My experience from start to finish was a really good experience. My salesman Steve was GREAT!!! I called the dealership to check to see if the car that I was looking to possibly purchase was still on the lot since I was coming from Philadelphia and was fortunate to get Steve on the phone. Steve, not only looked on the computer for it but went on the lot to see if it was still there stating that he was a “sight seen “ person and the came back to the phone with his bubbly personality letting me know that the car was still there and that he would keep an eye out to let me know if it had sold before I got down there so I did t take the drive there from Philadelphia. Arriving there the next day, I was greeted with the same bubbly spirit from Steve. . I was truly grateful that the whole car buying experience went smoothly and they every person that I came in contact with was very nice. Oh, bye the bye, my mother came with me and was taken care of by Steve and Cecil while I finished the buying process. The experience was a good one!!!

We recently purchased a new 4Runner for my wife, and it was the easiest, most enjoyable vehicle transaction I've ever been a part of. Our salesperson Josh was incredibly nice, super knowledgeable about the products, and very eager to help. When we got there he already had the vehicle we were interested in gassed up and ready for us to take for a test drive. He was able to tell us about all of the features, and the difference between two trim levels we were debating between. Also, EJ in finance was able to make our transaction much smoother than I've ever experienced, and was a pleasure to work with as well. We were able to get exactly what we were looking for and left with huge smiles on our faces because Josh and EJ made the entire transaction so easy. We will definitely be back to see Josh and EJ next time we need a new vehicle!

Worst service center in Toyotas book of business - GTS Driver
Brought my 2017 Tundra in for routing maint (tire rotation, oil & filter). Made an appointment online. Had to prove I made an appointment by showing the porter the email I received as confirmation. OK, no problem. Tells me to go to the end office and Nicki will be right with me. Sure, so far so good right. Well 30 minutes later, no Nicki. Other service advisors where grouped together playing on their phones and too busy to be bothered so I went to the front reception lady (very nice and friendly) to ask her to page Niki. Well Niki isnt here is the response I get. Why send me to an open office where no one is working? Decided Ill just do my own service since I have a road trip tomorrow. Bought 1 filter from the service guy (great service - if you buy 3 filters you get 1 free btw) and paid the cashier (also great service). Went to Walmart and bought 2 - 5qt containers of Mobil 1 5w-20 syn for $22 each and headed home. (Mobile 1 has a $12 rebate on 5qt containers right now btw) Might as well do it yourself since Pearson Toyota could care less about servicing your vehicle. Found my keys in the open office and grabbed my truck off the back lot. Looking at the other reviews from this dealer, I can understand why the service center is barren. Worst service ever. Guess Ill take my Tundra, Tacoma and Land Cruiser to another dealer from now on. This one is written off forever Toyota customer care has already received my complaint and Ill be moving on to the region rep next. They have a roped off Supra btw if you are in the market. Just take it to another dealer for service.

I called for an appointment for fuel pump replacement due to recall and was told that they were doing those on July 23 which was 2-3 weeks in the future. My bad that I didn't call back to check that they had the part prior to dropping off the vehicle that AM. That afternoon I am told they don't have the part but will for sure have it in the AM so car is left overnight. I did request a call the next AM if they should not get the part and as you can guess no part arrives. Wasted lots of my time and gas. They offered to keep my vehicle over the weekend and give me a loaner which I turned down since I have no confidence in when the part will show. Poor due diligence on their part( no pun intended). Sort of surprised how good their reviews are. Could be someone dropped the ball in my case.

False Advertising - Mistake - K4HRunner
Unfortunately, Mechanicsville provided a vehicle quote that was a great price. I arrived reviewed the vehicle and placed a down payment to secure the vehicle for purchase. After I left Mechanicsville contacted be at 8:30 pm to inform me that the quote was a mistake and they most likely could not honor the price. I requested the associate to talk with their manager since it was their mistake to see if there was anything they could do, since they were closing he told me he would do that first thing in the morning and call me back. The next morning at 9 am (when they opened) I received a call saying that there is nothing they could do and by the way they sold the vehicle to someone else despite the fact that I had a down payment on the vehicle. I take a lot of exception on how this played out. First, I'm surprised that they were able to sell the vehicle between the time they closed until the moment they opened. Second I'm surprised that they would sell a vehicle that some else had already placed money on to hold the vehicle. I fully understand that there was a misunderstanding on the price but I feel that I should have been afforded to option to still purchase the vehicle at the potential new price. Obviously I find it hard to believe that the vehicle sold between closing on one day and the morning that the place opened the next, and if this dealership lied so that they wouldn't need to deal with the mistake they advertised as it felt like a form or bait and switch. FYI - I did still purchase the vehicle I was looking at but from a different dealership.. Personally, I can be understanding regarding pricing mistake but I cannot forgive lying or moving forward with a different buyer after someone has already a down payment.
Not a good experience, and I don't trust this dealership. Trust is key if your going to buy an expensive consumer item like a car. The associates I dealt with were Mike Elliot and Wayne Lawson.

Received no call, if I hadn't called would it even been completed. What is purpose of having appointment if 6 hours later, simple oil change and 90K wasn't done and no call about status.

Dealership and it's employees are super friendly, low-pressure and worked hard to make sure we got exactly the vehicle we were looking for at a very fair price. They were more concerned about getting us the right car for our family rather than just making a sale. It makes all the difference as a consumer!
Financing was handled quickly and easily, the vehicle was in perfect condition and all our questions were answered quickly. Great overview of our new car as well and all the new features we have. While we had to drive a bit to get here, I would not go anywhere else.
Most dealerships are high pressure and stressful. Nelson made it fun and exciting. And they have followed up to make sure the car has met our expectations and we are pleased with it.

I wish someone from this dealership could explain why the car I drove 175 miles to buy with the money to pay for it. In my purse wasn't ready for me to buy. I really wanted the vehicle, but there was scratches on one side, a long scratch 18 inches or longer an inch wide on the hood, cracker crumbs in the back seat, and needing a washing and good cleaning. It took me three hours to drive one way. I arrive at this beautiful Toyota dealership excited to get the vehicle I had been looking for to get the biggest disappointment. I know things are different in the world today and people are not truthful. I am not mad, at 84 I don't get too upset any more but I would appreciate a call explaining why the car I went to buy wasn't cleaned up at least and waiting for me. You need to work on your 3.5 rating. Beautiful facility but employees need help badly.

Went in for a routine oil change. Told me I needed rear brakes/pads..$491.00. I trusted my gut and went to another garage and they told me there was nothing wrong and I did NOT need brakes. They charged me $21 for labor, that's it!!
Called the manager, told me to come and they would show me. I have purchased 3 cars and multiple services.....NO more!!! While I was getting my oil changed I overheard another serviceman try to scam a lady but she was smart enough not to fall for it!!! Stay local and don't waste your $$$ on the big dealerships for service!!!!
