Friday evening we decided to brave the heat and set out to see a few vehicles after passing the idea around for a couple months. We Have a friend that works for GM and love the company cars they get- one of them has been the Traverse. We landed at Jerry Haggerty in Glen Ellyn and were promptly greeted by Steve B. We looked at several versions including the new LT with AWD in red! We have a 5 month young one as well as furry family members so space in our new car was the first consideration. Looking at a few of the different Traverse trim levels at Haggerty we really fell in love with the RS Steve B showed us and had never considered a previously driven car until he told us about this Certifed program they have where these GM Executive cars are sold discounted with a HUGE warranty up to 100k miles!!! These are the same cars our friend that works for GM drives and turns in after several 1000 miles or months. Knowing these cars become available after a while has changed our line of thought about a "used" car. We spent the last 5 years with our Equinox and it treated us so well. Before that a Chevy Malibu did the job. We were close to getting this Traverse when Steve pointed out another AWESOME alternative.. the GMC Acadia! All the same features we loved about the RD Traverse but a few additional were in this great Denali trim. We didn't have time to dig too deep while our little one was napping in the Equinox so scheduled a return visit for Saturday. We compared both cars on paper option to option etc. Then Saturday narrowed down to 2 of the several we considered- the Traverse RS and Acadia Denali. After driving both and seeing them side by side we struck a golden deal on the Acadia! They gave us what we wanted for the trade and saved some more on the GMC. We have some roadtrips coming up soon as our families live away from the area- cant wait to get on the highway for these longer rides! One certain thing in this uncertain time we are living in is that we found Value and Integrity at Jerry Haggerty with Steve B. If you're looking for a great deal on new wheels I sure do recommend you see Steve B at Jerry Haggerty Chevy. Be sure you tell them Jeff and Shaina said to see them!
