New Encounter at Morristown Nissan – August 16, 2025
Just when I thought my experience with Morristown Nissan could not get any more disappointing, my trip there on August 16, 2025, proved otherwise. I drove 1 hour and 20 minutes back to the dealership to cancel the extended warranty contract for the 2025 Murano SL currently in my possession.
While completing the cancellations, I spoke with the General Manager. He invited me to share my concerns again regarding my experience on July 26, 2025. He suggested that perhaps we could work something out by swapping the 2025 Murano SL for a Platinum model I originally believed I was purchasing. At first, I thought this might indicate the dealership was ready to take my complaints seriously and resolve the situation.
Unfortunately, it quickly became clear that was not the case. Despite knowing the cost difference between Platinum and SL is about $3,000 and is the settlement amount I have requested, the General Manager presented me with an unreasonable offer. Their proposal would increase my current loan debt by additional $20,000 in payments over the life of the loan. Later, a “revised” offer was made with an owner’s approval that would still increase my current loan debt by $12,000 over the life of the loan.
Since the offers were ridiculous, this was not an attempt to resolve my concerns but rather an effort to waste my time and emphasize that the dealership would not take responsibility for the prior misrepresentation.
I will continue pursuing my complaint through the Better Business Bureau. I have also prayed for the General Manager and owners—that God would touch their hearts, lead them to treat customers fairly, and remove any negative influences that harm both consumers and the dealership’s reputation. I choose to forgive them for the wrongs I have experienced, while still seeking a just resolution.
