I recently leased a car through South County Lexus and Jeffrey Rawitch assisted me in the sale. It was the best experience I've had at a dealership. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable through the whole process. He really went above and beyond for me and even assisted me with turning in my old lease. I knew leaving the dealership I was getting put in a great car and everything that was promised to me, Jeffrey came thorough with. My recent experience purchasing a 2021 LC500 convertible at Lexus of Riverside was extraordinarily pleasant.
I had a 2018 LC500 model to trade in on a Sunday afternoon, and discovered online that Lexus of Riverside had the new LC500 convertible model I had been looking for. I sent them an email requesting information and received a very rapid response. After agreeing to a sales price on the new car I sent them photos of my existing car so we could agree to a trade in value. We were able to quickly and easily negotiate a final deal. All this was accomplished quickly and with none of the sales nonsense that so frequently accompanies shopping for a new car.
My sales consultant, Wendell (“Dell”) Velandres, was professional, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. He was also a good listener and that helped make the process incredibly easy. Another individual named John whose last name I did not get, also participated in finalizing the deal and he, like Dell, was a very competent professional. I’m an experienced car buyer (at least 30 over the years and counting) and was recognized and treated as such by both Dell and John.
I had no cause for concern about safety due to the virus – after putting together all the paperwork, Dell delivered the new car to my home and picked up my trade-in. With all wearing masks we completed my end of the paperwork in my driveway using my trade in as a desk top. (Dell was accompanied by an associate whose name escapes me but who was also very professional, knowledgeable and friendly). The whole drop off and paperwork signing was done in a socially distanced manner in 20 or so minutes.
Overall I found all staff at Lexus of Riverside to be cordial, professional, and efficient, which resulted in a very smooth transaction. Start to finish the whole experience was a good one. I highly recommend this dealership for your next Lexus purchase!

Last weekend, I made an appointment to go in to look at hybrid SUVs. I spoke with Jim. When I arrived, Jim greeted me at the door because maybe he was "next up"? When I introduced myself to him he had no idea why I was there. He said, "C'mon" and walked me to the front desk where it was noted that I had called to make an appointment, with Jim, but I had not been "set up". Jim was asked if he would "take me" and somewhat reluctantly he agreed. Did I say that no one apologized for the screw up?!?!
After he completed a phone call and sent a text, we spoke a bit about what I was interested in and, again, he said, "C'mon, and led me to some SUVs outside. I looked at the SUV model that I liked best while Jim sent another next. After deciding to test drive an SUV, Jim completed the paperwork and, again, said, "C'mon." Never once did Jim call me by my name instead speaking to me as if I were a puppy with instructions to c'mon. Oh, did I say he was a bit distracted with his text messages?!?!
Jim provided a good review of the driving instruments before I took off. I returned from my test drive and shared with Jim that I didn't like the weight of vehicle on the freeway. And in my head I knew that I didn't like the treatment I had received either. However, I thanked Jim for his time. Did I mention that Jim didn't walk me out nor wish me a good day or... wait for it... anything else?
C'mon Jim! You can do better than this.

When I arrived at the dealership, I was asked how they could help me. I told them I wanted to lease a new RX450. "Well, did you look at the web site?" was the response. No.... "Okay, so you're just a "walk in then".... I guess so. When the salesman arrived, I told him what I wanted. His response: "I have only three in stock and they're all the identical color and model, saphire white" Sorry, I'm looking for Atomic Silver. "Sorry, can't help you".....and he bustled off.... Another dealership would have attempted to find a car that met my specs....offered to order it....something. Not here!
Guess business must be good to be able to blow off a customer like that...!

HEALTH WARNING – Last week I took my car to Lexus of Oakland for service and they disinfected the interior of my car with 5 to 6 seconds of a heavy-duty electrostatic spray. They neither asked for my permission nor gave me any notice ahead of time. When I asked what it was, I was told it was just disinfectant, but when I opened the door to check I was overwhelmed by the fumes and became violently ill after returning home. I have emailed the general manager three times over the past five days, explained what happened and asked for the name of the product they are using, but they have failed to respond. I just want to warn everybody that I’m concerned Lexus of Oakland is using a potentially toxic product inside everyone’s vehicles, that has not been approved by the EPA for use with COVID-19 and that whatever it is may be causing harm.
