On my last service visit before turning in my 2019 Toyota Camry XLE for a new Vehicle at the Same Dealership, I was very pleased to receive a modified Toyota Care servicing. Mohammed "Moe" is my Service Advisor in the Service Department after my previous Advisor moved on. As always, the vehicle was checked in for the appointment previously made. I was then brought to Mohammed to write up my service order on the car for it's 6 month Toyota Care which I kept up personally after the Complimentary one which was part of the vehicle care. Keeping it up assures the vehicle running well as it is monitored. Mohammed and I agreed what work should be included since the vehicle was going to be turned over to the dealership for purchase at the time of arranging the future new lease. I waited in the very comfortable waiting area with TV, comfortable furniture and also Comp Beverage Station. I was kept up to date on the progress of the repairs by another staff member. He was also informing the other customers of their vehicles. In about an hour or so Mohammed directed me to the Cashier. After paying, I was informed when the next service was suggested. I was directed to the parking lot which was informed I was heading to have my car ready. The car was brought to me at the gate. Another pleasant service visit to the Service Department at Toyota of Bay Ridge. I will continuing using the Service Department with the leasing of the new vehicle,

this location's service department fleeced me out of over $800 on xxxxxxxx "maintenance". I was hesitant to pay it at the time but assumed the mechanic's recommendations were necessary. the guy "advising" me barely spoke to me and just texted me even though i was in the same room the whole time. go home to find out they just ripped me off. I'm definitely the stupid one for trusting these people. don't recommend anyone else ever use this place's service department, just go to a local mechanic.

I dropped off my car with Toyota of Manhattan on August 20 after my catalytic converter was stolen. They told me it wouldn’t be ready until mid-September, which already felt like an unusually long time for repairs. Then I checked my E-ZPass account and found two congestion tolls charged while my car was supposedly sitting in their service center waiting for a new catalytic converter and not road-ready. Under Richie Torrez’s watch, my car was taken from the shop and driven through NYC congestion zones on August 28 and September 2 a total of about 24 blocks each time, assuming they only stopped at the toll line. Richie later tried to claim it was a “test drive,” to a Toyota cooperate rep, but that doesn’t make sense when the car didn’t even have a catalytic converter installed yet. Sounds more like unauthorized use than a test drive. E-ZPass confirmed the tolls including photos of a man in uniform with a name tag driving my car. When I reached out, I got voicemail boxes, excuses, and zero accountability. Even after admitting my car was driven, they positioned to refuse to refund the tolls. In New York, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle is a misdemeanor. So if you leave your car here, know that someone might take it for a personal joyride through Manhattan. You’ll get excuses, not help. Service your car here at your own risk.

Today I visited your Hillside, NJ location to pick up a battery that I had previously selected and confirmed through your official website. To my surprise, I was told upon arrival that the part number listed on your own website “does not exist” and that the battery I ordered “was not the correct one,” despite the fact that it was recommended by your system for my vehicle. Additionally, I was abruptly offered a different battery “that you had in stock,” with a completely different warranty, which creates confusion and gives the impression of an attempt to substitute the product without proper transparency. On top of that, the service provided by Ms. JPIEPER at the cashier was entirely inappropriate. Her attitude made it seem as if I was asking for a favor instead of being a customer simply expecting to receive what your website advertised. For an official dealer, this type of treatment—combined with the lack of coordination between your online information and your physical location—is unacceptable. I respectfully request that you review the accuracy of your website information, ensure consistency with the products you offer in-store, and address the level of customer service provided. Situations like this damage customer trust and reflect poorly on your dealership. I look forward to a prompt response and resolution.

I brought my 2007 Prius for a routine brake actuator replacement. On the day of my appointment I show up to their service department. They tell me they don't show an appointment for me. I then show them their business card with the appointment date and time written by them. They then take my car in. A week later I get my car back. After paying $3000 plus for parts and labor they pull my car out. I immediately see the warning light illuminating on the dashboard indicating a problem with my hybrid battery system. I inquire the service manager about the warning light. He tells me that due to the age of my car, the hybrid battery failed and that I would need to pay to have it fixed. I never had an issue with my hybrid system so I'm very skeptical about the manager explanation. I tried getting an answer from Toyota corporate and their customer service, but nobody can explain why I wasn't told about my battery problem before they started working on the brake actuator. I would had never authorized their service department to continue working on my brakes if they would had told me that I had a major issue with the hybrid battery.
