Bought a 22 gladiator this past February and a short time - Dm27927
Bought a 22 gladiator this past February and a short time later, I began noticing my clutch was performing poorly, I could barely make it up hills. I was told by selling dealer (not Rossi) that clutch recall was already done. A few months later my service transmission light came on. I called to make an appointment at Rossi and was reminded clutches were wear items and not covered under my extended warranty. No big deal, I then came in person to order a clutch.
While at the parts department, I noticed it was taking a strangely long time to just order a clutch and next thing I know, the parts person appears with Buddy from service. He sat down with me and listened to what had brought me there. He then offered to drive the Jeep and not only that scanned it for codes.
He explained that there were 2 options he thought were a possibility: clutch installed wrong or clutch calibrated wrong and said if clutch installed wrong they would perform the recall a second time. Whoa!
Dropped off my Jeep at 9am and at 2pmish was told it was ready. I paid my diag fee and rocketed out of the parking lot. Holy cow, what a difference!!
I have worked at dealers half my career and now work independent. One of the reasons I left dealers was my loss of faith in the dealership system of everyone being commission/flat rate. But Rossi Jeep and Buddy are definitely a different breed and I'll be using them again. For sure purchasing our next Jeep from them!
