that our vehicle would ever be fixed. Then about 4:30 that afternoon Mike called back to tell us that our vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. We understand that the service department was very busy but there was not an excuse for 'having no record of our vehicle'. We are looking to purchase a new vehicle and we had considered looking at Beckman Motors, but that will no longer be a consideration.
The Best-Ever Customer Care - LDK751
I didn't purchase my Ford car from Crow-Moddie Ford. At the time I purchased my Ford car, Crow-Moddie didn't have in-stock what I was looking for in a good used car. However, they service my car to perfection! I receive the very best customer care and service from Crow-Moddie, especially thanks to Dayton Sutterby. Dayton is the best guy at customer service. He calls when he says he'll call. If there's additional problems or work that needs to be done, Dayton calls and visits with me about it beforehand. He's the best!
Saved the Family vacation! - HarbourFamily
We were pulling a large 5th wheel trailer with our Dodge RAM 3500 when our diesel fuel tank came loose and was dragging the highway. We limped into Dan Brenner Ford. Everyone was great to us, dropped what they were doing and came out to take a look. Chance rolled under the truck on a creeper and checked out the situation. Rolled out and announced, "No problem" I'll have you fixed in no time. And he did. We were back out on I-70 less than an hour after we had limped in. I can't say enough about the service. And we weren't even driving a Ford. They only charged us $40.
