JUNE 16TH 2026 SHOWING RESPECT I bought my car in 2014 in Bartow from Tom Edwards Chrysler. I tell you this as it is pertinent to my story. So I think I had a 1997 Town and Country, don’t remember the mileage but the year was 2014 and it was beginning to cost money. I decided to get another newer one. I spent six months researching what I wanted, finally found it, (I don’t get pleasure buying new), and went into Tom Edwards Chrysler in Bartow and told the first salesman I came across, “You have a car I want”. He said, “We don’t dicker”.. “I didn’t say I wanted to dicker. I said you have a car I want”, And so two minutes later I had exactly the car I wanted. It had ten thousand miles on it, was sold to me as “new”, (probably “off lease”) , and I was awarded all the perks of a new car. At that time it was suggested I might want to buy an additional warranty for $3400.00 and I asked if I could have a day to think about it. On the way home, in my new car, I cursed myself out for not immediately saying “YES” because I realized all cars today are just computers. This warranty was an interesting one no longer being offered. It is literally a “forever” warranty. If you have a problem, ( not caused by lack of proper care), they will pay all but $100. It never expires and Mickey gets it when I die. Also when she sells it the warranty is good for the next person. There is no twenty year limit. The service manager was an angel. The people who he managed were wonderful. I was constantly writing commendations on the web. Then Arsenio left, (the service manager). He went up to Orlando airport area. The new manager was the proverbial “xxxxxxx”. He fired the service tech with whom I worked. He fired the others and I wasn’t ever going back. I eventually went to Chrysler in Lake Wales. They cheated me big time and though I had proof I couldn’t do much. For a simple oil change I was charged twice for the oil and the bill came to $134.00. So I took my bill to Chrysler in Winter Haven and that Service Manager told me they would have charged the same thing. They’re sister businesses . Now I went to Walmart for oil changes and tires but when I heard Arsenio was back at Thunder Chrysler I called. The staff had changed, and it was back to being respectful and employees being treated right. Arsenio told me I needed an adjustment to the tray of my transmission and we booked it. He called, told me to come in and they would ferry me back and forth. I requested to be allowed to wait and so Mollylove visited everybody while we waited. (No one objected). She was so loving one woman who had just lost her pup actually cried. It did take a good two hours but people treated me as though I would break. I noticed they treated everybody super well. May I just mention a few of their people went out of their way to stop and chat. They know I will never buy another car, (I’m ninety years old and there’s no “forever warranty” on me but this dealership knows if you treat people with respect it comes back to you. Thank you Sarge, Edwin, Arsenio and Carolann, (probably got her name wrong but no one told me I just heard it). The hours flew and I think Mollylove made a few people happy. Thank you Thunder Chrysler for helping me and making it possible for me to be treated like a person again.

A very rude and unpleasant person. I am a customer at Miami Lakes and went in for a service. He wanted to charge me $140 when there is an $89 coupon available on the website. When I showed him the coupon, he became angry, insulted me, and treated me very poorly. I believe this company should not employ people like this, as they create a very negative experience for customers.

We did not end up buying a Jeep, but if we did it would have definitely been from Ethan. We are still shopping for a new vehicle and we do anticipate returning to this dealership to make a purchase. I recently received a letter stating that there were recalls on my 2004 Dodge Durango and instructing me to contact my local dealership to make arrangements to have the recalls taken care of. I was happy with the process of getting everything scheduled. I dropped my vehicle off at the specified date and time. The repairs didn't take but two days. I picked my vehicle up and all seemed fine, however, the next morning I had a dead battery. Thinking I may have left something on, I charged the battery only to discover the battery dead again later. I took the vehicle back to the dealer and explained my situation. I left the vehicle with them and they called me the next day saying I could pick my vehicle up. When I arrived, I was informed that because aftermarket headlights were installed, that was probably the cause of the problem. They recommended I take my vehicle to an auto repair shop and have them check it out. I live on Social security disability and cannot afford to take it to a repair shop. I replaced the headlights with factory headlights but that did not solve the problem. I did not have the problem before taking it to Hill-Kelly and have tried everything I know of to locate the problem. A couple of months later I still have the problem with no other resources to try and fix the problem I feel that Hill-Kelly cause and then useing the headlight change, put the fault on me.

UPDATE: I had a bad experience selling my vehicle to this store but yesterday I was contacted by Luisa Gonzalez which completely changed my view of the dealership and made me feel heard and that was what was lacking before. She first reached to me by phone and email saying that she got things sorted out and had my check ready and asked me to come by to chat. Once I got there she was very apologetic, explained the miscommunication which was their internal problem and also told me she had conversations with all departments involved to make sure this is not a problem in the future. She never pressured me to remove the review or that I had to give a good review and offered a gift as an apology which was very nice of her but not what made me update the review. Just the way she spoke to us and handled the situation was enough to make me want to update the review to reflect the situation. FIXED: I sold my car to this dealership back on May 5th and the salesperson told me that the surplus check from my payoff would be ready the next week. When I went to the dealership after 10 days I was informed that the salesperson had lied to me and it normally takes around 2-3 weeks. I went back there after 3 weeks and they said they still don’t have the check for me and are saying that the bank sent a paper title but upon checking with the bank it was the electronic title and I showed them the lien release but they still say they need the title in hand. The salesperson even said the car has already been sold when I stopped by to give the second key of the car a week after the sale. I have sold cars before and this is the first time I have to wait this long for a check. I am feeling very frustrated with the lack of communication and the run arounds they are giving me. I worked directly with Kevin the Service manager, he was prompt and he addressed all of my concerns from my previous visit as well as my current visit. What a fantastic turn-around from days of old. Beyond the beautiful new building, it seems the crew has new life as well. Actually had the chance to speak to Cameron the Service Manager. I appreciate him being accessible to customers. Shows that he cares. Both advisors are great but my big shout-out goes to Michelle. She is so personable, explains things very well, and has the patience of a saint as I observed her talking to a few more difficult customers. She even checked on how I was doing if I needed anything. I think I saw more technicians than every before, and they weren't just standing around but actively working!! I will be back and I will bring others as well.
