Knowledgable Friendly Service - Chuck Pearson
We ordered a base model Ford Fusion hybrid. Our sales consultant Dan Friihauf did an excellent job of explaining options to us, getting us a good deal and keeping us updated on the progress of the car. When the car arrived he explained the features to us. We hadn't had a new car since 2001 so that was very useful. The new car was clean and shiny and had a full tank of fuel. The other staff that we encountered was very friendly. The F&I person didn't argue with us when we turned down all the wonderful protection he offered, a refreshing change from an experience at another dealership a long time ago. We will definitely return to Bell Ford next time we buy a new car.

A very good experience.
Excellent Service - Thankful Lady
I was visiting from downstate and was concerned about tire pressure in one tire. The service people could not have been more accommodating even though they were closing shortly for the holiday weekend.
Emily Kriszt was amazing! - Annie101

The dealership is pristine and very comfortable. Not one bad thing to say! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Also, loving my new MKZ!

Bought 2011 Equinox - 2011 Chevy
I bought a used 2011 Chevy Equinox. Daniel Friihauff helped me decide between an 08 Ford Escape and this car. The lower mileage on this vehicle and the lumbar support won it for me.

Rob did a great job finding us the perfect vehicle. He stayed late and worked with our schedule and availability and encouraged us to be patient rather than trying to push us into a vehicle that wasn't the right fit. Highly recommend.
UNRELIABLE AND DISHONEST SERVICE - Betrayed Customer
I brought my Ford Escape to Bill Marsh Ford for safety recall and transmission service. I have a PremiumCare Extended Service Plan, through which I am entitled to a free rental (loaner) vehicle from the first day of service for 10 days. I was also entitled to a loaner vehicle for the safety recall work from the first day of service. At no time while my vehicle was being worked on pursuant to the safety recall was I informed by anyone at the dealership that I was entitled to a loaner vehicle. With regard to the transmission work, which did not even begin until the third day after I dropped off my vehicle for this service, I was informed by two Service representatives, including the Service Manager, that I could not have a loaner vehicle until after it was determined the service to be completed was covered by my PremiumCARE Service Plan. I reviewed the Plan and concluded I was entitled to a first day free rental (loaner), and did not have to wait for the diagnostics to conclude the service was covered by the Plan. I then contacted the Ford Extended Service Plans department and spoke with a representative who confirmed my interpretation of the Plan. Upon my return to the dealership, both a service representative and the Service Manager again claimed I was not entitled to a loaner vehicle until after the diagnostics were completed and it was determined that the required service was covered. I made clear Ford's contrary position and presented my reference number confirming that I was entitled to a first day loaner vehicle. Remarkably, no one at the dealership asked for my reference number, clearly not caring to take the time to correct their misinterpretations and misapplications of Ford policy. It is also remarkable that their "misinterpretations" of service plan provisions consistently favor their business, as opposed to their customer's best interest. THE MANAGEMENT AND EMPLOYEES AT BILL MARSH FORD HAVE LOST MY TRUST. If I am informed by anyone at Bill Marsh Ford that any part of the service work to be completed on my vehicle's transmission, I shall immediately appeal their determination to Ford. It is a shame that I must scrutinize my Service Plan and second guess everything told me by Bill Marsh representatives, but they are simply unreliable and untrustworthy. In future I shall be sorely tempted to bring my Ford Escape for service to Fox Ford in Traverse City, nearly an hour away.
Great Customer Service! - ka920802
We had our Explorer in for regular service as well as to have the door seals replaced and the team kept us informed of the status of the repair every step of the way. I was floored when they quoted the repair for the door seals which came in at LESS THAN 25% of the quote we received from the Ford dealer in Okemos! Not only are their prices right, but their customer service is impeccable. Signature will be our go-to for service on both our Ford and our Lincoln from now on!

Perfect from start to finish - Patsy Ann
Today, a beautiful Lincoln MKC was delivered right to my door by Eva Meade. From start to finish, Eva was fantastic. She was professional, kind, extremely thorough (especially with the tutorial for this old lady who " didn't get it" over and over - and never lost her wonderful sense of humor. I would not hesitate to refer Lincoln of Troy and, especially, Eva Meade, to anyone wanting a wonderful purchasing experience. Eva Meade is not a salesperson, but rather a friend who helps folks get new cars and teaches them how to make them work. God bless this lovely woman. Thanks to all at Lincoln of Troy.
Service, Service, Service - Tami Deveroux
This is for the employees of Bob Maxey Lincoln-Mercury, Mack Avenue: I could possibly be one of the most impatient people on the planet, but my impatience is put to the back of my day when I bring my car to Bob Maxey Lincoln-Mercury for service. One thing that people have to remember is that this is a full-service dealership, bodywork, service, pre-owned and new car sales. They do it all on site, and you can not expect to be the one person on the property. If you are looking for that quick-in, quick-out oil change, then go to one of the businesses that do that, and that only. The employees at Bob Maxey have always been courteous, helpful, and listen to me say what I need them to know. In this kind of service business, you have to expect that there are other customers besides yourself that also need work done to their vehicles, otherwise they wouldn't be there either. Your car is more than just filling up with gas or just going to Starbucks for a cup of coffee.
When I had service that needed to be done, I called first to ask when it would be a good time to bring my car, and Shawn told me first thing in the morning. I used to always get a loaner car, no matter what, at Bob Maxey, even when I knew they would have it for the day, but two weeks ago, I just had them drop me off at home so I could get work done myself. I wasn't impatient, didn't rant and rave like some people do if they have to wait a little bit of time. I thought they might even have my car until the next day because of service things that I needed to be done. Not so, I received a call about 3:30 to say it was ready, and they sent Mark to pick me up again to take me to my car. I had even spoken to Bob and Mary in the body shop to have something looked at with my vehicle while they had it, and they did, and gave me the info when I picked up my car.
That time of patience and realizing that I am not the only person on the planet that has an automobile issue made it easier for me, and it worked out well. Give the people at Bob Maxey the time to do their work done, to help you with your problem, to try to get your car back on the road. It can be done, and nastiness, yelling, or demanding doesn't do anything for you or for the professionals who are working on your car. I couldn't do any of the things that the men and women at Bob Maxey service, body shop, or sales do, so why would I think that I can tell them how to do their job any faster or better. Respect anyone in any job and remember that you, yourself, can't do everything that we need others to make our days better.
I bought my son his Lincoln MKZ and my pre-owned Mazda Tribute at Bob Maxey several years ago. I have been a customer for over 20 years, and will remain a customer with the respect that I receive from the employees at Bob Maxey Lincoln-Mercury. Bob Maxey, the owner, also takes the time to speak to me regarding something different than an automobile. That is the kind of dealership that I will stick with. Respect them, and you will receive the same respect in return.
sales dept desperatelylacking. Parts and service were great - Wifeloves2shop
Poorly treated by two different new car salesmen on 2 separate occasions. The salesman today had little to no interest in helping me. I walked in with the intention of buying and paying cash for a new Volvo. I could tell right away that he has no desire to help me. Very condescending.
In past when visiting the service department, I'm treated wonderfully. The parts department was especially helpful. It's because of parts and service that I will refrain from leaving only 1 star. Also Naz has always been very nice and helpful.
Owner has horrible customer relation skills. - Maddhatter1488
I purchased 2 vehicles from their used car department. The sales team was great I would recommend them in a heartbeat, unfortunately I would not recommend their service center, trust their used car inspection or even rely on the owner to step up and resolve the issue in the name of good customer service.
I bought 2 cars both have had issues. The first car has been in the service center twice and still has the same problem plus an additional noise that it shouldn't have.
The second car has several issues and hasn't even been looked at by the service center. I was told not to worry about it because it is still under factory warranty so I should take it to the Chrysler service center, even though Chrysler didn't sell it to me.
The service center acted as if I was an inconvience to them so I called the owner who said he would call me back because he was with a customer. I never received a call back from him but instead got a call from the sales manager who stated that the owner said he would buy both cars back. I don't want to sell my cars back I want them fixed.
Sales people are great but I would not recommend Northgate Ford and lincoln.
POOR DEALER , POOR SERVICE - scott
My son bought a 30,000 truck and in less than 3 weeks having ball joint issues and a cracked air intake that will cost us over 500.00 in repairs. spoke with salesman and was told the truck went through a inspection. I ASKED HOW COULD THIS TRUCK HAVE ALL THESE PROBLEMS AND WERE NOT FIXED BEFORE SALE OF TRUCK. I WILL NEVER ADVISE PEOPLE TO BUY FROM lAKEVIEW FORD!
New Vehicle - J Arn
Mike Brown was excellent to work with, straightforward and accommodating. Friendly Ford in my experience separates itself from the dated tactics of some other dealerships.
Time wasting and disappointing - Melissa Schulz
We stopped into service with our 2014 Ford Explorer LIMITED. Told them that the back up camera didn't work and the rear lift gate didn't work. After 5.5 hrs we stopped back in only to be told that yes. The camera and rear lift gate were in fact broken. It will be $1100 to repair. We said forget it. Then they said they couldn't find our car or the keys. We were told that we would have to wait half hr for the techs to return from lunch. Then we were charged $100 for what we already knew. The service guy told us just to use our mirrors like people use to do when they needed to back up. THIS IS A $60K CAR. WE DIDN'T PAY FOR BELLS AND WHISTLES JUST FOR THEM TO ONLY LAST 3 YEARS.
Living Nightmare. Ford Motor Company should be ashamed - jdunsmore
I do not normally post things like this, but I am left with no choice. I was so excited to purchase a new-to-me vehicle. I went to Imlay City Ford because I thought they were a reputable dealer. I instantly fell in love with a 2013 Ford Edge. It was a newer car and didn’t even have 45,000 miles on it. Sounds like a great deal, right? WRONG! This car has been a complete NIGHTMARE. I noticed there was issues with it within owning it for not even a full week. I will have over $1,000 in repairs done for the car before I even make my first car payment. Not only that, my mechanic has let me know that the entire underneath of my car is rusted! For being only 5 years old and low mileage, it should not be rusted. Nor should the dealership feel good about themselves at selling me the car at a price of “mint” condition. I have called the dealership and expressed my anger and disappointment in the products they pride themselves in selling, and they simply have said, “well, had you brought it back to us to look at it, we could have worked out a deal, but since you didn’t, there is nothing we can do for you”. From being excited to have a new-to-me vehicle, this has been the WORST experience. It is an absolute shame that this is even acceptable, and even more of shame that the men I have spoken to pride themselves in this type of service. I will NEVER give them my business ever again. I am putting this out here for anyone that is looking to buy a new or used car. Save yourself the hassle, and do not even consider dealing with the salesmen at Imlay City Ford.
Renewed Faith in Ford Service - David
I have been a devoted Ford customer and I currently own nine vehicles (all Fords- Two mustangs, Two F150’s, F250, Flex, Escape and Two F100’s). Last year I bought a new Mustang and a new Flex – Love the designs, the power, and very happy with the features. With all of that said, I have been very disappointed with the service of a dealership in Grand Rapids. They have diagnosed the issue without driving it – called and said it was fixed without verifying it (Got there to pick it up and there was literally no change done to the vehicle – the comment from the technician was “I thought it would fix it”)
Sorry, I digress…..
Now, I was stuck heading north to go snowmobiling and my truck just stopped running. I called around to see if there were any shops that had available time and ED Koehn Ford in Greenville was the only place that had time available. I was very skeptical due to the last 4 times I had work completed by a Ford dealership but I reluctantly sent the truck there.
Let me tell you… I was very pleased and amazed with the communication by Jordan and the level of service by Taylor. They test my truck, called around to other service stations for similar potential causes, made a change but because it didn’t fix the issue, they didn’t charge me the labor. This was a big surprise and I cannot sign the praises of the service department. You have given me hope that not all service centers are incompetent. Thank you guys!!!
