Much of my summer was spent searching for a new vehicle. I really wanted to get one that would be trouble free and meet my needs and requirements. Returning from a trip, a stop in Kalamazoo gave me the chance to meet Alex McNett. At that first meeting he spent plenty of time and allowed test drives of several different vehicles. No pressure from him and seemed like a real desire to put me in correct vehicle for me. More time passed while I continued to do Internet reseach and some hands on research too. In spite of the fact that I live near Grand Rapids there was no doubt I wanted to deal with Alex and Metro after much shopping. On purchase day the car I went to buy was test driven one more time. Then decided I should try one other possibility just to be sure. No problem from Alex. He wanted me to have the car that I wanted. Surprisingly that final car was the winner and I took it home that day.

Like every dealership, it has some dealers who are more helpful and some who are less so. I came to Suburban because of their support of local education. The atmosphere seems very customer friendly- even employees who weren't working with me specifically were very helpful. When I originally walked in I was assigned a rep who just oozed negative vibes once I mentioned I was also considering a non-Toyota alternative. But a friend mentioned Eugene, I called, and he was great. Not pushy at all, offered all the information I wanted and more- even when at one point he thought I was going for the alternative non-Toyota car. I highly recommend him.

It seems that customer service in a lot of places has declined but I was extremely pleased with my recent experience at Serra. I was able to drive right in to get started with no wait, The service guy was very friendly, polite, and helpful. The work was done faster that estimated time I was given. The checkout person was also very friendly and polite. They both went over the material given to me and made sure I understood the work that was done. Also, I thought the price was very fair and reasonable. I will definitely continue to bring vehicles back the next time I need service.

When I say I would recommend ANYONE & EVERYONE to go see Zach no matter your circumstances. I went to almost 5 other dealers who could not assist me with getting out of my old car and into a new one. Not only did he get me $0 down, but I also drove off the lot THE SAME DAY! He walked me through the process unlike my last dealer. I told him the range of what I was willing to spend and he made it happen! Super cool and he's good at what he does. You can tell he's not the type of dealer who just wants your money. As we test drove my car he showed me the features. Everything was broken down in depth detail. I left with no questions. I am extremely frustrated! I own a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, and just discovered the vehicle is unsafe to operate due to excessive rust and corrosion of the frame. What is so upsetting is that this is my 16 year old daughter's vehicle - and I only became aware of the corrosion when I asked a service technician to check out the Exhaust System.
The vehicle, in 2011, as a result of the Extended Warranty for inappropriate corrosion resistance, was taken into a local Toyota Dealer (Page Toyota - Southfield MI). At that time, we were advised that there were no corrosion issues, therefore they would merely be applying a corrosion resistance application. Here we are six years later and the frame is completely rusted out. The vehicle has just under 200,000 miles on it (which is nothing for a Toyota - capable of so much more), but is now unsafe to operate without a new frame! I contacted Page Toyota, who advised that they would investigate. I did not hear back as of yet, so I contacted the 800-331-4331 number referenced by another. I am told, sorry, it is outside the 15 year warranty period, there is nothing we can do! So, had I brought it in after 15 years of use, in 2014 (instead of 2011), would I again have been told there was no corrosion? If I purchased a car, that did not have any rust/corrosion issue 6 years ago, I would be livid that it was completely rusted out in 6 years... UNACCEPTABLE! I have to believe that one of two things occurred... (1) PAGE TOYOTA of Southfield MI lied about the condition of the vehicle at the time of the inspection OR (2) PAGE TOYOTA did not properly spray for corrosion on my non-corroded vehicle as indicated!
EITHER WAY, I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE TO ANOTHER AUTO MAKER!!!

Classic bait and switch. Jake offered us one price on a 2016 demo Sequoia ($47,800) on Saturday afternoon, a price which was slightly higher than the online price of $47,777 that had gotten us talking to them. You can see the price history on autolist dot com. We asked a few clarification questions since we planned to buy the car sight unseen from out of state. He said he'd have to wait until Monday to get an answer. He didn't call back Monday morning, so when we reached him in the afternoon, suddenly the price was upped to $48,900. He claimed it had been "dyslexia." Refusing to honor the Saturday price even though the car has been for sale on their website since March (I'm writing this in September). We spent three days trying to negotiate the price of the car back down to the *original* price and they act like they're doing us a favor. Manager refusing to come to the phone. This place is a joke. I spent $28,000 here on a truck that had issues that should have been resolved before it rolled out onto the sales lot. They push ad on sales, false advertise, and give you the run around with anything that doesn't have to do with another sale. I was sold the "Bumper to bumper warranty" ( $2,000) that was "The Cadillac of coverage" because they said it covered everything and I could take it to a local insured shop. 5 months later the AC stops working and conviently the $650 part that needs replaced isn't covered by the warranty. Direct quote from the adjuster at the warranty company, "I wish they wouldn't call it bumper to bumper because it's not." Another lady from the company said, "It's not bumper to bumper but it's the best one you can buy." So now I live across the state (150 miles) and I'm being told that I should bring it all the way back to the dealership to have them look at it because they don't think it's that part that my mechanic says it is even though I read them every test and result that was done on a brand new AC machine. Now I'm forced to make the decision that I take the possibility I get there they find the same thing and I still have to pay for an extremely expensive part or I get it fixed at home. They dismiss you when you talk and once they make the sale they could care less about your experience. Even other staff members say that customers call frustrated often because their "bumper to bumper warranty" isn't actually bumper to bumper. They'll listen to your concerns so you feel like you're getting somewhere, but realistically nothing will be resolved until you make the decision to come blow more money at this place. I've made multiple phone calls and now I'm sitting on a truck that I should have ran away from when I seen the detailing that was done before it rolled onto the sales lot. $1500 later and the truck looks great and probably worth what I paid for (you know, if the AC actually worked). They care about money regardless of how bad you get screwed in the process.

I did request the tires to be rotated and they were not. I did mark each one prior to the service so I know they were not rotated... this was a friend's recommendation because he had that filling but he could not prove it.

Absolutely horrible service. Beware. Find a different service center. Went in for a routine oil change. I was lied to by Stepen Sovis about the cost of additional repairs. What ended up to be $75.84 , should of been $31.98. Never again.

I look on line for a used Camry, they had a 2012 certified, for $16,431. We went to the lot and talked to Brian Foster, he let us drive it. When we returned and started to negotiate a price he looked at his paper, and said that car is on the lot for $16,931. When I told him the sticker in the window and the internet price was $16,431. His reply was the price is always a little lower on the internet, and the person who puts in the window stickers put the wrong one in that at car. We made an offer, he came back from the manager with the counter offer, and said the window sticker guy is getting his butt chewed out right now. We exchanged offers again, and he returned saying I could get to your offer if we could decertify the car, BUT Toyota changed their policy Jan. 1 2015 we are not allowed to do that anymore. We left it at that.
Two days later we stopped in to see if they would take our offer, and low and behold the sticker on the car was still $16,431. Brian's Sheet now had it at $16,631, I asked him why the sticker was still $16,431, I was told the guy that changes them was sick. I made one last offer, when he came back from the manager he said they would agree to that, BUT they would have to decertify the car.
