Fantastic buying experience - matthewelamarche
The dealership in my area is known to be less than stellar so I took a chance and drove over an hour to go to Zimmerman. It was worth it and more. I was in and out in 2 hours, received a great deal, and was nothing short of amazed at how much I enjoyed the buying experience at Zimmerman Honda. Marty did an excellent job making me feel welcome and provided top tier customer service. Jeff was extremely helpful and made sure I understood everything I needed to sign. Overall I would recommend everyone who was looking at buying a Honda look at Zimmerman first.

Dayna was fantastic. Very relaxed, easy experience, which is exactly what I needed. When I was ready to buy, she had as much of the paperwork ready for me as possible. This is my third purchase from this dealer in the last 12 years, and both their sales and service are fantastic.
Purchase of a new CR-V - Frank & Paula
With the competent help of Clark Taylor, we purchased a new 2019 CR-V EX. I can’t say enough good things about Clark. He selected the vehicle within the specs and price range we wanted to be in. We felt we were dealt with in a fair and honest manner concerning the evaluation of our trade-in van that we used as a down payment towards the new CR-V. We plan to purchase all our vehicles through Clark!

Sam was amazing from start to finish this was my first car purchase and he made sure everything went smoothly. I walked in early this morning with the intention of just getting information on a car and he definitely made sure I got the right help to change my mind and walk out with a brand new car within my budget. He was very straight to the point and didn’t try to oversell anything he made sure I got what I wanted and helped me get an amazing price. I would definitely recommend him to any new car buyers.

Used car purchase - Don
Purchased a 2018 Honda Accord Touring, 14k miles. Originally test drove with Don Bailey. When I came in to purchase, Don was with a customer so Don transferred me to Jim Infusino, who was also busy. Finally got transferred to a third person (can't remember name) to go through the paperwork for the purchase. All were fine do work with. When I got the car noticed a few nicks/scratches that should have been buffed out. Since it was a Saturday afternoon, service was not available so Jim told me to come in a different time to see if they could be fixed. I know the car is used but feel those nicks should have been taken care of prior to sale. Minor issue, but still an issue since Brilliance is not close to where I live.
The only other issue is that nobody spent any time with me going over some of the car's features. There is a lot of technology in the car, and since my last car was 12 years old, it is very new to me. 15 minutes going over some of the basics would have been helpful.

Best Dealer I Know! - ExClassyCarGuy
I’ve been a huge fan of Ben Quattrone’s team at Honda BMW of Champaign for a few years now. I’ve purchased 2 vehicles from them and I service 4 vehicles with them. I find them accessible when I have questions and they actually care about my concerns. Furthermore, 3 of the 4 vehicles I have serviced with Honda BMW of Champaign are makes that are sold by other dealers in this area (2 Hyundai and 1 Volvo). The service department is better than other area alternatives and have extremely fair prices, even on my Volvo.
Yesterday, when I had an appointment for my wife’s Honda Civic, I discovered I had another appointment that was in conflict with the Honda appointment. I’d completely forgotten the other one and I’d planned on waiting in the service department and doing some paperwork on my laptop. I shared my problem with Drew Ackman, my awesome service advisor, and he consulted with Ben. Ben, the owner, went and got me a vehicle to test drive to my other appointment. Sure, Ben knows I’ll need another vehicle in not too long but he was helping out a good customer out who was in a tough spot. And Ben went and got the car himself! You sure won’t find many other dealers do that!
Oh and what a vehicle he let me test drive! A brand new 2019 Honda Passport. It was loaded with 20 inch rims and has on/off road capability. I later researched it some and found out is significantly less money than a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Honda was much more refined and handled better. It was very nice and I’ll definitely tell my friends and neighbors about it and Honda BMW of Champaign.
It’s rare to find a car dealership staffed from top to bottom with super people like the team at Honda BMW of Champaign. It’s the only place I’ll go for my automotive needs.
Happy with purchase! - JazzGal987
Mike was very pleasant, jovial, and helpful. He knew a lot about the Honda Cr-v teaching us about some of the clever new features on the car. Jim S. was most helpful with the financials. Thanks Mike and Jim!
Best car buying experience - Ginger
I worked with LaMont and Keith at Bob Brady Honda and could not have had a better experience. We had done our research and worked with five dealerships to get the best price possible. Bob Brady Honda came through with the best price and straightforward professional service. As a widow with a limited amount of income that was very important to me.
Poor Customer Service at Service Department - KG1992
I have called numerous times over the past two years to schedule maintenance on my Honda. If I had a different make of car I would not being going to Honda. The service department is grossly understaffed, which equates to poor customer service. Today, I tried to call four different times with a combine eight minutes of the phone ringing continuously. Good business practice should be answering a phone or placing a caller on hold within three rings!
I called the operator and it took over 6 rings to answer and she stated that she’s probably at lunch and no one answers the phone. Really?!? Do you think during a lunch hour is when you may have high call volume? Susan needs to stay in the office and focus on her customers!
Honda on Grand review - Roman1

They have always been honest with me.Karl the master mechanic and Jamie are great!
Riyhann P. Was an extremely helpful and nice salesman - numbnutz7865
I went into McGrath to pick out a Civic, and Riyhann (I apologize if that’s not how you spell her name) greeted me promptly without being pushy. She showed me to a desk and asked what I was looking for. We went out to test drive a civic sport, and I was extremely surprised by her knowledge of the car and her knowledge of competitor models (Corolla, focus, etc.) and how the civic stacks up to them. At no point did I feel like I was with a salesman, she felt like a friend. Too bad my husband talked me out of the car, but we will definitely be coming here again. Hopefully we can work with Riyhann again!
Great Customer Service! - JimH123
First time at the dealership. I had a potential problem with my electrical system. Worked with Michael, they could not replicate my issue with the warning lights. Michael has his team do an analysis of the electrical system that checked clean. He also did not charge me for any of the work given the car passed the check. Customer service was great - I will be using them for future service.
Muller Honda Service Department - LPD28
Excellent service department! Service advisor Jason Fosdick is outstanding to work with. He’s very knowledgeable and only recommends what’s needed. He is the main reason why we service our Honda vehicles though Muller Honda of Gurnee.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS HONDA DEALER!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT!!! - mmarcus
I would SERIOUSLY recommend avoiding this dealership for buying a car. I purchased two "certified" used vehicles from them a month or so ago - a CRV and an Odyssey. We're having twins, so safety is important to us, and one of the reasons we wanted certified vehicles. Within two weeks of purchase, I had to replace all four tires of the CRV and I was jumping the car every morning because the battery was leaking and corroded. When I reached out to the general manager via email, I never heard back.
It was pretty obvious that neither car had actually been inspected as part of the certification process, and the dealership just straight up lied about it. How in the world am I now supposed to feel confident that either of these vehicles are safe for my family?
I've had to involve Honda's corporate office, and it's a big headache. Don't be dumb like me. There are a LOT of good Honda dealerships around. Fletcher Jones Honda is being run by folks who apparently have no issue acting unethically for a quick buck. The kind of people who give car dealerships a bad name. Be smarter than me and go to a different dealership.
grest service - Typer2017
out standing customer service will recommend to family and friends the service parts department is super thanks for the great customer service please to your self a favor and check them out i sure dont regret it
SOLD US A REPOSSESED CAR , LIED AND SAID IT WAS A TRADE IN - BenDover
I am writing this review so no one gets scammed like i did on a used car.... In 2015 I became disabled with a neurological disorder and had to move from the Chicago area because of the high property tax and cost of living , but my daughter stayed behind to go to school with our old car. She was having lots of issues with the car and I was paying ridiculous amounts of money for simple repairs i could not do because i was 650 miles away. We were in need of a reliable car for my daughter her taste in cars was limited. With my health issues, time was short and i didn't have the ability to search for weeks to buy from a private party. I normally would never use a dealer for a used car because of the markup, but she found the car she wanted on the internet at mcgrath. i researched the value of the car, and this dealer had the car priced at average dealer pricing. When we came to look it was a cold and rainy day, we took a test drive, and during the drive we got the typical lies and a story about the people who traded it in and what new car they supposedly bought. They refused to bring it in the shop and put it on a lift so i could thoroughly check it out, stating it was to busy in the service are. I should have left, but due to my medical condition, I just wanted to get it over with and go home. We went back inside and discussed i was paying cash. he wrote up the papers and the price was about 2 grand more then it was listed for online, As i struggled to read through the papers with my neurological condition, I noticed all these crazy add ons, with one being a $1000 theft service fee, and a warranty i didn't ask for. the salesman insisted i must purchase the theft service, and some of the other junk listed. I understand the bogus dealer fees all the dealers do, but most of the stuff was just sneaky add ons. the salesman went back and forth from the managers office several times taking the fees off one by one until we were close to what i was willing to pay for the car. I wanted the car for 9500 out the door, which was a very fair dealer price for the make and model, considering a dealer only pays about half the value on a trade in, there should have been plenty of wiggle room, after a couple hours of negotiating, I gave up and they let me walk out the door over a $500 difference in what i was wiling to pay. As we were about to drive away my daughter really wanted this car, so I caved and went back in. With me living out of state, I was responsible for taxes and registration. If i was local, I never would have known I bought a "REPO" car that this place got from an auction, and not a trade in like i was told. When the title arrived about a month later, the paperwork included a repossession affidavit from the secretary of state that I was required to submit when I applied for a new title. When this paperwork arrived I immediately called the dealer with my concerns. I was promised they would look into it and get a return call. When the return call came, I did get an apology and was told that this car slipped through the crack, they usually don't sell repossessed cars. I was promised he would work out some oil changes for a year, or other service to make it right. The representative I spoke with said he would call me back with he could offer me. I never got a call back. I tried a few times to contact the guy who I spoke with without success. I gave up due to my health issues and knowing I didn't have much recourse because they legally scammed me. I did write a google review of my experience about a year later, and I got the canned response that this dealer leaves for all the bad reviews asking to call. I humored myself and did call, again I got the apology, and a promise to make it right. Again i was told they would call back after he looks into what he could do. Again no return call. Knowing what i know now, I got ripped off. During the 3 hours it took to purchase this vehicle, and listening to the sales manager lie (with a big white booger hanging from his nose) when he insisted he had way to much into this car to sell it for $9500. Repos sell at auctions for well below value due to the risk involved, so at most they paid between 4 or 5 grand for this. Its my fault for getting ripped off, but time and my health condition got the best of me. I grew up around cars in the 80, and had many friends in the dealer business, not much has changed in the atmosphere, except cash doesn't get the best deal anymore, dealers now would rather have you finance because they make way more money making financing deals. I was expecting Mcgrath to be above the typical shady dealer with them being such a large company with multiple dealerships, but i was wrong. Again, with all the bogus fees and extras added to the deal that took hours to get removed from the deal, its my fault for not walking away. If you do take the gamble to buy from these shady people, be sure to triple check the paperwork, and ask to see the title. I would also assume that these practices happen at all mcgrath dealers.

I recently purchased a CRV and the experience couldn't have been better. Everything was taken care of in a timely manner and no pushy sales pitches. As a woman I appreciated the respect of the gentleman I worked with. They even delivered my car to my home for me. Thanks for going the extra mile. Kathryn Bembenek
