This was my second visit to Sunrise VW Service Department. The first visit (mid-November '20) was for multiple problems on our 2015 Jetta TDI (that another VW Dealer could not find or correct.) Most of the issues were resolved, and everything appeared to be great. In mid-December, at a regularly scheduled service by a local shop, it was discovered that some hardware had not been reinstalled - but left below the windshield on the wiper tray (under the hood). All the parts were re-installed in their respective places by the local shop - except one bolt. A call to Sunrise VW was made about the leftover bolt, which they said was not needed since it had been replaced by a new one during the previous repair. A week later the CEL came on, with a code indicating a sensor problem in the emissions system (that had just been replaced at the last repair visit at Sunrise VW.) Another call was made to schedule a service visit the following week, which was Christmas week, and we were told to drop-off the car and leave it a few days because they were completely booked for that week. When we arrived they were surprised we were there, and tried to say we didn't have an appointment and were not told to drop it off. We didn't argue, just left it with them, and asked them to do their best. The following day we got a call to pickup the car, that a part had been ordered, and would be several days arriving due to the holidays, but the car would be safe to drive. A week later (New Year's Eve) the CEL came on again, the engine lost power, and the car would not accelerate above 25MPH. Since we were close to Sunrise VW, we dropped-off the car and left it for repairs.
Our overall experience with Sunrise VW to this point has been good. Our first experience in November with Sunrise VW was excellent, due to the professionalism, friendliness, and ability to resolve a long list of repairs needed in less than a week. The last visit of Christmas week was disappointing, mostly due to the attitude we were faced with, and the lack of ability to successfully complete the needed repairs. Due to the holiday season being busy and demanding, we were somewhat understanding, although professionalism & character should remain a constant - regardless of any situation. A talk with the Service Manager at a later date resolved our concerns - or this review would not have been as good or as highly rated.

Although, I do think that VW needs to step up with their service a little. If anyone is making appointments to have an oil change.... or for anything in service, they should be in and out of the dealership as quickly as possible. I got there at 1:05pm and my car was brought up to the front around 2:45pm. If customers are calling in advanced to schedule an appointment, we should be in and out or as quickly as possible.
I know this also has happened in the past where I came in to bring my neighbors car for an oil change and I waited for 2 hours. If anything customers shouldn’t be waiting for more than an hour to get an oil change. Just saying...

When I originally took my 2019 Arteon for an oil change, the check engine light went on. It took the service guys a number of tries, but they wouldn't stop until they found the problem. After reviewing the analysis with Tech support, they found that it was an injector, an unusual problem for a 2019 Arteon. It runs as beautifully as it did when I first bought it... and all under warranty! Thank you, gentlemen.

While a (very) few names (Service Advisors) may have changed over the last 20 years, the outstanding service @ Pete Moore has not! Irregardless what type of car, major/minor repairs, scheduled mtc or "warranty" work - the Service Department @ Pete Moore in Pensacola has consistently been EXCELLENT!! I thought it was largely due to "my" Svc Advisor, whom I worked with for over a decade. But when he had to leave for medical reasons - Jay Rosenfeld - who also remembered and knew me from coming in - immediately stepped in to take care of me. These guys and this entire department are just exceptional, straight forward, friendly and "cool"! You feel like "family" while checking in & out. No surprises or confusion here. Everything is explained in a simple, easy manner. I "used" to shop around, compare prices. And when I did their estimates, parts, etc. were always better. But the REAL VALUE and Deal, however, is "what they do and how they do it" (very thorough). It's hard to describe or explain, but they are simply "different". And better. They "catch" (see) things before they get costly, or dangerous, or leave you stranded. One unnecessary part, repair, etc. - which seemed to always be the case elsewhere - never occurs here. Sometimes they do find additional issues while working on my car, which is what I want them to do, but will always call first to discuss.
They don't try to "scare" you or pressure you (nickel & dime you with add ons) into doing additional or unnecessary service. They are not "selling", which many other shops, dealers, etc. definitely do. They focus on the problem, reason you first went there for. And FIX IT - the first time! Again - no surprises here. They do what they say. Communication is superb. Service is outstanding. You won't need the Manager, Mike Kern, but he is always close by, and accessible. Mike is positive, upbeat, always smiling.....and it rubs off into/onto the entire department. These guys are such a "pleasure" to deal and work with, they make "having to go & fix your car" even Fun!! I simply can not say enough about this Svc Department and everyone who works there. It was so bad, that I owned two (2) Porsches and upon getting my vehicle fixed and returned to me and immediately traded in my 2016 Porsche Cayman S with only 11,927 miles for an American manufacturer.
Every week I called after 1 1/2 months without car. Always a different story. Blame this, blame that, etc.....They never texted or e-mailed to tell me progress of vehicle.
