Four years ago I went to SB BMW to purchase a car but they gave me a terrible price so I bought it from Riverside. However, I decided to service my car @ South Bay BMW. Then last year I was looking for a new car for my wife. I contacted the dealer and they never followed up with me. I purchased a car from Keyes Audi. Everything was fine till my factory warranty and maintenance expired recently. Last week I went to for an oil change. The service adviser told me that I also need spark plug replacement and oil change. I knew about the spark plugs because I already changed them. I was quoted for $450 (vs $100 for labor and $80 for OEM parts @ 3rd party shop). We moved forward and the service adviser "Kyle Robinson" told me that they have a "service special" for oil change @ $99 (down from 250). Great? He started working on the paper and when I was about to sign it I've noticed a charge "Client states perform standard scope per key reading". I asked what does it mean because the price was higher than the actual oil change. He explained that they need to reset the computer readings after the oil change for just $116 on top of the $99 oil change. (I'm not a car expert but I usually research about cars and I knew that resetting the oil/brake interval is a matter of holding a button for few seconds and then holding it for few more to reset the service interval). I asked him if he wants to charge me $116 for probably 30 sec of work and he said " Yeah, but it's still cheaper if do that than if you go will the full price oil change $250... I confronted him and he was pissed and he scratched it from the invoice. (I was promised a complimentary loaner when I scheduled the appointment, however, he called an Uber to pick me up. That's fine ... Then a few hours later he called me to tell me that my car is ready. My wife dropped me at the dealership and I paid the invoice. I gave the valet the invoice and 15 min later I asked what happen with my car. Few mins later the valet told me that my car is not ready. It'll take an hour to wash it. They completely lost me as a client.

Be Aware of the Loaner Car Deposit - t4dang
I've had a loaner car when I had my car serviced at BMW SF, and the deposit of $250 on my credit card is still in pending even though I've returned the car on the same day in the same condition as I rented it. So far the holding deposit is still on my credit card after 14 business days. I called BMW SF and they asked me to call my credit card company. I had no choice but dispute it thru my CC company.

Unscrupulous Service - Hak Sim
Absolutely the most unscrupulous dealership I know. Would have given it negative 5 stars rating if possible. My wife had the misfortune of bringing our 2013 BMX X3 to BMW Irvine for an oil change and standard vehicle inspection two weeks ago. Our extended warranty just expired in April this year and we plan to ship the car to NY soon for 1 year. The technician recommended oil and coolant leaks repairs, and 2 brake pads replacement, totaling $2400++. Since I am out of town, my wife got her sister and brother-in-law to check those recommended fixes at BMW Irvine in person before she decides to go ahead or not. They drove to BMW Irvine; spoke to the manager and was told that the leaks are really minor and they can cut the total price down to $1300++. Needless to say, my wife gave her consent to proceed. However, the very next day BMW Irvine called to let her know that the price was raised back to $2400++. She was exasperated. Immediately, my wife informed her sister to check with BMW Irvine in person again and if they cannot keep their promise ($1300++) then she will have the work done somewhere else. This time the manager insisted that they will not lower the price. Unfortunately, they had completed the fixes without her consent and therefore she must pay even though they gave her 20% discount for the confusion! Adding to the insult, they did not perform any oil change!
A few days later, I called up BMW Irvine to file a complaint. I related the entire incident to a manager named Rob Davis who promised to get back to me after his investigation. Unsurprisingly, I never hear from him or anyone from BMW Irvine regarding this case. Yes, I did try in vain to reach him again. Lesson learned, stay away from BMW Irvine at all cost.

Customer Service at its BEST! Starting from Service Advisor Miguel Rivera. Very accommodating, compassionate, courteous, always informed me of status of my car. Miguel referred me to Customer Relations Mgr.Ms. Jazmine when there was no loaner car available (not until 5 later) and she made ways for me to get a loaner car same day I was there. Wow! That is what you call service, she was understanding of my situation when she found out.
To top these all, I did not even get my car from this dealership, (just moved into the area and did not know about them). Got my car from South Bay BMW that provided me lousy service, did not inform me of the BMW Roadside assistance service when i needed it, so I had my car towed by AAA and had to pay for extra miles ($70) and never got reimbursed by South Bay BMW; had to wait long time, all the time I brought my car for service. They told me it was ready but I had to wait more than an hour still, missing my other important appointments. Will NOT recommend them to any of my friends.
I will highly recommend LONG BEACH BMW for their excellent customer service. Maybe I could have gotten a better deal from them had I got my car from them.
