Our experience buying a car from Milton was as good as it gets! We visited three times while trying to decide which brand of small SUV to buy. Milton patiently and without any “car salesman” pressure showed us all the features answered all our questions and took us for test drives on each visit. He could not have been more helpful and we finally decided on the CR-V in the sandstone color. But it turns out that color was not available - the closest one was in Fredericksburg Virginia! Milton voluntarily drove there the next day and brought it back to Bowie - an all day trip with traffic - forfeiting any potential sales that day in order to get us the car we wanted.

Walked into the dealership knowing what my budget was and what my needs were but was not sure what my options were. Mfon asked me all the right questions, looked at the inventory and showed me a few options. He really made me feel comfortable taking my time to look and to decide. I never felt pressured with Mfon. I saw a few cosmetic things wrong with the car I was leaning towards. Grabbed something to eat down the road (still hadn't made a decision yet) and then came back. All my concerns were addressed and corrected while I was at dinner.
By far one of the best car buying experiences. Highly recommend dealing with Mfon at Ourisman Honda/Volkswagon. Did I mention he sells both new AND used cars? He showed me both and I purchased a used car that looks and runs like new :)

FRED FRY IS A COMPLETE JOKE - MauriceB
First things first, this is NOT an “old co-worker” or fake review!! I’ve purchased my 2018 Accord from Pohanka Honda in February, I didn’t have an issue with the initial purchase however the car came with no maintenance plan (My Ford Fusion I owned prior came with 2 years free maintenance) but the first oil change was free at 5000 miles, I’m currently at 4000 miles after a little over 6 months (I don’t drive the car often due to working downtown DC. Anywho I take the vehicle to Pohanka to get my first oil change and everything seems good since I took my 2014 Accord for service. However this time I’m being checked in with the service writer that does an extensive walk around of the vehicle and takes several pictures of the vehicle including the rims as if it was being rented to me from Enterprise Rental, keep in mind that the images taken was visible when I signed off on the work to be done via the tablet!! I go and sit in the service lounge for about an hour or two; I was told the vehicle was done and ready. I get to the car and it’s still dirty and I noticed no washer fluid was put in the reservoir, which a wash and all fluids topped off is included in the “oil change” which now I’m not sure if this was done or not! After I get washer fluid and a wash I then proceed to go home with the car still being dirty, I took it to get a real car wash the next day and as I’m shining the tires I see curb like scuff marks on the rims!! No big deal, I proceed to contact the service department to see if I can obtain the pictures that they took and the service employee stated YES they can be obtained however only by the service manager Fred Fry, so she transfers me to his voicemail which he doesn’t return calls or messages. So I decide to take a trip up to the dealership and he magically can’t retrieve the pictures from the device that they used when my car was being serviced and stating they only save the info for 3 days. Working 6+ years in the Government Information Technology Field, I know that such documentation/pictures/information of any sort just don’t get deleted, I gets backed up and or saved. So he proceeded to walk around the vehicle and says that damage couldn’t have been done by the dealership as the vehicle are “backed into the bays” when being serviced. Me working at a car dealership when I was younger know that the vehicles are pulled into the bays with the front of the car facing the tools and diagnostic systems. So lie after lie I hear from this service “manager” just pissed me off even more. Mr. Pohanka needs to get himself a new Service Manager to manage the service department correctly because Mr. Fred Fry isn’t cutting it by a long shot!! I will take my vehicle to Brown’s Honda, Ourisman Honda, Landmark Honda etc. anybody but Pohanka!!

Last night I dropped my new 2018 Odyssey off and this morning Gerard called me to let me know it would cost $260 to repair. Since we needed an oil change in a month or so, I asked how much that would be and was told $49.95. The shuttle picked me up at home when the repair was done and up to this point all was good, and all downhill afterwards.
When I got to the dealership, I was directed to the cashier and she gave me the total, which didn’t sound right. I looked at the invoice and saw they added this mysterious shop fee of $25. The cashier was very nice about it and went and fetched Gerard who came and said they charge shop fees and would get the service manager as he agreed I was not told about it.
The service manager came out and was completely uninterested in talking professional or respectfully to me. Instead he lectured and belittled me stating “all the dealerships charge shop fees.” I have used local Honda dealerships for years and that is not true. His cashier then pointed to a sign that says they charge shop fees. I said “This was my first time using Anderson and since my interaction was a nighttime drop off and a phone conversation, how would I have read this sign?” I continued “I may have just had my car serviced somewhere else” because their price was high anyway and I only did it out of convenience. He replied “you’d go somewhere else over $25? I’m charging you the $25.” So that was the shakedown. They are charging me a fee I knew nothing about as Gerard didn’t tell me and I can’t have my car unless I pay.
The service manager is a cold person totally uninterested in customer service. This was by far my worst Honda dealership experience ever. If they treat customers like this, one has to wonder how well they really treat the car.

I had been looking for a reasonably price car for the last three months mostly through the internet. I went into David Wheeler to make an appointment for my wife's Honda Odyessy. While there I bumped into Greg Phillips a salesman I had known for a while. He asked if I was still looking for a vehicle? I was. I told him what I had been looking for was a hardtop/covertible. He advised they had just gotten one in and I should take a look. The vehicle was what I wanted. We test drove the vehicle and went back to the dealership. I advised at the time my wife had to see the vehicle before I would make a committment and we set up a time to come back. In the meantime he had taken my information for the paperwork. I located my wife sooner than the appt. and called Greg to advise we would be right back. He put a tag on the car again so my wife could take a ride. We came back did the paperwork, worked out a couple minor problems and agreed to pick up the vehicle in two hours. When we return Greg had had the car detailed, gassed and ready to go. John Ireland had all the paperwork ready and we were done in about thirty minutes. Both these gentlemen were as helpful and courteous as any could be. I would highly reccomend them to anyone in the area who was about to purchase a vehicle. The next day I had my wife's car serviced and the service in that dept. was also excellent.
