Earlier this year, I had to replace the front windshield - Plasencia50

Earlier this year, I had to replace the front windshield on my 2018 Honda Accord after a freeway incident. To avoid the high cost of going through the dealer (approx. $2,000), I opted for a reputable local installer who did the work using an aftermarket windshield. The work was done well, but I was advised the front camera might need recalibration. Months later, I received an error that disabled safety features like Brake Assist, so I brought the car to Diamond Honda on June 21, 2025, for a camera recalibration. Despite being unable to complete the recalibration, they still charged me the full $582. They claimed the windshield installer incorrectly placed the camera brackets, though this was not conclusively proven. Regardless, I don’t think it’s fair to charge full price for a service that wasn't successfully performed. The windshield installer (who was surprised Honda charged me at all) then had the recalibration professionally redone elsewhere for $350—which fully fixed the issue within a few hours. I returned to Diamond Honda on June 27 to request a refund. I waited 30 minutes (after being told it would be just 5) before meeting with their Service Director, Oscar Ramirez. Unfortunately, he came across as defensive and dismissive. Rather than showing understanding, he implied I should’ve expected problems because I didn’t have the work done by Honda. Ultimately, he agreed to a partial refund of $350, but only after making me wait another two weeks to prove the issue didn’t return—and requiring another scan of my vehicle. I came back on July 11 with no error codes present. However, the experience was even worse this time. I waited nearly an hour before even being acknowledged, and nearly three hours total just to get the promised refund. I never even spoke with Oscar—he walked by me multiple times without any acknowledgment. The lack of communication and courtesy was glaring. While I understand service departments can be busy, the lack of empathy, accountability, and professionalism I experienced from Diamond Honda has made it clear that I won’t be returning. I’m sharing this so others can make a fully informed decision before choosing to do business here.

After months of looking, and deciding to get a Honda vehicle. I found what I was looking for at this dealer. They are a nice set of folks, my sales guy Amir, was kind and understanding in what I was looking for in a car, he was very helpful. His manager Tony, really nice man, helped me a lot in getting the best price, kind and professional. You can tell everyone likes working there. My experience purchasing a Honda at this dealership was exceptional. My first contact with Estaban was positive, we told him what we needed. He was informed. We showed him the lower price listed on line and he directed us to the manager Bilal. He said he would match the price. He went on to give us discounts on the service and support contract. He helped us set up insurance at a cheaper arte, helped us get our rental picked up and gave us the same intereest as one we had established with USAA....I cannot think of one negative issue....TOTAL happiness and support.

This was by far the easiest and absolute best car buying experience I've ever had. I usually dread visiting car lots and being chased around by dealers, or even worse being ignored because I'm not dressed sharp enough! (I'm talking about you cerritos nissan!) Well this was much different, we got to browse the cars on our own and when we were ready, we were warmly greeted by Frank, our salesman. He pointed out all the great features on the Civic we were considering and then we took it on a test drive. He never tried to talk us into a more expensive model, or adding a bunch of extras, he just let us get the model we wanted and gave us a great price we couldn't refuse. When it came to the paper work, it was smooth sailing and their financing even beat our credit unions interest rate. We were then sent to Art who patiently explained our contracts and additional warranty coverage, and got to watch us sign all of our official documents. He never made us feel like big idiots if we didn't consider additional coverage. (I'm talking to you again cerritos nissan!) We were also congratulated many times by various sales people, including Richard the sales manager. This is a dealership who knows the Honda name sales itself and won't try to pressure you in any way. Therefore I highly recommend Community Honda of Whittier! You rock!!!
