Wednesday of August 14th I experienced the best car buying experience I’ve had. Robin, Austin and Wayne are true professionals and committed to their job. They earned my trust and respect immediately. There was no doubt in my mind that these guys were just trying to make a sale, all of them are very cool dudes and went over everything thoroughly with me. The time I was in there was less than an hour and I left confident knowing that they took care of me. I was blown away how real they were with me and didn’t give me the cheesy salesman pitch I was so used to. After this experience I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in a vehicle to give these guys a call knowing that they will go over numerous options with you till you are completely satisfied. No pressure was felt when I walked in there and will definitely plan to keep my business at Phillips Chevy, Hyundai & RV in Bourbonnais/Bradley. 12/10

Santa Fe is fantastic. She and David set up all the gadgets and walked me through how to use them. Jim explained pros & cons. Also the service department is the best with my adviser Roberta. I brought my car in for a total of 6 recall notices dating back to 2016. They were very prompt to check me in. They performed all the recalls in the timeframe they had given me. When I picked the car up, I received very detailed paperwork on all the work they had performed and additional maintenance work recommended. The checked me out very quickly. Every employee I dealt with was helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. This is a great place to have maintenance and repair work performed on your car. I have been here before and each time this has been my findings. My daughter also has used this dealership many times and has always been pleased with the work they have performed.

We have been buying from this dealership for years, we have purchased about 8 cars from Gerald Hyundai. We have never had a bad experience with them. If we ever needed service (rarely needed it since Hyundai’s are very reliable) they would give us a loaner car for however long we needed! The car buying process with Gerald is extremely easy, even though this is the first brand new car we have bought (all previous have been one year old). We just purchased a 2019 fully loaded Santa Fe AWD for a few thousand dollars off asking. Very competitive pricing, and makes sure your always taken care of. We had gone to Elgin Hyundai and they were in the process of selling a car that we asked to pull aside. They claimed it was a Certified on their website with picture saying it was, but we found out we needed to pay about $2,000 to do so. We then found out it had been in a severe accident, so they can’t certify it? So I would recommend not going to Elgin Hyundai and instead go to Gerald! (Always ask for Brian York!)

Ziggy, George and Antonio understood my situation and worked together to find a reasonable solution. My credit score was not good but that did not stop them from finding a way to work with me. Jim Clarkson was who my fiancée and I dealt with when I went to look at trading in my 2012 Equinox in for a 2019 Tucson. To say Jim went above and beyond is an understatement. From talking me through an issue with pricing and my bank on a personal level and offering good advice, to showing me all the bells and whistles and making sure I completely understood EVERYTHING before I even attempted to walk out the door. Made sure I knew where the service center was. Anything and everything you can think of you want the person helping you to do, Jim Clarkson did it and went beyond and above it as well as the rest of the Hyundai staff. Everyone is very personable and friendly. Very clean and comfortable place to be. You don’t feel like you need to keep your hands off the table for fear of dirtying it type of place. 10/10 will recommend Napletons and especially Mr. Clarkson to absolutely everyone.

Bad Sales Tactics, Worse people skills - tcollins
Their Black Friday ad was misleading, and they refused to honor their stated special. They were technically not false advertising, so if they chose not to honor the ad fine, lots of dealers do that. The sales manger Chris Green came over to speak to us and told us we were confused about what the ad said, and he claimed it said something other than it did. I told him the only way to get a deal was to honor their ad, and give me fair value for my trade in. They proceeded to offer 10% under KBB, 15% under Edmonds, and 25% under NADA values for my trade. Once the deal was falling thru, and Chris Green was brought over, Chris was very condescending to us, and was clearly very unhappy that I had done my homework before coming into the dealership. We will not be going back to any Green dealership. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Our Sales person William Jones was good an I believe he was caught completely off guard by the bait and switch, condescending sales tactics used by management and Chris Green.

Got yelled at and insuted by "New Car Manager/Sales" Scott June. So to say it was a bad experience would be an understatement, he not only insulted us in the showroom but even chased us down when we left to sit in our car to come and insult and yell at us again.
I have a lease with Patrick Hyundai which I got in 2017, its a 2017 Sante Fe Sport. I told my friend about it and he liked the deal that I have and was interested in the same deal, so I took him to Patrick Hyundai even though many people have told me that Patrick Hyundai is the worst place of all.
We walk in and sales reps are walking by and no one asked if we are looking for a car even though there were sales reps walking on the floor and talking to each other, no big deal. Then we go up to the counter and say we are looking for a lease so can someone help us. They bring the sales rep, we ask for the car which is listed as a new car, only to find that the car we wanted to test drive might have 5K miles on it if we want to lease it, he brings a similar car out, we test drive it and now comes the time to talk numbers.
My 2017 Santa fe was about the same price as the car we test drove. When the sales rep came back with a number which was about $220 higher than what I am paying monthly, we asked to give us the same deal we have on my 2017. He went back and now comes SCOTT JUNE. He walks in, does not introduce himself, no nothing, and says the following "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" not sure what that means. He told us that for every $1000 on the price there is about $30 on the lease, we politely say, its ok if you dont have this deal its ok. SCOTT does not like what we said, so as he is walking he now starts implying that we are lying about the deal that we have. And now he goes to his friends infront of us and is insulting us by practically calling us liars that we pay this much on our 2017 Santa fe. When I tell him that he is being rude he keeps on repeating "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" "MATH DOES NOT CHANGE". I told him he does not have to be rude, instead he can just say that the deal is no longer available. BUT NO how could he, He then challenges me by asking my information so he can pull up my record and prove how I am lying. So I give him my info and he pulls it up, and guess what he is wrong, the deal we were asking is the deal we have right now. So now SCOTT decides to give us some random numbers which have nothing to do with the monthly payment.
Now that we have proven him to be wrong, we decide to leave because now we are getting angry, as we sit in our car to leave, SCOTT decides to come out knock on our window and say "your address has changed too, MATH DOES NOT CHANGE" so as per SCOTT who is apparently in Sales thinks that $220 increase in the lease is because the address has changed, when we know that the increase is about $30.
Needless to Say Scott June is in the wrong business, and Patrick Hyundai is the worst place to shop for cars. If they have this attitude when you are trying to lease from them, imagine how they would treat you when you have their car.
Also I have previously wrote my experiences with oil changes and service with Patrick Hyundai and it has always been bad. So after my lease ends, I am never going back to Patrick Hyundai.

Had windshield replaced at dealership
Needed a new one after it cracked again, had it done at an independent place, come to find out the dealership installed the lowest model windshield in my Ultimate package vehicle.
When I told the manager he asked why didn’t I come back to him to get a new one.
I guess cheating me once wasn’t good enough for them.
Just had a tire rotation, all tires have different air pressure and not by 1lb difference more like 6lb. Never checked air pressure.

The Service Manager, Tony Serpico, and his team made me feel like a special customer. I came in to purchase and get a bed liner installed in my GMC Canyon. Rick Villasenor in the Parts Department found me a Chevy Colorado liner with the same fit for a lot cheaper. They had it installed while I waited and were extra accomodating to make sure I could apply my GMC Rewards points toward the purchase. I will definitely come back here for all my service, and would highly recommend it to others.

Horrible customer service. Sexist, homophobic, uncaring. Service managers do not greet or acknowledge you. It’s just a job to them, not a profession. They don’t care about their customers. Do not buy from Auffenberg Hyundai.

We had a bad experience with Grossinger - so much so I'm here to share it to hopefully help others.
We took our car to a HEART Certified Auto Care after we were told by Loren/Napleton Hyundai that our car was running fine. HEART Certified Auto Care diagnosed the problem. We took the car to Grossinger as we weren't going back to Napleton as they didnt diagnose the problem; they said our problem was "normal" - calling it "turbo lag". We'd use HEART Certified Auto Care (they're great!) for all our repairs yet we have a Hyundai warranty (which we now see is basically useless).
We know our car very well as we use it every day. There are some scratches and scuffs that are normal in a used car. There was no communication during the repair. We had to call every few days to get inaccurate status updates. When we got the car home after nearly a month of warranty repairs, we noticed the bumper - and the car in general - were very dirty; we keep our car in a garage so this was a red flag. Grossinger didn't clean or offer to clean it, and when paid to get cleaned elsewhere, we realized the bumper was badly cracked and scratched - like it had been hit or had something heavy dropped on it; the dirt was hiding the extent of the damage or we certainly would have shown Grossinger the issue before we left the lot. When we took the car back to have Grossinger's techs see the damage, the service director blamed us and angrily accused us of tying to scam him for more repairs, which would be silly because (as I mentioned) Grossinger took nearly a month to fix our car. Why would we want to deal with them any more than we had to? The service manager was hostile and escalated the situation instead of trying to be helpful. For example when we said we know the car and we know the damage happened while Grossinger had the car on their lot, he angrily said "I know you believe that but it's not true". How would you react to that?
We're reaching out to Hyundai corporate and because of our experience with 2 Hyundai dealers (so far), we will never buy another Hyundai again. It's too bad as we really like the car, it's just the service has been horrible. Whats the purpose of a great warranty if 1) you can't use your car, and 2) the dealership damages your car so you have to put in an insurance claim.
I had my doubts about all the review sites' negative reviews, yet based on my experience, most of the negative reviews I read now seem accurate. Feel free to do your own research.
