Didn’t have advertised new car; spent 2.5 hours trying to sell me what I didn’t want while the appraiser would have my trade in offer “very soon”. Finally agreed to consider a used vehicle from Naperville location just to force the trade in offer. RIDICULOUS trade offer. And odometer was up 8 miles from their appraiser!!! Walked up to the appraiser asked for my keys and walked out when I saw the joke of the offer. Manager followed me to lot and was trying to sell at me keeping me from pulling out. Bought what I wanted from Napleton Kia in Elmhurst; offered 47% more (a fair offer) on trade. Unfortunate that I had to drive 40 minutes to Elmhurst for the service I expected 2 miles from my home.
The ONLY reason I didn’t give this dealership one star is I purchased a used vehicle with my daughter last year and they were great; the salesperson we worked with then, Jordan, left the dealership tho he’s still listed on this site. Buying a car (2013 Chevy Cruze) from Federico Kia has been the worst experience I have ever had in buying a car. I understand I bought a used car with 130,000 miles on it. But I also understand that I spent $9,000 of my hard earned money at a supposedly reputable dealership. From day one I have had issues with the car, but keep getting told there is nothing wrong with it. Just because there are no check engines lights popping up doesn't mean the car doesn't have issues. I firmly believe someone knows what is wrong with it, but doesn't want to fix it. The car was supposed to be for my wife that is a Registered Nurse in Jerseyville. However, she hasn't been able to drive it because of the various issues. So I have to rush home from work in the afternoon, so she can drive it to work midnights. So being down to one car has caused a huge inconvenience. The cars issues range from sluggish shifting between 35-45 mph, a click sound that results in a big puff of smoke out the tailpipe, to losing oil but not on the ground. However, my wife and I have repeated told a Courtney, Daulton, and then a Danielle to no avail. This situation has caused a lot of needless stress and inconvenience.

This past monday we brought our vw atlas cross sport back in because of a front end vibration/shimmy. We have had the car in there at least 2 other times for this, starting in January of 2021. No one can seem to duplicate it. However, this past monday, magically it was duplicated only to be told the tires were cupping.....(remember its been in there at least two times since january and no one said a word about the tires) These are 60,000 mile tires with only 21,000 miles on them. They told me that I would have to pay for the tires myself. Talk about shady. 2 weeks before this appointment they couldnt find a thing and now they want me to spend over $700 on tires. The front end vibration/shimmy has been there since we bought the car (not to mention they didn't pay the loan off right away and we had to make additional payments on a car we didn't even own anymore) but we are expected to pay for tires that should still be good or they should stand behind the vehicles they sale. I will be taking this elsewhere to have it looked at. So buyers beware, they cant pay off loans on time and the service department is ridiculous.

Wow be VERY VERY CAREFUL. I GOT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD PRICE BUT THEY SNUCK IN OVER 5000.00 WORTH OF EXTRas very sneaky. Told them wanted 400.00 payment because my last car loan had high interest my credit has gotten great but didn't expect a lower interest rates. Actually got a decent loan rates but what I didn't know before signing they snuck in a 699.00 motor club a 3100.00 added service contract and a 1027.00 tire wheel protection plan. Without those my payment would have been 80.00 less per month. At signing didn't show me the price of these plans and also didn't ask if I wanted them when signing just said this is Part of your warranty this is another page to your warranty. VERY VERY SNEAKY AND UNETHICAL. LOve my car but they turned a 17000.00 car into a 23000.00 car all without asking. Well they lost at least 5 sales j was sending that way. My salesman angel was nice but the dealership very dishonest adding things without asking and misrepresenting them. BEWARE

I went to this dealership to look at a truck that was advertised at 19,990.00 as an "internet special" price. It was a Ford F150 pickup with a little under 110,000 miles.
Upon arrival I test drove another truck that was on the lot because the Ford was still on the truck. It was a gmc that was very similar but a bit newer. It had a great deal of cosmetic blimishishing and the check engine light was on along with many warnings flashing across the odometer warning of a need for service. The truck was okay but no where near the value they were asking.
The Ford finally became available as it had finally rolled off the back of the semi trailer. I test drove it and it seamed a great deal nicer of a truck than the other even though it was dirty and also had check engine lights on. I decided to go in and talk to the sales rep who infact seemed like a cgood individual.
After a bit of normal banter he went off to get a price. Laughing at my self at the moment he returned with a price that was 7000 dollars higher than the internet sales pice. It included a paint protection package on a already rusting vehicle and a rubber matt package with th McGrath name on it even though there were weather tech floor mats already in the truck. I could go on about the BS.
One of the fees was an " Illinois Documentation fee" which is not legally required at all but rather just an add on most dealerships do. This is not an ILLINOIS Documentation fee at all but rather a dealer fee. It is not required. It is the dealer adding profits. You are not required on a state level or federal level to pay this.
Bottom line is the dealer used car sales manager is a modern day con artist. He post prices on the internet to get you to drive there. Once you are there he jacks the price up with fees that are not required in order to get you to settle for a lower price that is far above the price you drove there for. This dealership preys on people that are unsuspecting. Don't buy a car here.
I used to sale cares for several dealership a decade or so ago. They are crooks. I bought a car 2 hrs later from another dealership that was below their advertisement price. It was the same model year with about 30000 less miles. Don't waste your time at McGrath. They are old fashioned carpet baggers. They are just here to swendal you.

Where to start... it is bad enough to get a recall on a car, but when it takes four hours to put in a part, just to be told that you need something else and it has to be ordered???? I live 1.5 hours from dealership, they ordered the part my car needed, they called when it came in, I called the next day to make an appointment. It was scheduled and seemed good. I was called 3 more times about making an appt. The third call they said they were going to send the part back if I didn't respond. What??? I called for a week, could not get a human to answer the phone. I finally called SCHEDULING again to make an appt. I explain the situation and the girl puts me on hold to call service to see what is happening, she comes back and says she is sorry, no one answered. No kidding!! She says she will leave a message and if they don't call me, the service manager would call. No surprise, I did not get a call. Fast forward to today, my Husband takes my car to get the part put on, 2.5 hours later they finally come out and say the part is defective and another will need to be ordered. Omg!!! My Husband asked about the back up camera not working and would this part be fixing that, the answer was no. So he asked how to get it fixed. He was told they don't make that part anymore, but we could order one to be found and refurbished. It takes 3 to 10 days to get the part. When they call you, you have 5 days to get it installed, or you will be charged 300.00. The guy asked if he wants to schedule the service and my Husband says when will the part be here, the guy says he doesn't know, but you only have 5 days, or you will be charged. Ok, remember we live 1.5 hours away and both work full time jobs. They went around this bush for a while until it was laughable and my Husband left. This is such a joke of customer service!!

I originally bought my first car here -a brand new kia soul - when I was younger. That is what convinced me to come back to this dealership. Everything has changed. Upon entering, I was planning on buying a brand new Kia k5 for the asking price of $24,000+. I was hoping to negotiate and bring them down to $23,000. During the test drive, the dealer was explaining how he hasn't sold any cars at "sticker price" all year. Nevertheless, we could probably work something out. We we returned, he went to sum up the cost of the k5 that I was interested in - $28,900. I was flabbergasted; he said there are dealer fees and many other things that added up to that amount - most of which I had no interest in. After consideration, I was determined to buy a Sorento since it was only going to be a few grand more ( $32,000). They were extremely bothered with my change of heart, and kept ignoring my request for a quote on the Sorento until I made it clear I would not pay over $25,000 on a K5. At this point, the manager arrived. He gave me a price quote for the Sorento - $36,000. Ultimately, they were extremely rude, and pushy with their pricing. The prices you see online, you will not be seeing in person. There is no 0 dollars down, or 0 percent financing for the X amount of months. This whole place is a sham. I recommend Willow brook Kia, I went there and the salesmen were very hospitable and honest. The price online is what I was offered - $22,000 for a USED 2019 Sorento with 25,000 miles on it. They sold it as certified pre-used after negotiating with the bank and dropping my APR by roughly 2 percent less than Evergreen. I left with a new car from Willowbrook Kia, and I will never go back to Evergreen's dealership again.
