We could not have been more pleased with the outstanding service provided by our salesman, Mark Fishman, when we traded in our 2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L for a brand new 2022 model. His welcoming, congenial approach to our needs was proficiently complimented by his knowledge and professionalism. Additionally, we want to commend Jared Wright for his charming personality while efficiently processing the paperwork for our purchase. Thank you Mark and Jared for a very pleasant and rewarding experience. Love the new Odyssey!

Car has less than 13000 on it, started it this morning,... - Castellanox7
Car has less than 13000 on it, started it this morning, and every warning light is on, and I've lost power steering. I call up Shockley and tell them this, and they say "What if we see you in three days?"
Not, "We can get you in, diagnose it, and then we'll have to wait", not "We're booked up, but you could try XXX" just "See you in three days!"
I'm glad I wasn't actually stranded anywhere, because I'm sure they wouldn't be sympathetic in the least.

I purchased my new Honda from Eric Sagastizado. He and the staff made the experience quick and enjoyable. This is my 5th Honda of 8 vehicle purchases. The whole dealership team reminded me why I'm loyal to the brand. No gimmicks, no gas. Their professionalism seemed effortless.

DO NOT GO TO OURISMAN HONDA BETHESDA. Mother’s car was parked out front by service team with key in the car. Car was stolen. They are asking my mom to come out of pocket over $5k for a VEHICLE THEY LOST to cover their loss from instance check and cost of car. This should be their loss not ours . This is ridiculous. The sales manager was dismissive and nasty.

Worst experience I have ever experienced from the sale... - seziemefe
Worst experience I have ever experienced from the sale and finance team. Purchased Honda Accord for my son at the online quoted price, which was solid but everything has been downhill from there. Sale staff was very unfriendly when we showed up at the dealership, it almost seemed that they do not want to sell us the car.
Currently dealing with the finance person, Dustin, regarding the $500 recent graduate incentive for my son, claimed it was rejected by Honda Financial Service. I have had to call Honda Financial twice. First time, I was told to inform him to resubmit it and the second time (after a two week interval) that it was approved.
Dustin still claimed it was rejected, was very unprofessional and rude on the phone and threatened to withhold my tags. Requested to speak to a manager several times but no call back yet. Very bad customer service.
Please be careful! We took our car here for routine... - PortionControlJoel
Please be careful! We took our car here for routine maintenance and we now have a nightmare.
They returned our car back to us not once but TWICE in a condition that was unsafe to drive. The first time my wife went to drive it home and could not accelerate when she pulled out. So dangerous! She could have been in an accident. We returned the car immediately and they gave it back to us stating it was a software issue. Again, we tried to leave the lot and the car would not accelerate and making noises. This time we couldn't even get out of the parking spot. They gave us a rental as they were closing and called us in the morning claiming the tech filled the transmission fluid over 2 quarts low. Based on the noises and performance, I'm skeptical there was any fluid at all.
We are now concerned they have done damage to the transmission by allowing it to be driven with low fluid. We brought our concerns to the manager but they have offered nothing to fix their mistake other than saying no damage was done, expecting us to take their word for it and quoting us the factory warranty. They responded to our requests for an extended warranty on their work or to cover costs of an independent inspection by letting us know that they will no longer cover the rental and that we needed to pick up the car.
So, we are now without a car since we had to return the rental and have had to pay to have our car towed off their lot so it can be inspected by a transmission specialist. Our kids ride in this car and we don't want to take any chances trusting them... they have already returned an unsafe car to us twice - we won't take a third chance on them.
I guess it's on us for our bad luck choosing to take our car to this shop. I strongly recommend choosing another shop. Mistakes happen and maybe a tech was having a bad day. But to return a car in a dangerous condition to us twice, possibly causing permanent damage and then refusing to rectify in any way is totally unacceptable.
Please don't do what we did and ignore the reviews of... - tracymueller7
Please don't do what we did and ignore the reviews of this place!! My husband and I purchased a 2020 Honda CR-V from them last night and this was easily our worst car buying experience EVER. Prior to arriving, we had a great experience with our saleswoman who had two models of the vehicle we were interested in pulled up to the front awaiting our arrival at our request. We quickly decided on which one we wanted and began the paperwork. This is where is started to go downhill. We repeatedly mentioned in text, email and person that we were not interested in financing as we already had it line up through our credit union. When we began, questions about what our rates, payments, etc would be, started. I again reminded our saleswoman we had financing line up and weren't interested in this and she stated these questions were just part of the paperwork and were required of her to ask. While chatting politely with us, she brought some paperwork for us to begin signing and told us both it was the standard papers to get the ball rolling. Our mistake was not paying more attention and instead trusting her. After waiting well over an hour, we were finally taken back to finance and after signing papers there and waiting for the finance representative to call to our credit union and verify the check, I decided to go through my email. Imagine my surprise to see an alert from Credit Karma telling me I had a new hard inquiry on my report. I opened my account and lo and behold, Pohanka Honda had run credit checks on both myself and my husband despite us stating no credit was needed. The on duty manager had come into the room at this point to assist the finance person with something so I asked why a credit check was performed without our consent and after a moment of appearing flustered, he began to rifle through our papers and pulls out the forms our sales person told us were just "standard papers". in tiny writing on the bottom in a very large paragraph, it states by signing, we are applying for credit and authorizing them to run credit checks. This didn't sit well with either of us. The manager began to stumble through an explanation stating it was the general managers policy to run credit checks on everyone who buys a car just incase their bank check doesn't clear. When further questioned, he then stated it was because of 9-11 and the federal law requires them to do it to prove we are who we say we are and that we aren't terrorists. What he was referring to is the Patriot Act. Anyone with a slight knowledge of the Patriot Act knows this doesn't require or allow car dealerships to run a credit check on customers. We argued rather heatedly with him over the topic and at one point he told the finance lady since we were "bending him over a barrel" to just cancel our sale. At this point, all papers had been signed, the check had been authorized and filled out with all of their information. I was more than thrilled to do this and to this very minute wish we would have, but my husband just wanted the whole thing to be over. We walked out of there with not only a godawful experience, but also with a car that in the grand scheme of things, wish we wouldn't have bought from them and we are now looking into our options with hiring an attorney for their unlawful practice of running credit checks on unsuspecting customers. Please, please, please, read all the reviews of this place and think twice before dealing with them.
service visit for an oil change which took 3 hours... - terrisuebrtn48
service visit for an oil change which took 3 hours without explanation or contact with tech. Every hour I had to ask tech what was happening, no appropriate explanation given. Car was found in the back after my request to leave and no one notified that oil change completed. No paperwork done nor a car wash. Still don't know general status of my tires, brakes etc. which I asked for answers. No one has contacted me for the severe poor service. After more than 5 years going for service here I will not return.

**UPDATE TO PRIOR REVIEW**
We recommend going straight to Kerry Dillard, General Sales Manager, if you have any questions, concerns, or complaints - and we recommend doing so AS SOON AS any of these arise. Contact him directly (we can't say this strongly enough), and you will learn that he cares about customers' experience at Darcars Honda. You will also learn that there may be alternatives to resolving your issue to which other sales staff may not have access.

Not a bad experience, but nothing special. I spoke to a couple different salesmen so it was kind of confusing. I feel like I got a good price for the car I purchased but it was disappointing that they did not honor the discounts the website portrayed (recent college grad and dealership fee price on website). Double check the financing information and numbers they give you because there were some mistakes made in the financing department that had to be corrected.
Overall, not bad buying experience, but could have been better.
