I was about to return my car. - zrattu
I was about to return my car. I waited over 2 months, my sales reps left the company and I was left hanging but then JERMIAH literally came in and he was just amazing. Took care of me and saved the sale. Literally wasn’t even his deal, I’m not sure if he got the commission but man oh man was I angry at him and I feel so bad.
I was about to post a 1 star review on Google with the following story but then he came and fixed everything. Here’s what happened prior to him helping me
I want to start by saying I’m an easygoing, trusting person. I sent money right away when asked and tried to give the benefit of the doubt. I’m sure the team here is made up of good people, but something went very wrong with my experience.
I was shopping for a car online and got excited when I found Norm Reeves Honda because they offered online buying. At the time, I was speaking with a few dealerships, but Norm Reeves was closer, so I leaned toward going with them.
Here’s what happened:
I spoke with a salesperson, Jerry, who told me they had the car I wanted available on July 30. His manager, Melissa, assured me I could do everything over the phone. I paid a $500 deposit, and the day before pickup, they asked me to wire the full payment, which I did.
July 30 came… no car. I had already texted, emailed, and called (three times that day) before finally finding out it wasn’t there. I was told there was just a “slight delay” and it would be a few days. Those “few days” turned into August 5, then August 7, then August 8. Each time, no car.
It was extremely difficult to get updates from my salesperson—most of my calls went unanswered. I had to speak with three other salespeople before finally being told the car might arrive between August 13–17. By this point, I had already been relying on Uber for two weeks and asked if they could find another solution. No response.
Then, on August 12, I got a call saying the car would now arrive on August 22. I asked if they could offer anything to make up for the fact that they had my money for weeks and left me without a car. The call ended without any resolution.
Before the money hit their account, communication was great. After that, not so much. I feel misled, and I could have easily gone with another dealership—yes, further away—but at least I’d have my car by now.
I’m still hoping to work something out. I’ve even suggested fair resolutions in email, like refunding my payment (minus the deposit) until the car arrives, at which point I’d send the full amount again. So far, no movement.
Hopefully someone in upper management reads this, because the sales managers haven’t been able to help. I’m happy to update this review if Norm Reeves steps in and makes things right.
