It started on the day when we reached out to the dealership to look at the advertised vehicle and we were taken care of by Alex right away and left with a piece of mind that we will have our vehicle in a few weeks ( unlike other local dealerships). Otto lied to me about receiving deposit back if I didn’t like the Cross once it came in. Owner Joe doesn’t care about verbal agreement made, says it had to be in writing. Shameful. Do not buy from this dealership. I made a big mistake going there. I tried a used car on the lot before my new car was delivered. I couldn’t take the noise on the highway due to my medical condition so I canceled my delivery which Otto showed me large waitlist for. So he said someone else would get the car right away. Now won’t give the $1,000 deposit.

I dealt with Matt in the body shop. He made the arrangements with the rental car so easy that it was a pleasure having body work. The body shop did an incredible job. I will return for service if I ever need body work. He worked on my Prius Prime which requires another level of expertise.

My wife took her Prius to Girard after the catalytic converter was stolen. From the police photos (see attached), it was clear that the wire to the oxygen sensor was cut (I even had an estimate from the parts dept 2 weeks earlier showing the cost to replace the catalytic converter AND oxygen sensor), BUT Girard had to "inspect" the vehicle. They then charged us $125 and $10 for shop supplies to give us an estimate (also attached) that DID NOT include the oxygen sensor.
Here are some questions for Mr Lenny Galante (service dept manager):
1) How did your technician (A45), service advisor (Hilliary Drexler), and you miss the cut wire to the oxygen sensor?
2) What shop supplies were used when you "inspected" our vehicle? No work was done on our vehicle, so no shop supplies would have been used.
3) We never gave written approval for an estimate over $50. Why do you and your service advisors operate in violation of state law?
4) How long did it take your technician to take photos of the damage? Doesn't a 1-hour diagnostic fee seem excessive?
5) Why did you threaten "storage fees" when you never contacted us after you inspected our vehicle?
6) Why did your technician, service advisor, and you provide a materially deficient estimate which DID NOT include the replacement of the oxygen sensor?
7) How often are "fuel lines damaged" when a catalytic converter is stolen? This was the excuse that your service advisor gave us as to why our vehicle needed to be inspected. Even the insurance adjuster laughed at this explanation.
8) Why did you threaten to charge us "restocking fees" when we never authorized any repairs to be done?
Ultimately, we paid $143 for an estimate that told us less than we already knew from the police photos of the damage. Why would we ever have you or your service department work on any of our vehicles? How can overlook such incompetence and/or willful negligence?

I took my 2005 toyota avalon to norwich charles toyota for a small evap leak. Instead of doing a smoke test they changed a coil pack and a gas cap after i purchased one the month before from them. I was told they that the check engine light might come back on and thats the only way to find the leak smh, But bring it back when when the light comes on then we will be able to find it. Remind u its like $130 or more just to get it diagnosed very close to $200 for that trip. 2nd trip another$130 or over for another diagnose but this time they told me they took the evap canister out and they tested it and thats the problem i need a new evap canister but thats gonna cost almost $900. I wasnt gonna let them rip me off again so i took it to another mechanic and come to find out not only wasnt it the evap canister but that evap canister was never taking out of the car since the factory put it in. So not only did i get charged for 2 evap diagnoses, they never even did any type of evap test on it and never took out the evap canister and tested it like they said. Now it cost me over $1000 to fix parts that wasnt broke and to find out the gas tank is the issue and thats gonna cost another $500 or more.
Your better off bringing your car to a backyard mechanic because charles toyota of norwich Connecticut will have you taking multiple trips and taking your money every time without even looking at your car and fixing the parts thats not broken on your vehicles just to make a buck.
Ps. I even wrote them a email about the situation and its been close to a week if not and no reply, so u know this is common and they dont care about customers just the customers money. They made me give them a star, they dont even deserve that!!

Im so ma, i bought a car from curry toyota in watertown in Dec and they never checked the A/C they just wanted to make a sale, so now that its hot out i realize its not working and now they want to charge me for a diagnostic and whatever cost to fix it I would have never bought this car if I knew the AC wasn't working so I wouldn't recommend buying a car from here and I will never buy a car from here again that's poor advertisement and poor customer service the AC should have come with the car why do I have to pay for it to fix it
