I was done car shopping I had been to every dealer around. I walked in and told Cliff I want a newer car with low miles under 20,000 with third row seating, he smiled and said we will find you a car today. He showed me a 2017 with under 23,000 miles and the price was 5000$ cheaper then I asked. He was shocked when I sat in it and said ok can I have the bill of sale... he requested I test drive it before I bought to make sure I liked it. I have back and hip problems and needed a higher car I didn’t care how it drove but he didn’t want to sell me something I might not like. I love my Dodge Journey it’s prefect for work or long trips and is amazing on gas. David was amazing when it came to closing he tried to beat my banks rate and couldn’t so he told me to go through them to save me money. You hardly find a honest cars sales men but I found a team of them and I will be going back for all my car needs!!!!! I could not ask for a more stress free and pleasant experience after going to others that I have blocked number from or who kept trying to get have me spend double what I wanted to.

My son and I drove a total of 650 miles to purchase a jeep from Thompson Jeep last week. They had a particular year wrangler I had been looking for in fantastic shape. Excellent people to work with. I spoke with "Jay the jeep man" several times by phone prior to the day we left to pick it up. Jay could not have been more accommodating. When we arrived to pick up the jeep, everyone was great. I think they went above and beyond what I would have expected from any dealership. By the way, Ed, the written directions you gave me to miss all the traffic to get headed towards upstate New York were right on the money. Thanks a million!! Repairs are fully explained and fairly-priced. Anyone complaining here about repairs not being done right the first time--occasionally that happens (with any dealership or shop), but Keene will do everything in their power to minimize the inconvenience, including loaner vehicles. We are more than pleased with the Service Department at Keene.

My Jeep broke down off Interstate 95 and I got great service - Mrsk08753
On June 22 I was traveling from NJ to SC when my Jeep broke down just off Interstate 95. I had my Roadside Assistance tow the vehicle to the nearest Jeep dealership which turned out to be Fred Frederick in Laurel. Even though they were busy, Joe Lavin went out of his way to have the problem diagnosed, overnight the part and install it the next day. He made sure I had a place to stay and kept my Jeep, with all my travel gear in it, in the service bay for safe keeping. I was on the road the next afternoon and have not have any mechanical problems since.

Looking for a Tradesman in NJ I had no luck. I was in a trade that was impossible to trade except for when I spoke with Carl Granville there. They worked with me for close to 1 month , keeping me in mind for something that can be done. After 1 visit to the dealership meeting Kim the Finance person and working with the management team they made it happen.
I got a kool truck with no hassles or games. Good people that never mislead me during this venture.

I bought a 2015 Dodge Charger from Tate used. I gave them asking price for their car and they gave me asking price for my trade. The salesman did not know what oil type was used in the Charger. He was polite and helpful, but still pulled a few shark tactics to sweeten the deal. Luckily, I know how the whole process works. I was direct and upfront about my knowledge in buying cars, but he still attempted to run my credit and was dishonest about the credit application not doing a "hard inquiry". I knew that it would lower my score, so I refused their offer to finance with them. Hours after I bought the car, I noticed that the rear window glass was hazy and the heating element strips were scratched off in several spots. They should have known through their service department that the scratched glass was not able to be replaced under warranty, and that would have saved me 2 months of driving in an unsafe vehicle. The window should have been replaced before it was listed for sale anyway. The service manager initially told me that he would only pay up to $400 for the window, until I argued with him that it is a safety issue and that I would contact the proper channels. They did not do a very good job at hiding the broken vent in the dash. They did replace the window after I got them an estimate. That took longer because they were not clear on whether or not I would receive the check or if the glass repair shop would. It took an extra 3 weeks to get my registration from DMV because the clerks at Tate did not have my SSN. I played a lot of phone tag with this store and THEY played a lot of the blame game with each other. I feel that I got a good deal overall, but the process itself was annoying enough to make me decline repeating business with Tate dealers. I would look elsewhere if you don't enjoy having your teeth pulled..

I've bought over 15 cars in my life time, this by far was the best experience i have ever had with any dealership. Everyone from Rodney Mattison (Internet Sales Rep) to John Barbo (Sales Rep) were immaculate and professional and made my wife and i feel like family. Anytime the owner walks over to introduce himself, that speaks volumes about the company. I have yet to encounter another dealership that seems to put customers above making a dollar.
Fluff on top and incompetent from Top to Bottom - dix6767
Spent 100k in a week on 2 trucks. Trouble from the start, second vehicle delivered in horrible condition, took it back and cleaned it again but obviously didn’t lift the lift gate. I was told they didn’t want to use a cleaner on it so they didn’t mess up the paint, I took a wet cloth and it came right off. List goes on and on, the straw that broke the back for us, our trade-ins were not paid off in time and I had to shell out $500 to get those loans closed, dragged me along for over a week and could honestly careless. Suddenly the fault is mine, and they honestly could careless (notice a pattern). As I told everyone at Cook, I am not a complainer but they sure make it easier to become one. Never Again, I have two beautiful vehicles and would be just fine getting my old one’s back then go through that again. A lot of fluff on the surface but upper management is garbage! I have documentation and messages to back all of my statements.
Worst overall buying experience ever. - porter111
I got the deal I could handle, but it went down hill from there !!!! I was the first sale of the day, but it took an hour and 15 minutes to get into settlement. Settlement was very professionally done--thanks Jackie. My salesman did the best he could do. At delivery, they ran my truck through a local car wash, left all the stickers on the windows, some writing on the window was still visible, and the floor mats were still in the bag on the floor in the back. They could not find the second key and said they would order one. Five days later they had not ordered it!! Guess what? I went over to parts myself and John, the Parts Manager, said they had them in stock. He then cut me a key (good man). My new truck had a vibration at speeds between 55/65 mph. The Sales Manager told me to drive the truck for 1200 miles and that it should work its self out. xxx !!!!! Sorry Jim, worst experience I ever had, and it's not over yet. Mike D'A, Princess Anne
