I had a very good experience overall with New Motors Subaru, and my salesperson Tony Confer. A little back story is I was looking to trade both my wife's car and my car in on one new car in order to decrease my overall car count. I went to a few other dealerships in the area to shop, and was immediately pressured into having both cars there to appraise before they even wanted to show me any new cars. When I inquired with New Motors Subaru, i was greeted at the door by my internet sales contact, who handed me off to Tony to get the ball rolling. I told him what I was looking to accomplish, and he took notes. I fully expected at this point to be hassled about getting both cars there for appraisals. To my surprise, I was told we would worry about that stuff later, first we were going to decide if I even liked any of my options on new Subaru's. We proceeded to look at and drive several cars. Tony had a very good test drive route mapped out that had a good mix of all the kinds of roads I was going to be travelling on frequently. He was knowledgeable of the product, believed in it, and seemed genuinely excited to have the opportunity to sell someone on the Subaru product. After we got back from our test drives, we discussed a few numbers and decided that we were in a good enough position to move forward and bring in my wife's car for an appraisal. I brought that car in the next day and got the appraisal, agreed on a price and got the credit applications submitted. Due to it being near the end of business Friday, we left, expecting to hear what our financing options would be on Saturday morning. Tony called on Saturday morning with the word that everything was approved, saying we could come pick up our new car whenever we would like. When we arrived at the dealership, the new car was already detailed, had a full tank of gas, and was parked out front sitting pretty waiting on us. We quickly sat down with the finance guy, signed our papers and were on our way. I have bought a number of new and used cars, and this was by far the smoothest experience i have ever had. There was very minimal haggling, and what little there was, was done quickly. I never felt like my time was being wasted with any sort of gamesmanship. At the end of the day, I was very pleased with the level of professionalism displayed by everyone I encountered at New Motors Subaru.

I received notice in the mail that there were some recalls on my car and I needed to bring it to a dealership to be fixed. Since I just recently moved to PA, I wasn't sure what Volkswagen dealership to use...so like most people I looked on the internet to find the closest one to my house and then crossed my fingers that they were good. From the very beginning, contacting the service department, to the very end, picking up my vehicle, they were fantastic. Very nice, helpful, thorough, easy to work with.

It was a very nice facility, everything was done promptly, Kevin helped me and figured out every question I had asked about the brz and wrx. He also did everything he could to work with me getting it in my budget. The next day I noticed a small dent in the hood I called and Kevin had it taken care of right away. Copied from my VW satisfaction survey: I cannot praise enough Volkswagen State College’s Sales Manager, Mike McKay and the first class operation he helps run. I felt like I was dealing with friends through the entire process of buying my 2017 Passat SE with Technology Package. I had been negotiating with several dealerships in PA, but Mike single handedly earned my business with his prompt and honest responses, as well as his genuine and charismatic personality. They had my paper work ready in no time and Audi Finance Manager, Ellen Fryer, walked me through all of my options and she gladly clarified anything I was unsure of. Ellen also explained and sold me on the extended warranties/protection plans without being aggressive or using misleading tactics like I've encountered at other dealerships. As an outbound call center manager I understand, appreciate, and admire ethical customer service while remaining a successful sales organization in industries where a few bad people have made an overall negative reputation for the good companies like us. I was offered a fair price without having to haggle or worry there were going to be hidden fees, Mike was upfront and honest while disclosing everything I needed to know before I even walked in the door. There was never any pressure to buy, and my time and concerns were always respected and addressed immediately. The whole experience from beginning to end was seamless, painless, and completely enjoyable. I have done nothing but rave about Mike and Ellen, and will continue to encourage potential buyers (cars.com, autotrader...etc) to contact them, I guarantee they will be willing to travel to purchase a car like I did.
