Simply stated, I believe they seriously tried to rip me - redavide
Simply stated, I believe they seriously tried to rip me off. First, they tried to charge me $600 for a 30,000 mile service even though I had pre-paid for it when I first leased the car from them. When I made the appointment, they correctly told me that their records showed I had already paid for the service and that there would be no charge. However, when I went to pick the car up, they insisted that they had no record of my prepayment and made me pay $600 for the servicing. Then I found the original receipt at home and sent it to them. They took around 3-4 weeks to "process the refund." Additionally, when I picked the car up, they told me that the technician said that the car needed a brake job for a cost of $1,600. I declined and the next time I brought the car to my local mechanic, several thousand miles later, he told me that the brakes weren't even close to needing a brake job and had at least 25,000 miles left on them.
So, the long and the short of it is that they wrongly tried to get $2,200 out of me in a single visit. Obviously, I never went back.
