We weren’t certain we were going to purchase a new (Ford Explorer) vehicle yesterday, when we stopped in at Akins, but by the end of day, we drove home in a new 2026. We’d purchased our last 3 new vehicles at Akins, so as you can intuit, we found our purchasing experience positive each time. ( And you can select an ice cream treat or beverage, while you wait for purchase, or while servicing your vehicle. )
One of the key reasons for making our purchase experience so positive, was our sales professional, Joe Sullivan. We discussed the fact that we had an Escape purchased from them, which had been a terrific car for the 8 years we’d driven it, but we wanted a vehicle/ SUV that was a bit larger & a bit more feature rich. We were torn between an SUV & possibly a truck. Joe showed us both a Ford F150 & and Explorer. The Explorer won out. Spacious leg room, nicely appointed & comfortable. Plenty of leg room, head room in both the front & 2nd row, with a third row that we’d likely have down to accommodate groceries or items we were carrying. Cargo space was good for our needs, given we have a home. My son was also back home & said the space/ legroom in the 2nd seat was terrific. And did i say that its a very nicely appointed, and a very comfortable ride. We love it & we loved dealing with Joe Sullivan. He & Akins, made our buying experience truly an enjoyable one. No pressure & as relaxed & enjoyable as a car purchase experience could ever be. Thank you Joe Sullivan & Akins.
