I was satisfied with the oil change and tire rotation - lev3

I was satisfied with the oil change and tire rotation service. When a service department person approached me with results of the battery inspection, he quoted me a price of $432 to replace it. I don't believe that the price quoted included labor or tax. My wife and I purchased our used Highlander last year because we believed that Toyotas were inexpensive to own and maintain; If that's what it costs to replace a battery, then it is cause for concern.

I have been a customer of Jays for the last 9 years. - Amy.richmond64

I have been a customer of Jays for the last 9 years. In that time I have leased four cars from him. I also recently brought my son to him to lease his first car. Each transaction with him has been absolutely seamless. From choosing a vehicle, financing, and maintenance. Every car has ran great and was reliable. I absolutely love my Toyotas and will never drive anything else. Jay has always been patient, honest, friendly and accommodating. He always has my best interests in mind. I have also had nothing but positive experiences with other employees in the finance and repair departments. I have found them all to be extremely friendly and honest as well. I highly recommend Jay and Toyota of Bristol for all your car needs. I promise you will not be disappointed!

I have purchased 4 cars from this dealer. I cannot speak highly enough about Guy and Henry - honest, fair, transparent and extremely customer service oriented. I felt like they personally cared for me despite being one of many customers they see each week. Cannot speaking highly enough about them.

Worst experience ever. - JDM

Worst experience ever. Bob Magnano is a pompous idiot and liar. Bob is such a tool that without even asking for a minute to converse with someone in front of him he starts a conversation while on the phone with me. He also insists on accompanying you on test drives. Just so you know Bob, people like to take vehicles out without you breathing down their necks. The truck I bought from them was an overpriced 2019 Tundra Crew Max. I offered my newer Tacoma as a trade. Bob would not budge a nickel on the Tundra citing they were making hundreds not thousands on the sale. The truck had recently been fitted with a flimsy aftermarket bed liner with no bed rails. I later learned the reason for the bed liner was to conceal that the bed was rotted out in one area. Because Bob insisted on accompanying me on the test drive I really didn’t go through the truck like I would have had I been trusted to take it out solo. At 62 years old I didn’t need a chaperone. The fact that the 2019 tundra does not come with a head unit that offers CarPlay would have made me think long and hard about buying it. That it had Laufen tires on it was also comical. I had to replace the “new” tires within 6 months. The amount they gave me for my Tacoma ended up being $7000 less than they sold it for and given that he refused to offer me an additional $1000 for my trade was ridiculous. When you pay $42,000 with tax and fees for a vehicle offered at a legitimate manufacturers dealership you would hope that they would treat you right. After several months I experienced my first flat tire at which time I discovered that there was no jack under the rear seat. I emailed the dealership letting them know and very politely asked if they could get me one. I did not demand it be provided free of charge but hoped they would do the right thing. I never received a response. Something as insignificant as an inquiry regarding a jack should have been answered immediately. If a dealership can’t be bothered with something minor how can you feel comfortable that they will have your back if a serious issue should arise. The Kilmas auto group, in no way shape or form, cares about its customers after the sale. I have an 823 credit score and the vehicle I bought was a gold level certified preowned vehicle. The promotion on the Toyota Certified Preowned website ( were I learned about the truck) was for an interest rate of 5% the same rate offered when purchasing a new Toyota. The finance officer Frank Buffano came back with a nearly 8% apr offer. Totally disregarding the corporate websites offer of 5%. I really liked the truck and took their loan which I then paid in full a week later. The sad thing is I actually came in to buy 2 vehicles. I also wanted to upgrade my wife’s 2012 Highlander Limited. After the experience dealing with Bob and Frank I decided against giving them any additional business. I really don’t think they care that they lost not only a sale, but a customer in general. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to my worst enemy.

Went and saw the truck, went home, next day had a verbal - tom8042

Went and saw the truck, went home, next day had a verbal deal in place with the Sales Manager Hector Baez via phone, confirmed with his manager Jason. The next day could not get a hold of either, later in the day got a call back from the Sales rep that they sold it someone else. Don't trust these guys.

I had an issue with a 2022 4Runner with 31K Miles that I - Lordjesus3

I had an issue with a 2022 4Runner with 31K Miles that I just purchased ( Still under Warranty) Brought it to Dowling and had it looked at. My previous vehicle was a 2007 Rav4 AWD. The Rav4 is Automatic AWD, or you can press a button to engage it from a stop, the 4Runner is quite different with a sequence that you must go through (some what confusing) to engage 4Lo/4Hi/2Hi/DAC/ATRAC. To make a long story short I was trying out the different systems and I got stuck in 4Lo and I could not get it out? Drove it in Reverse, than Forward (In 2Hi) but it would not disengage? So I called Dowling's Service Department while in the car for help and I get this guy Pat to ask for some guidance, and what do I get? A really nasty person talking down to me, telling me that I'm looking for trouble and that he was not going to help me!!! All I have to say is, this guy needs a Vacation! Completely disrespectful, Arrogant, full of himself (He said I have 37 Years of experience) BIG DEAL DUMMY! When you talk down to people, and not offer help you should be FIRED! Last time I'll go to this dealership! YOU SUCK! This is directed at Pat! Matt, and Chris where very good!

This is by far the worst Toyota dealership experience I - jhclee

This is by far the worst Toyota dealership experience I have had in 26 years as a Toyota customer, and I have been to many. I came in for a simple replacement key for my RAV4. Three months later, I still do not have one, and I am still waiting on a refund check. Here is what happened: They programmed a new key, handed it to me, and I discovered right there in the parking lot that the remote did not work. When I pointed this out, they explained it away as a "bad key," which means they charged me for a key they knew was defective. They promised to reorder it and call me. They did not call. Two months passed before I finally scheduled another appointment. I drove in and was told they could not program anything because their internet was down and I would need to reschedule. They said they would call me. They did not. Then, on the day of the rescheduled appointment, they called to say the replacement key still had not arrived due to a FedEx delay. At no point in this entire ordeal did anyone from the office follow up as promised. Every single time, I had to call them. When I raised my frustration, staff were dismissive and deflected responsibility. One person casually mentioned that "70% of new keys can fail," as if that were an acceptable explanation for the situation. I finally gave up and canceled everything. They said a refund check was on its way. Two months later, no check, no call. The incompetence here runs from top to bottom, including management. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone or if you need to get your Toyota serviced.
