Robert was a nice man, however, he wasn’t that helpful when it came to explaining anything about the car, he never once tried to “sell” me on the car. I had asked about the dusty/ scratch marks in the back seat, I asked if they were permanent or would wipe off and he made the smart remark “you do know this is a used car”. He then said he would get his detailer to go over it once more, he did not. I feel like if you’re buying a car even if it’s used, the least they can do is wipe down the car, there was a layer of dust everywhere. Another thing was that the process took entirely too long, I was there for hours.

Our salesman was grumpy, rude, unfriendly, condescending and disrespectful. Yep, I think that covers it. Never attempted to get to know us. When we questioned the value that our trade came back at compared to Kelly Blue book, he told us that no one uses the Kelly Blue book to value cars anymore. (I guess, we’re dumb.) He said that their system is the gold standard and the value that comes back, (34k), is what it is and is the highest we would be able to get. Of course the price of the Avalon was no haggle so we had no deal. He was very unhappy once he realized that. Lucky for us, at Randy Marion GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac we found a 2020 Avalon with 3,000 miles, for the same price. They gave us $37,500 for my trade in and we had an amazing sales associate. Guess we came out on top after all. Moral of the story, I would definitely not recommend T&C Toyota.

TJ worked very hard to get us a 4Runner TRD Pro in Lunar Rock- a color that was nearly impossible to find. He was so friendly and never pushy. He was just as excited as we were when he acquired one. He followed up with us several times to see if we had any questions or concerns and to make sure we were happy with our purchase. We were very pleased with our overall car buying experience. We're from the Charlotte area but chose Mount Airy Toyota because they gave us a much better price and trade-in value than local dealers. We were able to place our order online and worked with Cindi and Richard via phone and email, so we did not have to go to the dealership until the car was available. Because we made a custom order, which Mount Airy Toyota was very happy to make, it took a while for the car to be built and shipped to the dealership. This we were expecting. Cindi and Richard kept us updated regarding the status of the car. Once the vehicle arrived at the dealership, we arranged a convenient time to pickup the car. They had the paperwork ready and it did not take too long to complete the sale with Joshua. Before we left the dealership, Richard took the time to explain the many new features this car offered (our previous make of this model was several years old).
