If you’re considering buying from Keyes Toyota, beware. I spoke with Peter Flores, the Internet Sales Manager, about a 2025 RAV4 Hybrid Limited. He openly told me they automatically add a $3,000 “market adjustment” over MSRP — and if the vehicle sits on the lot, they tack on another $3,500 in dealer-installed add-ons.
That’s over $6,500 in extra fees on top of the sticker price — and he had no problem admitting it in writing. This kind of bait pricing and mark-up practice is exactly what gives dealerships a bad reputation. I took my business elsewhere, and other buyers should be aware of this approach.
When I followed up, I received a defensive response from the dealership, making it clear that this is their standard business model — not a mistake. I’m not interested in wasting time with dealers who treat pricing like this.
