I have generally had great experiences with this location, however, my last appointment left me both perplexed and frustrated. I scheduled an appointment after hearing a strange noise in the rear of my SUV. I thought perhaps it was related to some previous work that was done and asked if it could be looked at. The dealer associate assigned to me explained that the noise I was hearing was coming from items that were located in the front pockets of my door. Inside my front door were a CD case and a pair of sunglasses. I explained that the sounds could not be from those items, as I had heard the sounds prior to putting these items in my car. He then suggests that due to the rain, the diagnostician could not assess properly and suggested if I hear the noise again to return and they would take another look at it. He then proceeds to tell me that the charge from removing my CD and sun-glass case was 90$! He then say that my warranty was expired and I needed to make the payment for today's service. I explained that I purchased the extended warranty, to which he then suggests, "that doesn't apply to your CPO." I then explained that I was assured that the extended warranty covered my car from bumper to bumper, as per the BMW employees and manager that sold the car LESS than one year ago. He again responds that this information was not accurate and explained "They (meaning BMW employees) get people to buy those warranty's but they don't cover CPO vehicles." He continued, "besides, I have to pay my guys for looking at your car." I was furious and again pleaded my case that the cases in the front door of my car were not responsible for the sounds I heard from the rear and further more, if the rain impacted the assessment, an honorable associate would have suggested I come back when weather conditions were more permitting. He then agreed to lower the price and again suggested that the technicians needed to be paid. I did not argue, but did let him know that I felt insulted and taken advantage of.
And to top of my experience, my front license plate cover was bent and hanging off the bumper when they returned my car. He offered half of an apology and stated, "we have new workers up there..." Not sure how that is related to the damage done to my personalized plate cover. He says, they bent it back into place the best that they could...
Just not a good experience.
As previously stated, I generally had good service, but this last appointment left me concerned that I have been taken advantage, especially with regards to the purchase of my extended warranty.
On a positive note, the cashier was really nice and apologetic.
I'm not happy and this experience was so invalidating!

I could not find the BMW of my dreams locally, but I found it on line at Coast BMW. I was hesitant to purchase a car unseen and undriven (by me), but Daniel was very transparent and helpful and ameliorated my concerns about buying a car from a dealership so far away and having it sent to me.
Daniel was always quick to respond to my emails and texts when I had questions. He sent me all the photos I needed so that I felt good about the purchase. The price was very competitive and I impossible for me to say no to this amazing car (X6)!

This dealership is really great! Everything went very smoothly and I ended up with a great deal on a 330i. My saleswoman, Anita was extremely kind and helpful and it never felt like she was putting pressure on me to buy. Waiting around for paperwork is typical for a dealership but I felt that they did a good job of getting things done as fast as they can and making the experience as smooth as possible. Highly recommended!

Active Recalls! Yet charged $171.52 for Cas Cap '08 BMW X5 - Mohican
On 10/31/17 my Check Engine light came on.Currently there are 6 active recalls on my car, to include the Fuel and Exhaust System. I took the BMW in for the recalls and I was told the problem was a faulty gas cap. I was charged $171.52 for diagnosis and gas cap. Mechanic Steve Mayfiled asked me if my car is leaking oil, I replied No, Never! I am certain because I have a very clean garage floor where the car is parked. He said he noted other faulty codes on the diagnoses test. He said I should schedule to get this repaired immediately. NOW, I bring my car home and it's leaking oil from the engine along with service lights (Brake & Service) coming on. Not to mention the hood on my car won't close properly. What a coincidence!! So only the Fuel Pump and Air Bag were replaced and the Exhaust System was not even mentioned! I told Steve Mayfield that I researched the site Cars.com regarding the recalls and he said they are not accurate with the information. My complaint is that my car is worse off now than before I took it in and I have called regarding the hood and not even gotten a call back after I sent the message URGENT! What a shame!!
Incompetence and Indifference - TrevR
On January 15, 2018 my wife and I leased a 2017 BMW i3 REx from Hansel BMW of Santa Rosa. In California, this vehicle qualifies for Clean Air Vehicle Decals, which allows use of the HOV lane. This is a huge benefit of driving an i3 for us given that we commute 120 miles round-trip everyday from Napa to San Francisco for work.
When we signed our lease agreement, we were told by Hansel BMW that the application for the Decals for our vehicle had been submitted to DMV "several weeks" prior and that they should be arriving any day. Over the course of the next several weeks, we continually followed-up with Hansel BMW to determine the status of the Decals. Sometimes when we called or emailed, they responded, sometimes they simply did not. When they did respond, they continually told us 'we checked with our person who handles this and no Decals for your vehicle have arrived.' After 8 weeks of this same scenario playing out over-and-over, we wrote an email explaining the situation and our frustration, being sure to include multiple people listed as responsible for Hansel BMW of Santa Rosa on the distribution. This included Justin Hansel and Henry Hansel. Only then did we get a response, this time from Lorenzo Serrano.
On March 9, Lorenzo called to let us know that since the 19th (we presume of February) Hansel BWM has known that the DMV kicked the application for the Decals back to the dealership due to the vehicle being registered to my wife and I in the interim. Lorenzo said the dealer now needed to reapply for the Decals (why this didn't happen back on the 19th is beyond me) and we'd have to wait another approximately 10 weeks to receive them. That would bring the total wait time for the Decals to nearly 20 weeks. When pressed as to why the re-application didn't happen long ago and why Hansel BMW of Santa Rosa didn't disclose the delay to us despite our repeated inquiries, we were simply told "there's nothing we can do."
When you go with a brand like BMW, you expect a certain level of customer service and customer experience from beginning to end. Hansel BMW of Santa Rosa, based on our experience, is completely incapable of delivering on the promise that the BMW brand stands for.

I have just moved from Monterey, CA, to Oceanside, CA.
I purchased my BMW Z3 Roadster in Monterey. I assumed that all BMW Dealerships gave the same exquisite attention to it's customers as I received in Monterey.
I was SHOCKED when I was treated so disrespectfully, and poorly by the BMW Dealership in Vista.
I am used to being treated like a high-end car buyer. Not so in Vista.
I was under the impression that all dealerships that sell and service high-end cars treated their customers in a respectful way.
I was told by Maya, the new General Manager in Vista, that he was "fixing" his staff and dealing with the disrespectful comments, did-organization, and poor service his dealership was showing customers.
A new General Manager needs to realize that this respect needs to come from the TOP!
I called to cancel my appointment with him, because I was ill, and asked that he call me back to reschedule. I called and left that same message with 4 different people, and 6 hours later, he had still not returned my call. He told me that he had received my message, when I called and he was the person that picked up the phone.
In talking to him, I was spoken over, and everything that I said was negated or an excuse was made.
I felt like I was not heard at all. I certainly was not treated like a BMW owner!
Bottom line: when you own a high-end BMW, you should be treated like the car that you have purchased.
Don't go to BMW of Vista! I felt like, and was treated like, I had just driven a beat up old used cheap car to a used car lot.
I will be driving to another city for the care of my BMW!
