When my wife and I bought our new RAV4 hybrid from Jim Coleman in April we had a discussion with staff that led us to believe that if the APR changed before our first payment we could revise our finance agreement as detailed in the unfavorable review below. It turns out that no such program exists. When we complained about what we perceived as misinformation, Patrick Coleman intervened and provided an extremely fair solution. This was the second vehicle we have purchased from this dealership. It is now likely that down the road about 200,000 miles or so we will purchase a third. We have revised our rating up in accordance with this.
On April 21st, 2020 we bought a new RAV4 Hybrid XLE from Jim Coleman Toyota in Bethesda, MD. This is the second new vehicle we have purchased from them in 8 years. At the signing of our purchasing documents we were explicitly told to pay attention to the monthly changes in the APR financing opportunities offered by Toyota Financial because if the rates became more favorable before our first payment came due on July 20th, 2020, that we could readjust our rates, but that this option would cease upon our first payment. Apparently this was an outright lie. We are now told that the rate became irrevocably fixed as soon as the sale was final. We find this behavior unconscionable. The Sales management has characterized it as a miscommunication. That, too, is a lie. The instructions to pay attention to rate changes were clear and detailed, with absolutely no warning that it was futile to do so, but with a clear assertion that we could take advantage of the rate change. We are not in the habit of making audio recordings of important transactions because, like most Americans, we operate on the assumption the established small businesses deal honorably with the public. It appears we are somewhat naive.

Diego is an honest, straightforward used, and new car salesperson. He knows the car you are interested in purchasing inside and out. If he doesn't have an answer, he will promptly get back to you, even way after the sale is made! Diego always expedites the sales process from start to finish. It's never difficult to do business with Diego. He makes doing business with him and Darcars smooth, straightforward, and in an expeditious professional manor.
Erica Hintz, the finance person, is also honest and straightforward. No pressure to weird sales tactics from him either. We always add on the extra protection plans from both Darcars and Toyota. Erica is knowledgeable in both extended warranty plans. He will professionally and honestly answer any of your questions and then some. He also will do his best to find you the best finance percentage to make the car payments within your budget without any "tricks."
After the sale, all of our cars go to Darcars on Rt. 40 for service. Wayne Cissel is the service manager, and Chris is the parts manager. We are never upsold or told to repair something that was not needed, including on our older cars that are out of warranty. Chris always calls if a part is on delay or backorder. Wayne still gets our vehicles in and out within hours. Both Wayne and Chris also make dealing with Darcars easy.
All of these Darcars employees keep us raving fans of Toyota!

We had a smooth, pleasant, stress-free experience purchasing our Toyota Camry from Younger. When we stopped at the lot we had really just planned to look and not buy.. It started raining just as we pulled up and Brian came out in the rain and meet us at the car. Brian was great-- he is knowledge about the vehicles and explained things in a non-pressure way. I couldn't decide between two colors. He pulled them both up to the building so we could see them side by side. Gina in Finance was very helpful and made financing very quick and easy. Everyone we came in contact with from start to finish was friendly and helped to make our experience a great one.

Car given back to me with bad brakes. Was told when I brought it back that I needed to pay for parts in which the mechanic should have notice when they drove out of the garage that the brakes were not working. Now I was given a car that my family almost had an accident in for the brakes not working and I was given a song and dance excuse that would have to pay for the part intially if they had detected at first, but they did not. thank God I had a rental car and the car was not use except for to take it back to service. Then I was told that it was test driven an ready and nothing was done and I left over the weekend. On Monday found out that it was something else. I was giving a unsafe vehicle and paid parts that did not work and I think that I should be reimburse my monies back. I talked with a representative from Toyota of Bowie who gave me the same song and dance about I would have to pay for the initially if it was found. No problem but it wasn't and how can you put a price on my families life if something would have happen to them. We would be in court. All I want is my monies refunded.
