My wife and I were hit by an 18 wheeler on the 210 Freeway while driving home in our 2017 Malibu which was damaged beyond repair. Three weeks later we met Mike Peralta at Paradise Chevrolet where we received excellent service from all involved in the process of purchasing a replacement vehicle. Paradise Chevrolet exceeded all of our expectations and made the experience very enjoyable. The Malibu we purchased is beautiful and even nicer than our 2017 was. 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD - chriscaldera
Top of truck was scraped as dealer employee drove under canopy. Tiny damage on fender was spray painted to cover it up. Paint colors didn’t match. I was not made aware of these things when I picked up the truck. I had to bring it to their attention. Other than that, everything else was good.

Hybrid Charge Port not covered by Hybrid Warranty - MUSLEHS2001
First of all, JLS Service dept did a nice job diagnosing and completing the repair. That’s worth two stars in this experience. The majority of the experience was who paid for the repair.
I was led to believe that this issue (car not charging) was ok to bring in to the dealer because it’s obviously either part of the hybrid warranty or drivetrain warranty. After the car was taken apart and mid-repair, GM tried to tell the dealer that the hybrid system charge port is not covered by the “hybrid system” warranty or the drivetrain warranty.
JLS Service charges $185 diagnosis fee (in case the repair is not covered by warranty), which I agreed to on the premise that this issue is absolutely related to my hybrid system and that’s under warranty. So, when GM said it’s not covered, I’m now on the hook for $185 whether I get the car repaired by them or not.
When the warranty claim was rejected, my “service advisor” switched modes from helper to salesman. Now the goal was to keep me from canceling the repair and negotiate a price that would tempt me to proceed. They flexed on price but refused to dispute the warranty issue any further. I ended up paying about half the initially quoted ~$800 repair quote. Classic salesmanship.
JLS should have represented me in disputing the warranty decision. It’s absurd that the hybrid system charge port is not part of the hybrid system. Do non-hybrid cars have charge ports?
At the very least, they should have offered to waive the diagnosis fee and reassemble my car for free so I can fairly take it to another repair shop to see if I can find a lower price. The bloated quote and half off scam is not a fair alternative. Everyone knows dealers overcharge for repairs.
The service department needs to try to “sell”less and “service” more. They’ve broken my trust.

I bought a used truck here and the salesman Dave Maine helped me through the process. It was nothing more than awesome. He was knowledgeable with the vehicles they had and up front and honest. Great buying experience. About a month or so later I received a free lube and oil change from them so I made an appointment for the following week. I was running late for it so I called and talked to Colleen Anderson in the service department, she told me "no worries" I'll see ya when you get here. I brought it in and introduced my self. She told me well lets go check it out and get you going. Very professional, took all the information that was needed and brought me over to the waiting area and offered me coffee. I was so impressed with my treatment at Simpson Chevrolet of Garden Grove. Yobani Graciano was very apologetic that the item I needed replaced was not in stock. He suggested keeping the car at the dealership, but I needed it that day. He said the part would be in between 11:00 and 1:00 that day, but I chose to make another appointment for the next day. He said he would personally make sure the part was in the next morning. Yobani set up an appointment for me, filled out all the paperwork so I wouldn't have to wait, and was extremely courteous. The next morning I arrived for my appointment, and Fernando Trejo took care of me. The paperwork was ready, the item was in stock, and before very long my car was serviced and I was on my way. Fernando was very helpful and polite. He even had my car washed before he returned it to me.
The cashier, Ursula Ramos, was extremely courteous. She even gave me a bouquet of flowers to thank me for servicing my car at their dealership. Simpson Chevrolet of Garden Grove will continue to be my service shop of choice.

All I can say is I can't be more pleased with the customer service and work done at Woodland Motors. Richard in the service department, contacted me to let me know why my vehicle was having issues as well as what my warranty would cover. My vehicle was done in a timely manner. Then he took the time to go over the work invoice and answer any questions.
This was the complete opposite experience I had with the Kuni Chevrolet service department. I went there first with the same issues. They did not submit the complete job to see what my warranty would cover. I was just told that the job was denied but was not given a reason. Then they told me I needed more than $3000 worth of work and seemed to be upset when I took my car home. I'm glad I decided to take my car to Woodland Motors to get a second opinion. Not only did they fix the issues I brought it in for, they submitted the complete job and found out the warranty would pay for 75% of the job. None of the issues that Kuni alleged were found by Woodland Motors. I left Woodland Motors paying around $600 which $200 of that was the deductible for the warranty. The other were things that were not covered as I had a limited warranty. Woodland Motors service department took care of the issue, saved me money and Richard gave me exceptional customer service.
I'll never go to Kuni or recommend anyone to Kuni Chevrolet again. Because of Richard in the service department at Woodland Motors, they have my trust and a customer for life. Give them a try, it's worth the drive.
