So long story short (not really)
They fixed it! On December 23rd my wife's car overheated, This had happened previously in March, And we took it to a local shop who replaced the water pump and thermostat. So here we are again, But this time at the right shop! Upon arrival our customer service Tech (William) asked a series of questions in reference to the history of the vehicle And explained due to the history they would need to do a head gasket or block test to ensure that the motor was not damaged. A few hours later I received a call stating that it had failed the block test and they would need to do a tear down to inspect the extent of the damage. Potentially a new motor may be needed😖😫 The cost of the teardown would be $600 and needed my approval to start. The following afternoon William called me and stated that during the tear down the mechanic noticed that the thermostat that had been installed was not the proper thermostat! He then installed a OEM approved thermostat and reinitiated a new block test and it passed! This company went way above and beyond! They already had approval for a teardown and potentially a very expensive new motor! In the world that we live in and you know what I mean this is very hard to find! After this experience I will not take my vehicle to anybody else and in the near future I will be purchasing a vehicle from them Guaranteed. Nice work William and everybody involved the mechanic did more than he had to And it is appreciated more than you will ever know! God bless and have a Happy New Year.
