I had a tremendous experience at Colonial Ford. I don’t buy cars often, historically; so it’s always a like-new experience each time. And I went in with my guard up a little, wary of old “shady car dealership” tropes.
But Joe Oliveira took exemplary care of me throughout the process. I came in for a test drive of a ‘26 Bronco Outer Banks, intrigued but unsure if it was right for me. Joe was great about explaining everything about the car, assuaging some concerns I had, and even showing me different trim levels so I could compare.
Most of all, I really appreciated that Joe really seemed to want to get me in the RIGHT car, not just the most expensive one he could sell me. And he went out of his way to locate a Bronco with a specific combination of features from another dealership in the network. I’m pretty sure he went to get it himself, a good hour-plus drive away. He really went above and beyond to get me into a car I loved, and didn’t just like.
Joe was also completely transparent about price, and got me the numbers I asked for to make a decision ahead of time.
Brenden Smith was also a breeze to work with. I was going to pay cash but I heard him out on his pitch for financing. I really don’t want a car payment, but he showed me that for a mere few hundred dollars of interest, I could have the car paid off in a few months, and go from “no credit” to a “good” 700 credit score…and I’ll probably be taking on a mortgage for the first time in the next few years, so that’ll really help. Never even considered that when I walked in the door, so I thank Brenden for pointing me to a lay-up opportunity for better credit, when I don’t really have other ways to build it other than taking out a credit card I don’t want.
Joe was so helpful on the day I picked the car up, too. He helped me setup all the computer stuff inside the car, and my Ford app on my phone.
It was just an overall smooth and painless transaction. 5-stars across the board. Joe was an absolute gentleman and professional, especially high marks for him. Brenden was great, but he was so good I didn’t need more than ten minutes of face time with him, lol. Zach at the front desk was also courteous and helpful each time I showed up.
