No kidding: we shopped Ford, Chevy, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Subaru and VW of Medford. Steve Warren was so upfront and knowledgeable that I was able to make a selection. We compared compact crossovers by all these makes. Confidence and trust in Steve was bolstered by his honesty. I would recommend anyone car shopping to talk to Steve Warren. This is the second VW car we bought from Steve.

We had the greatest sales guy - Super Dave, seriously...ask for him. And Sarah at Service desk is great too. As for Volkswagen as a whole and the actual service department here? Lackluster. I recently had to have a ton of work done on my 2022 Volkswagen because of a manufacturer defect, literally all the oil blew out of the car at highway speeds which pushed the valve seals up and cracked the oil pan. Scary, right? Patrick said they couldn't even see us to diagnose for 3 weeks so we paid to tow the car to Westborough Volkswagen to get "fixed". SO fast foward 3 weeks I had to have my 40k service done at Patrick (to keep warranty) and was expecting to hear something about the burned oil in my air intake (you can see it when you change the engine air filter) and they cleaned some off the box...)and condtion of the oil in general even though it had less than 1k on it (looked and smelled burnt when I checked it before bringing it into service.) BUT NOPE. Apparently everything checked out great despite the car driving like a 8 year old holding the gear too long on a dirtbike. Seriously, my Camshaft/Crankshaft ratio is off 64% of the time, Open/Close Camshaft Angles are off, Timing advance is off, fuel trim isn't happy...all this makes for a rough ride. Not sure how I feel about the vibrating drivers seat at idle, im trying to pretend it's a massage feature but anyway, I was sure they'd say something about the poor driveability and rough idle when you're billed nearly a grand for a FULL check & service, I was wrong. They said it was good? Same thing Westborough said after "fixing" the car..."great engine" OH - and surprise...they get you for sparkplugs at 40k now instead of the factory spec of 80k. Found that out at the end. So all in all - you've got some great people at Patrick but Volkswagen as a whole is a different story.

These guys totally robbed me of that simple pleasure, everyone there worked with me to get me the price I wanted, and were just pleasant and cool throughout the whole process. This is not the typical dealership Experience, Matt is top shelf ! Jay Is also a fantastic guy, willing to go the extra mile for his customers. Just a great experience all the way around. I walked into Atamian VW with a True Car price quite that Cee, our salesperson, immediately said that he would honor. We test drove a Passat TDI and decided that yes, we liked the car, so we closed the deal. The sales manager tried to sell me an extended warranty, but I simply stated that I could handle the cost of any future repairs. Easy enough. I've since had the car service a few times at Atamian. No problems.

I was ready to finish the purchase until the GM reached back out to me and bumped up the price by a couple of thousands, using the excuse that the pricing was advertise lowered then they are actually selling it for on many websites. The problem with that is when I spoke to the business manager I never mentioned the price or the website. She simply gave me the numbers I saw on the website without me mentioning it to her. As you can see the GM was trying to pull a fast one on me. I use to work in this business so I know they can bump up the prices on used car as much as they want by a click of a button.

I have been going to Kelly VW since they purchased North Shore VW (where I went for years)and many of the same people work at the Kelly dealership. They are ALWAYS pleasant and helpful and personable. They provide GREAT service for anything from a small tiny adjustment to a major repair. It is not a "typical" car dealership mentality when buying or leasing. There is no pressure to buy or push their agenda....the customer comes first. I would highly recommend them!
