I'm very disappointed with my experience at Kia. I purchase my Sorento 2 years ago with a extended warranty for a peace of mind, but when my vehicle needed service Kia refused to fix the issue even though it's clearly covered under my extended warranty. I trusted this company to stand behind their product and their promises. Instead, I've been met with delays and lies, lack of accountability, and poor customer service. After numerous call to Kia and Kia America(CORPORATE). I still don't have a working vehicle and no clear answers. I expected better from a brand that promotes reliability and customer care. If you are considering buying a Kia or extended warranty, I suggest you think twice. What's the point of a warranty if they refused to honor it. I was told my Kia service that I needed a new engine for my truck yes its used and had 1 own before me but at 50,000 miles and just purchased this truck in September 2023 never even did anything minor to my truck but now I need a engine and Kia is the only company who been changing and checking my oil. I came to Kia in Feb 2025 because one of my coworkers told me he saw fresh oil on the ground when I left from work, Kia told me I had a oil leak I asked them why didn't anyone see that when I was just there getting a oil change . Pay 300 to get the leak fix to back in June2025 saying I need a new engine. I was told my warranty with Kia had expired but I had a extended warranty with wheelz warranty. Okay upset but not as much because I'm still covered. To get a phone call later stated I need yo pay 1500 to Kia for them to take my engine out for the warranty company and I'll be reimburse back once Kia is paid through the extended warranty. Explain to them I do not have 1500 laying around I had to still pay the car-note and insurance ,my mortgage ,etc. Went to Kia September 1500 and was told to just pay 1000 went over to the cashier and pay 1000. Reach out a week later talk to Brian he was all over the place he was telling me they were waiting until the check clear to pay me my money and they had been communication with my boyfriend. At excuse me I don't have no boyfriend Brian then said who is this again I told him my name and he said my truck was next it was 2 cars in front of my truck and he'll give me a call next Tuesday didn't hear from Brian again. I start calling Kia America on 10/3/2025 talk to Lewis explain everything he said he going to reach out send me email he did do that but it was just what we were discussing and telling me to reach out to my extended warranty. call again talk to Ashely very rude did not get any help from call back the following week talk to Kayla very understanding and promise to help. Did not hear anything from Kia or Kia American ,Call back on 10/31/2025 and talk to Amanda was helpful Amanda put me on hold call Kia and talk to Brian the service manager she told me that she was told it was 6 cars in front of me and I've her word she would contact Kia on Wednesday Nov 5 for a update on my truck and then contact me ..HAHA jokes on me I having hear from Amanda. Call yesterday on Nov 6 and talk to Brian who then told me he's waiting in my extended warranty to get back to him . I'm extremely xxxx because you can keep lying to me and have took my 1000 . I then let Brian know I talk to the extended warranty company and they told me they haven't not heard from no from Kia about my vehicle since July 18,2025 and my extended warranty for my vehicle had expired on September 21,2025 Brian then said they did not tell him that. 1- WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PAY ANY THING EXCEPT YOUR COPAY WHEN YOU HAVE A WARRANTY. 2- WHY DO I NEED A ENGINE AT 50,000 MILES AND YOU WAS SUPPOSTED TO FOUND THE OIL LEAK BACK IN FEBRUARY THAT I PAID 300 TO GET FIX. 3- HOW DO TAKE SOMEONE'S MONEY AND DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO . My truck has been sitting at Kia dealership since June 18. still paying my car-note but don't have a working vehicle out of 1000 and warranty and no one can tell me anything.
