If I could leave - REKNAPP1
(I posted the same review on Google)
If I could leave negative stars, I would...
Promised me a deal yesterday, but when it came time to close, I was told: "our system is down at the moment, your deal is locked in, We'll take care of you, and get everything signed in the morning."
Today, I get a text from my salesman: "Good Morning [My name]. This is [salesman] from Morristown Nissan, reaching out to let you know I got your approval and wanting to know when [your family] can back in to get your new truck?"
I replied that I would be there "within the hour"
I arrive and one of the "Managers" comes out and tries to hit me with a "deal" that's almost $200 more a month than what they said was "locked in" the previous day. They did "manage somehow to bring it down to only $100 per month above what I had agreed to before I told them to forget it and walked out to what was going to be my trade in, and I left in the vehicle that I arrived in.
They can't be trusted to deal in good faith. You will take your business elsewhere if you are smart.
Prior to this interaction I had bought a vehicle from East Tennessee Nissan (same dealership, different name)... and they kind of screwed me on that deal with some fine print buried in the lease agreement. But when the name changed and new management I decided to give them another try. It was a mistake.
I was reading some of the other many "1 Star" reviews, and numerous ones of them had the same bait-and-switch scam that they tried on me... and their reply always includes something to the effect of "We would like to assure you that we take your feedback very seriously and will be addressing this matter internally to prevent similar incidents in the future."... I am left wondering when they are going to start doing that ... or is it just some irrelevant platitude that they hope will soothe over people that don't know it to be the waste of text that it is.

I'm copying their response, just in case they decide to delete it after seeing this edit...
Response from the owner a day ago
We apologize for falling short of the level of service we strive to provide. Your comments will be shared with our team for improvement. If you’re open to it, we’d like to connect directly to help make things right.(423) 273-5479
My response to that:
I decided to give them a chance to "make things right"... in my book, you "make things right" by doing what you promised. Well... they chose to NOT fulfill the promise that was made to me on Monday. So now I have a worse opinion of them than I did before... because they reneged on their "make things right" offer. They didn't have to make that "make things right" offer... but they did, and then they failed to follow through.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP.
Edited (part 2)...
Looks like me copying their response was a good idea, since they deleted it as I expected a dishonorable business to do.
