Well, I have to replace my engine after 140K in under 4 years. I put a lot of miles on that car. I even bought this car at Piazza in Ardmore back in October 2017. Great car. Fast, Responsive. But when the engine light starts to pop off one too many times, be prepared to open up your wallet. My model jetta was the first model year after Dieselgate. I loved everything about this car. I loved when the turbo kicked in. I loved the sunroof. The Carplay was better than any other Audi or Porsche that I have seen on the market. I am underwater on the car loan. I have to get the car fixed. The engines seem to be cheap for a 2016 Jetta. Before you buy a car from this lot, take it to a your own mechanic and have them run a review on it.. Also, do a deep dive on the VIN number of the vehicle because CarFax has it's limitations. The blame should stop at the manufacturer. However, Are the mechanics overworked in the service department Are the service managers pressured? The service managers were pretty friendly, they get 5 stars. The GM VW in 2017 at the dealer gets 1 star. The Mechanics- 0 stars. Go with your intuition on the car that you own. Research a mechanic. I give this place a 1.5 stars out of 5 stars.

My old VW dealer (Day, in Monroeville) closed, so I tried Cochran South Hills. I went to cochranvw.com and did an online chat with "Chat Professional" Alysse. I asked her if the parts department had G12 A8FA4 coolant in stock, that I could buy for my Passat wagon. She said "Our manager will get back to you as soon as possible". I gave her a phone number and email address. Two days went by and I received no call or email, so I chatted with them again, got Alysse again, mentioning the lack of response, asked if it was possible for them to contact me within the next hour. She again said "as soon as possible". After waiting a couple hours with no message from Cochran, I contacted another dealer, Sendell. Sendell had it in stock, so I bought it there. Cochran South Hills just lost a potential new customer.

Uneven experience. Sale went smoothly, but then discovered a patched hole in passenger seat on a brand new car that the salesman covered as he was sitting on it. To give some credit, that finally got resolved. Then, it turned out the sunshade was ripped and wouldn’t close. Warranty covered that, but it wasn’t demoed during the sale. Were they hiding that, too? Then, we asked for a delivery invoice so we could arrange (on our own) for a warranty repair on a failed promo item that was part of the sale. We couldn’t get it repaired without a proof of purchase, and they would not respond to numerous calls and emails. Beware of declining customer service and unresponsive staff. Very disappointing.

Instead of explaining what the part that needs to be replaced is and what it does the answer is "it reads things and is bad" When asked about tires failing inspection the advisor could not even explain tread depth. No tdi techs and most of the other techs literally have no idea what they are doing. Beware, do not shop or service at this place. I have no idea how they still have a Volkswagen franchise.

I Am in sales myself and to provide great service to your customers is how you sell yourself and your product. I did an internet inquiry for one of their vehicles, when i called the dealership on 2/22 at 10:15 this morning mike leber was responsive at first, I quickly gathered all of the required information He asked for as i was interested in a virtual appraisal due to my work schedule and living 2 HOURS AWAY. He said he would pass my info into their used vehicle manger who then took 4 hours to get back to me. As soon as I called and said, if I were there in person I wouldn’t be waiting in your lobby for 4 hours so can we get some numbers please he quickly had them to me within 15 minutes. Apparently they do take internet inquiries seriously so don’t waste your time here. It was then I spoke with Mike leber who directed me to their financing department and said he’s have some numbers send over to me which never happened AND THEN I reached out asking for an update and he replies, oh a couple came in to look at the vehicle I’ll keep you posted, and some worry we didn’t check your credit. HOWEVER I HAVE A CREDIT INQUIRY ALERT FROM EXPERIAN. Stating otherwise. So clearly we have some clearing Up to do here. I reached out and had all information submitted by 1145 today and at 630 they let another couple have rank on the vehicle my credit report was checked for. UNREAL
