"Nice and clean facility with clear communication, but overpriced service." The facility itself is nice and clean, and the staff provided clear communication throughout the process. However, I am not satisfied with the service pricing. I own another luxury SUV that is more expensive than my Elantra. When I’ve had similar services performed at that brand's dealership, the total was actually less than the estimate Hyundai provided. Because of the high cost, I had to decline some of the recommended services and only proceed with what I wanted to proceed at Hyundai. It makes no sense why servicing an Elantra would be more expensive than a higher-end vehicle. While I am happy with the quality of service provided and will continue to visit for certain needs, I will be taking my car to a different local shop for other required fluid exchange services due to these high costs.

Understandably, we were anxious to find a replacement as quickly as possible. We considered Mazda, Toyota, Honda, Ford, and Hyundai. After test-driving the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited, my daughter knew it was the vehicle she wanted. Since we live in Fairfax, we contacted and visited nearly every Hyundai dealership in Northern Virginia searching for a white Tucson Hybrid Limited with a gray interior. Unfortunately, several dealerships told us over the phone that they had the vehicle, only for us to arrive and hear that it had “just sold”—or, in some cases, learn that they had never had it at all and were simply trying to get us into the showroom. Sheehy Hyundai was the most disappointing. They assured us they had the vehicle, but after we made the drive and explained the exact color combination we wanted, they quickly dismissed us when they realized it was not on their lot. Every dealership seemed interested only in selling us something they already had in inventory. That completely changed when we arrived at Pohanka Hyundai. Rod warmly welcomed us and genuinely listened to what we were looking for: a white Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited with a gray interior. Instead of trying to convince us to settle for another vehicle, Rod and Luis Lemus immediately went to work locating the exact Tucson my daughter wanted. Within 30 minutes, they told us they had found one and could have it ready for us that evening. My daughter completed the paperwork and applied for 100% financing online. When we returned that evening, the vehicle was ready. We completed the transaction with Joann Nolta in approximately 10 minutes, and Rod was waiting out front to personally deliver the car. The entire process was professional, efficient, honest, and completely stress-free. Rod, Luis, and Joann turned what had been a frustrating search into one of the easiest car-buying experiences we have ever had. I wish buying a new vehicle were this simple at every dealership. We brought our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe (160,000 miles) to Jones’ Hyundai after the engine suddenly seized due to metal shavings in the oil pan—a known issue that led to a Hyundai recall. We maintained the vehicle exactly per the manufacturer’s specifications, so we assumed Hyundai would stand behind their product. Instead, we learned about the recall after the fact, because Hyundai never notified us. When we contacted Hyundai Corporate, including Niveditha (Hyundai Corp representative), we were told that despite the recall they would not cover the full replacement cost—the best they could offer was a 70/30 split. We reluctantly agreed because we needed the vehicle back, but it felt like we were being held financially hostage over a known defect. It gets worse. Both Hyundai Corporate and Jones’ Hyundai repeatedly referred to the replacement vehicle as a “loaner.” At no point, did anyone disclose that this was actually a rental for which we would be financially responsible. Once our Santa Fe was ready, suddenly we were informed that we were being charged for the rental fees. There is a very clear difference between a loaner (provided by the dealership at no charge while warranty/recall work is completed) and a rental (at the customer’s expense). Referring to a rental as a “loaner” is not a misunderstanding—it is misrepresentation. We trusted Hyundai and Jones’ Hyundai to handle a recall ethically and transparently. Instead, we experienced: Lack of notification on a serious safety recall Refusal to fully cover a defect-caused engine failure Misleading communication about a “loaner” vehicle Surprise charges after the work was completed This has been the most frustrating, misleading, and frankly dishonest dealership/manufacturer interaction we’ve ever had. A recall exists to protect consumers—not to create opportunities to shift costs and play word games. Hyundai had an opportunity to make this right. Instead, they showed us exactly how little they value their customers. We will never go to Jones again for anything, and we will warn others accordingly.

Horrible service all around! I will never purchase another vehicle from Winner Hyundai. I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and the salesperson never disclosed the ongoing paint issue. So within a year my paint was peeling of my roof. I received very little assistance until I made contact with Hyundai Corporate whom I'm still dealing with. They offered to pay for 75% of the paint job which was unacceptable being they're putting the same faulty paint back on. I had an issue with my engine light coming on and I take it to see what's going on but my mechanic said it needed a software update. WHAT??! The car was then taken to Winner Hyundai and they said they couldn't get my vehicle in until the end of March. The lady assisting was rude and had no business dealing with customers. From now on I will be getting names of everyone I deal with. So I'm supposed to drive this car with the engine light on for a month. I do not recommend ANYONE purchasing a Hyundai. They don't value their customers.
