I went thru the internet as I didn't want to waste a day sitting around the dealership. Told them I was looking at 1 car but was open to others and where I wanted my payments to be. The car I was looking at was too much but they told me another car just came in that they could make work, to come in. So after an 18 hour shift I went in, test drove and said I'd take it. 2 hours later, the payments were not where I told them I needed them to be. Was not happy wasting my time. Went through an outside lender and got my payments right. Bought it the next business day. The internet people were awesome. Erica and Chelsea were helpful and seemed genuinely interested in putting me in a car. They looked around, communicated effectively and found the car I ultimately purchased. The salesman that got the commission didn't even introduce himself. I've bought around 10 new cars in my life. This is the 2nd used one. First one from this dealer. When the time comes to buy a new one, Erica or Chelsea, if they're still employed in the same capacity, will be the only reasons I return.

I referred this dealership to several friends and co-workers the day after I purchased my vehicle. This is not the first time I purchased a vehicle from Don Hewlett. My first experience was in 2006. That experience was identical to this experience in that I researched vehicles online, was immediately contacted by a salesman, and followed up with a visit to the dealership. From that first internet contact to closing the deal, I felt as if I was the only customer they had. Here's what I liked about the dealership: Walking into the dealership feels welcoming in that the cars (the product) are on display. I've been in other dealerships where all you see is a bunch of people milling about. Patriotic pictures (including Texana) are on display. As a military veteran, that appealed to me. Everything is immaculately clean and in good repair. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me promptly. Carl Staves, who started out as my salesman, became my new friend. As a senior citizen, I have purchased many new cars and I abhor the negotiating process. The salesmen always seemed to be the "middle man". I've gotten to the point where I just want to deal with the manager and not have to go through the middle man. However, the industry doesn't work that way. This is the first time I EVER felt like the salesman represented my interests fairly to the manager. I felt like Carl was fighting for me to get the best price possible. Carl did not use clichés like "what can I do to earn your business" or ask "if I can get the price right, are you ready to buy today". Had he done so, it would have interfered with the process because I would have tuned him out. Because he didn't, I felt like an individual being listened to. He took the time to patiently demonstrate features on the car. This is very important because there is so much technology on the vehicle and it can be overwhelming to senior citizens. This example alone is important enough to refer all senior citizens to him to buy their next new car. After the purchase, Carl followed up with me several times to ensure I had everything I needed and to answer questions, which of course I had. This proves that the sale doesn't stop once the contract is signed. The finance personnel, Jeff Grazioplene and Buddy Shepperd, were great and did not resort to high pressure sales tactics. Neither did they "sulk" when I declined their products. I purchased accessories from Jerred and he was very informative about the products and also offered fair pricing. I would like to add that I do not live near this dealership but the way I was treated and the price I got - including the price of my trade-in vehicle - was worth the distance it took to drive there. This purchase was an expensive one and the most important thing I can say is that the deal was great, I was treated fairly, and I walked away a very happy customer. Happy customers make more happy customers.

I call to service my 2007 Chevy Suburban and got an early appointment. Arrived and spoke to Michael. he was very courteous and patient with me, listening to explanation of the issues in my truck. He assured me that they would take good care of it. He also noted that he will come back to explain what the mechanics find before starting work on it. He did return after about 30 minutes and took his time to explain what needs to be done and the cost for each. He explained what was necessary and what we could leave as is. We reviewed the costs together and I made the decision. The truck was later brought out well done. I fell very happy with the services I received from the Dealership, especially given that I bought the truck from them in 2013 and never went back for services. I have been to several service centers but Heritage GMC at Rockwall made me feel at home and also very comfortable with the service. Michael Jordan is a great Representative and is sure to see me the next time for my service.
