Long time customer - chebens
My family and I have been taking our cars to this dealership for a long time. After a bad experience with one of our cars dying 2 weeks after putting a good amount of money in it we were told that they would help us out in terms of recouping the money that we payed in the repairs. I feel as though they did not quite meet their promise of helping us out as they said they would. But, outside of that the customer service was good, Kyle was nice and accommodating and willing to work with us to get us in the right car. Tony was great in working finances with us and getting us into the right monthly payment. We also worked with one other person and I feel bad that I can not remember his name (former shelbyville cop), but he is one that took us on the test drive and he was awesome. Although we did not work with Jason Parker on this experiences we work with him consistently and he is always great.

Pontiac g6 repair - Andreavl
I have a 2009 Pontiac G6 that was having (what I thought) was a transmission related issue and I had a recall that needed taken care of as well. I did research on any possible recalls that could possibly be related to my new problem and found what I thought might be a possible match and had my car towed into McGonigal’s. They checked my car out that day and confirmed that it was in fact an older recall and had both recalls fixed within a day. Everyone that I either talked to on the phone or in person were very welcoming & nice not just to me but to all of the customers that were in the service area. I witnessed nothing less than smiles and happy customers and staff that treated every customer like an old friend! I have been a customer with McGonigal’s for a long time and have never left there without a smile or satisfaction.
Thank you HG McGonigal’s for being true to ALL of your customers! You’re tops on my list and I will be back weather it be for service or another car!
WORTH THE DRIVE ANYTIME ... - TonyInPalmyra
I took my relative's car over to GM City on the advise of a cousin who bragged on the people over in Scottsburg. I'm sure glad I did. They sure do know what they are doing!
My cousin's car was making a new sound and she drove it everyday to work. She told me about it more than once, so I asked around at church. Everyone had a different idea. Finally, another cousin said drive over to see the service folks at GM City in Scottsburg. I's glad I did!
I need to shout out to Scott Nale who really helped me. I got out in less than an hour. While I was there, their General Manager Ryan Barker even introduced himself. I didn't want to leave. They really valued me and made sure everything was more than okay.
I know where to take any car I have over to Scottsburg! Again, Worth the Drive Anytime!
Thank Again, Tony in Palmyra

Great, friendly customer service and goes the extra mile to find the vehicle I was looking for, After three vehicles, he had the one I was looking for and a quick purchase was made in one afternoon. That was the quickest purchase I have ever made on a vehicle and don't regret using Curry's for my purchase. Thanks again for helping me out!

Ben Davis helped us find a great car at a great price and made the entire experience as easy as possible. Leon was great to work with and start to finish was phenomenal. We will definitely search him out in the future. The dealer is over an hour and a half away and it is worth the drive.

Like buying a car back in the old days....horrible - indypedalsteel
I've had my eye on the 2018 Lacrosses and came to test drive some. I tend to keep my cars a long time, and I also tend to get very bothered by squeaks/rattles in a vehicle that costs in excess of $30k...it's a lot of money to spend and I think most would agree that expecting quality fit/finish shouldn't be out of line.
I told my salesman, Luther, several times I wanted to try and drive a few of the Lacrosses. He kept pushing back that I should just look at the one I like the most since they are "all the same". I made it clear that no two cars are identical, and at sticker prices over $40k I want the car to meet my standards.
One car drove very smooth but there was a very noticeable interior squeak in the rear every time I pulled the car to the right...and only when I pulled it to the right. (He was not in the car to hear it....but told me "it's probably just a nut rolling around" and dismissed what I was saying). The second car had no interior noises at all, but there was something wrong with the drivers window. Not only would it not roll down at first, there was very loud wind noise coming through. Definitely not normal.
After driving the second car, I asked to drive a third, final one. This is when Luther started to turn nasty. He said "they all drive the same" and continued to say that these cars have zero squeaks or rattles. I said that's ridiculous...ALL cars with plastic interiors are prone to it, but some are better than others. For him to suggest otherwise and to start arguing with me about it was offputting. He than said "does YOUR car have squeaks?" which is a joke....it has 130k miles. Of course it does.
He proceeded to ask me which car I wanted, to which I said I want to still drive the 3rd one to see. He continued to tell me to just settle on the colors I wanted and I said I wouldn't. Note that I was not acting belligerent or arrogant....I was very tired having driven from Chicago earlier in the day dealing with a family emergency and was more subdued than usual, if anything. He finally got the keys to the 3rd one and it wouldn't start.
I told him I'd just come back Monday and test drive it after they got it running, but he wasn't having it. He took my trade-in keys to the front desk to have someone appraise my car, though he had the keys for about 20 minutes up to that point while I was on a test drive....frustrated at that fact, I at first said I'd rather just do all that Monday and he responded "WE'LL DO IT NOW!" and huffed up to the desk. I then got angry and said it was late (close to closing time) and I'd just do it Monday and he REFUSED. These are the car dealership experiences my dad spoke of often from the '70s....I thought we'd moved past this type of behavior.
Luther and I then talked price for a bit (since I was stranded without my keys) and then after the appraisal was done and my keys handed back to me, he flat out refused to tell me what it was appraised at. He said he didn't know. I told him the appraiser would know and to ask him, and he said the appraiser didn't know - which, of course, was ridiculous and I said so. I said I would not come back Monday if I didn't know that we were in the ballpark. He said "you know what your car is worth" and I said yes - about $7500 - and he said "then we're in the ballpark!" with nothing but frustration.
In my years, I've never dealt with a salesperson like this, and I'm annoyed enough that I had to say something. It takes a LOT for me to get riled up and write about something, but it needs to be said.
poor customer service - jojo
Monte has poor customer service skill and a bad attitude problem. I regret getting my car from that place. I will not recommend anyone there based on him alone. Refelction on management
Very poor customer service - Markb2430
So I bought a 2017 Chevy truck at a price very close too what the dealer was originally asking; I was told there was. Dry little room for negotiation! This vehicle had 18k + not new but fairly clean. I negotiated that they detail the exterior of the truck with the deal as it had rust dots imbedded in the white paint! I was told it would be detailed the morning that I came to pick up my truck and pay 40k! Needless to say they did not follow through on their promise. I took the vehicle regardless as it was raining and I had driven an hour and 10 minutes after making a deal a previous day; they had given me their word so why would I question? I received an email from the salesman asking how I felt about my purchase. I stated the truck was treating me good so far; but I was a bit disappointed that he did not follow through with our agreement to detail the truck and remove the rust dots. A few days later he made it a point to call me and tell me he was very sorry and he would like to make it right and detail the truck for free at my convenience in schedule! I made him aware that I couldn’t get it in rt away as I don’t live close but I would set something up as soon as I could. I emailed the salesman to set up the exterior detail and asked about getting a price to detail the interior and get an oil change while I was there since I would be make no the trip! He called me back said oil change was 70$ and entire detail was free of charge; so we set a date when all work was to be done and I was told it would take approximately 4 hrs and a would wait in town. So I go through all of this driving/ waiting in town and receive a call that vehicle is ready for pickup. I return on foot to the dealer to get my truck and find they have maybe changed oil and ran the truck through car wash only! They swept interior did not attempt to detail or steam clean 1 thing inside, and the exterior was still polka dotted with rust specs in paint as it had been when I originally looked at buying the truck!!!! Very pusses off that they chose to waste my day, fuel, and lied to me about their intentions!!! The dealer would’ve been further ahead telling me no they would not detail the truck for free from the get go; unbelievably dissatisfied customer!!!!!!
Courteous, knowledgeable and prompt service - Borst
Purchased my car from previous owner of Mike Alsop Chevrolet. OnStar was installed and operational in the vehicle. Got an air intake system error, and was advised OnStar to take for repair immediately. Took to Alsop's multiple times and was sent on my way because they could find nothing wrong and to ignore the warning as a false computer reading. After getting error for the 4th or 5th time, I took it to Mike Raisor's in Lafayette and found within 4 hours of arrival that the air intake manifold had a large visible crack in it. I was given a loaner car while awaiting the part to arrive and to be installed. It was in in about a week and fixed the same day! Now that's what I call service.
Issues as soon as car was bought! - Helen
We went with our son to buy a fuel efficient vehicle. Bought a 2016 Sentra. Salesman and finance men were good. As soon as we left we noticed the car start to overheat. My son took the car to the services department and when we went to pick it up we were told nothing was wrong. Well on his way to work this week and stuck in traffic the car began to overheat again. Luckily he was able to get to a gas station. Checked fluids and all was good. Taking it to a Nissan dealership now. Luckily we purchased a warranty but don’t think we should have to pay the deductible on a car that was sold to us with problems. Will NOT be buying another car there again.
Update: Took car to Nissan dealership. Needed a new fan. Why couldn’t Kennedy figure this out??? Should never sold us a car that overheated on the way home from the dealership!!!!
Won’t deliver on promise. - Buick review
Paid extra for heated seats to find out only the back is heated??? And only on passenger side??
Anything for a sale 😧 not a satisfied customer!
Negative Equity, Negative Relationship - fleetwoodzach
I wouldn't do business with Autoworld if you plan on using a trade-in as part of your payment. I bought my first car from Autoworld and received nearly $1,000 in negative equity on it as a trade-in for my second car purchase, even though I had a 0% APR and had a standard amount of miles on it. All this says is that a purchase from Autoworld means you'll receive negative equity! Management doesn't value loyal customers who voice their concerns and were unwilling to do anything than "respect my opinion." I'll be servicing my new car and purchasing future cars elsewhere!
